Thanks man. Yeah if you ask my wife I did sell my soul to get it but it's been well worth it. SNT you fix up the back end as well and get the kinks ironed out I would get my wife's 02 done. If you do head out for a dune trip hit me up I would like to see that frame put to the test.
-
Yeah I know it's dirty sorry. I would look at moving the pegs to. The pegs on the outlaw go back almost 4" and down about 1''. Good luck man
-
Good hell man you probably have a good understanding of this but this has been talked about allot and I am pretty sure that's about as far it has gotten. I will take some pics of the rear sub frame and shock mounts for you tonight like I told you I would a while back. No offense I thought it was a pipe dream and had no idea you would get after it this quick.
-
We should be out there. We will have 3 shee's, 4 dirtbikes and a Orange 4 seater rail. Yeah no drag bikes for us either. Should be a good time.
-
Bad ass man. The conversions I have seen all have pipes that stick out a mile. I can't wait to see that thing with some plastics on it the pipes look like they will be fine right there. Good luck to you man. I think there is a market for you hopefully you can make some money with it. Hell if you get it down sign me up for one I can't stand riding my other shee with the stock frame.

Thanks man. I will post up some pics of the sub frame and rear shock mount if your interested. Might as well do it up right if your going to build a mx frame.
-
Sounds like a cool project good luck. Here is a pic of my outlaw. Are you looking at doing anything with the back end?

Ddq and Viffer I have fat people come into my gym everyday and tell me they want to lose 10 pounds when in real world they need and want to lose 50. On the flip side others say how fat they are when they are in great shape. My point is not many people really know what they want in a banshee or in life for that matter plus people tend to change their minds allot on what they really want. Sounds like he got it figured out your answers were great for what he asked I agree. All I was doing was giving him in my opinion the best option. I have been lucky to ride allot of different setups on quads and dirt bikes. Why not give more options? How many of us have done mods we regret and that waste money? You guys can say overkill. For me I will never waste my money on a shee frame again and I will help others try and avoid doing it as well. DDQ you probably are a great rider not here to say you aren’t but in my opinion you are wasting time and money trying to get your shee to handle on a mx track because you’re a remotely serious mx guy. Not trying to be a dick here. Seriously though add up how much money and time you have spent on different suspender setups. I would bet you’re getting close to a different frame that would kill any banshee setup you have had or will try. Cam has the right idea a 450 frame or getting an outlaw frame is the ticket for any serious banshee mx rider. I am thinking of doing another Outlaw frame 450 based Bobby at LSR said about 2,500. I bet if we could get the 5 or 10 people who check the mx forum out on here to do a group buy he might give us a better deal!
-
Wow DDQ I was giving him some advice if he even remotely thinks he wants to get more serious. I get how you think its off track but I wish someone told me not to spend allot of money on a poorly designed frame in the 90’s! I started with the same idea he has. It didn’t last long though who really goes to a track and wants to get smoked or be mediocre? I have personally wasted too much money on 4 different shee’s only to learn even with top notch suspension a shee is still a mediocre setup at best with a stock frame. You are more than welcome to come ride my quad anytime if you would like to see the difference it makes. It really is night and day! In the end he will do what he thinks is right why not give him all the info he can handle. Here is my opinion again spend 1,200 to 1,500 to get used stuff and have a decent handling shee. The best choice in my opinion save and build something that will make every 450 dirtbike and quad rider at the track, dunes, trails scratch their head and say how is he doing that on a shee.
-
Budget get used stuff for sure. Lots of decent used stuff out there, arms, shocks, axle or even offset wheels for the rear until you can bust the stock axle. Don't go offset on the front. My opinion don't waste your money if you are going to ride mx tracks. If you EVER want to be remotely serious get a 450 or a LSR 450 based frame we all waste money on the the poorly designed banshee frame. I have done it to stage three elkas and LSR a arms, durablue axle and a pep rear shock. Yeah the ride is tons better but it is like pissing in the wind compared to my LSR outlaw. You can get a LSR Yfz or honda based frame for 2500 buy used 450 parts and set it all up for your weight. Then take the only parts that are any good off the shee Motor, seat and plastics. I think you could build a pretty sick LSR shee now for pretty close to the cost of a new 450 if you shopped right. I did read his post just being honest sure a good rider can make up for the short comings somewhat on a motocross track but toss that same rider on a well built 450 or LSR framed shee and there will be no comparison regardless of how much is spent on suspension. At least that's how it has worked for me

Paid for the spindles tracking # came about an hour after payment! Great seller Thanks

I understand the litter and the off trail stuff but we are talking about dunes here not the rain forest. Do they close a interstate when people litter? Or knock every house over that looks like ass? You guys are right it sucks when a few bad eggs ruin shit but you could say the same thing for anything right now the world is full of special people. Does it mean we should close down riding area's hell no pack it in pack it clean your shit up. Nobody goes hiking in the dunes and vegetation come on. How many roads, homes, buildings etc do we build that completely fuckin wipe shit out? I signed it!

Man that is a sweet turbo setup you have! How much boost? What's it going in? Sounds like you are getting that shee pretty dialed in man good work. I have mine running real strong as well. Its been a big learning curve to get the injection to work right for me.

I want to learn everything about working on banshees!?
billybobby replied to jake644's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Amen to that. If sweet baby Jesus could get Yamaha to pull their heads out it would be a instant top seller. I would buy that quad! Build her the way you want. I have been told by others my quad is a waste of money by some. I love that I can rail through a set of whoops faster then allot of guys on dirt bikes hit big jumps and still smoke most 450's setup for drag racing on a -1 swinger Banshee. Study up and figure out exactly how you want it, go make a load of cash and build yourself a beast! -
Sick Ass Banshee on Ebay for sale (Somebody Buy This)
billybobby replied to Infamous039's topic in Online Auction Watch
I already have one and yeah the wife was not happy when I came home with it. That being said she got new couches, a bedroom set and a few other things right before I got it. She got over it! I spent a bit more than that on mine! I would never spend that much on a drag quad or hill shooter. I guess to each his own. The handles are every bit as good as a fully built mx 450 with an insane motor. What’s not to like? I am going to build another one with 450 based geometry. I felt good about what I paid. -

Pretty good deal for sure. I would still rather hook up with LSR and get them to build a YFZ or TRX 450 based frame. They told me 2,400 for the frame not bad imo. The problem with this quad is the parts the a arms are one off so expensive and most other parts are 250r so old and sometimes hard to get. That being said that bike is worth that much and then some. The combo of speed the shee motor is capable of and handling this LSR frame setup provides will make you never want to ride a stock framed shee again other then in a straight line. -
Best sand tires for front and rear
billybobby replied to Tdaz250's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I have 10 paddle haulers, 10 paddle edges and a set of sand skate2’s. It all depends on how you ride. I like and use the edges the most. I agree they are not as good for drags as haulers but they shine in corners and still climb good. We ride some long ass sand trails out here and the haulers don’t even come close to the Edges. The only time I use the Sand Skate2’s is if we are riding trails that have rock and dirt sections. They hold up well and still hook way better then dirt tires. -
Does anyone else think it's horse shit? They told me 2 weeks and 207.00 + shipping for my ten paddle edge's. I can buy new for 283.98 from rocky mountain and get them in two days for free. My haulers are torn up to damn sand hollow rocks.

Hey lets be real here god will have to help Vitor win. I will pray for him! Jones and Bader is tough should be fight of the night. Bones is a freak of nature dude is just a crazy athlete. Bader has power though should be a brawl either way I think both are title contenders. Forrest has looked terrible lately but I am not sold on Franklin in this one. He beat Chuck but to me if Chuck had a chin still he wins that fight he was up untill he got caught. Whats up with Gabe Ruediger? Wasn't he that fat ass on the Ultimate Fighter that ate shitty and couldn't make weight? Dana must like the guy I thought he foought someone on another under card and got destroyed. Hey thats an impressive dirt lip you got MJ! I wonder if Dana could make a weight class for you?

billybobby replied to dirtbike drew's topic in Banshee Appearance
Kawi stickers on a Yamaha is like a white guy wearing FUBU. It's just wrong. The green is fine if that's what you like but don't be a toolbag it's a Yamaha! -

Taking it down tomorrow! I am going to go with Pure Evil in Vegas. I am highly doubting this thing will be anywhere near 90 horse but I guess we will see. -
