Are you going to leave the pipes raw? Its looking good man!
-
Nice! So just pipes now! We will have to get out and ride once you get her together. I'm the only guy in my group who has a quad still. Dirt bikes, X3's and rzr's...
-
Never messed with the swing arm or linkage. It works really good as is! Have you figured out your a arms?
-
I bought 250r LSR long travel a arms. I realized pretty quick they were way off. I called Boby at LSR, they built me a set of outlaw specific long travel arms. I shipped my arms back to LSR and they swapped them out for me. I had just purchased the 250R arms though. They turned the arms out pretty quick too! Sorry man its going to be a minute before you can ride it. I busted my ribs and collarbone a few wks ago on my Dirt bike (4stroke). During my downtime the outlaw is getting freshened up. It's getting new nikasil, top end, clutch and pc. I'll do some digging and see if I have any close pics.
-
What pipes do you have right now? How did you find just a frame? I hope you got those A arms made for that bike... 250r arms don't work.
-
Really any of the banshee pipe builders can get you fixed up. Call them all and tell them your future motor plans. I used CPI cause he was closest to me, promised a quick turn around and built me a sweet custom pipe for my ESR yz345. My CPI's fit perfect and left plenty of room for filters. I tried a few different pipe combos the only ones that fit and cleared pods without mods were Trinity's. They are actually a solid pipe. I'd say they are right on par with Toomey's. Finding some Trinity's might be a good option if you're not looking for a 100hp and want to get riding. What kind of A arms are you running?

Not sure on the color code (it's been a while). How is your motor going to be setup? Be careful some parts need to be specific to the outlaw frame. Some 250r parts work and others will not. I'm interested to see how well Shearer gets everything to fit. What are you going to run for filters?
-
I haven't ran anything but fullbores. They fit good. Not sure on the words of wisdom but I've tried a lot of different things with mine... trial and error has been my outlaws story! I'll help out any way I can.
-
Nice start! Get your air filter setup the way you want it before you get pipes and silencers modded to fit. There is not a lot of room to fit pipes and air filters. I had CPI mod my setup... they fit perfect now!

I remember him having issues.... Hell I had issues to. I was pissed. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Chad making sure that the clearance issue was ironed out. They still sent me the wrong parts. That said I called them and they sent me the right stuff next day to my door. They walked me through the tuning process over the phone. Very simple process! Maybe I'm lucky! I have yet to see another banshee with as much power as mine run so damn good without tons of tuning needed at the slightest elevation or temp change. I have not opened my carbs up since I got them. I think Michael had some shitty luck. I think he tried the single carb setup and then last I heard was he thought the 36mm's were to big for his setup. I've seen plenty of stock cylinder banshee's without porting running to much carb.... I now have a 40mm on my ESR yz345 and have installed that same carb on my buddies nasty cr500 just to try it! Both bikes ripped.

I have ran PWK's, Mikuni's and had a custom EFI kit. So far for me the Smart Carbs have been the best overall setup by far.
-
Redline did an amazing job with my motor and Camatv built me a Trans that has held up to some serious abuse. I'm really happy with my setup.
-
10mill serval, redline porting and CPI's
-
Still impressed with these Carbs! It is right at about 60hrs on Smart Carbs now. I just did a fresh top end at 50hrs. It was good for another 20hrs pretty safely. I have ran it at sea level clear up 9500ft, dunes, tracks and trails..... very minimal and very easy adjustments! I just got back from Killpecker sand dunes which is about 3500ft higher then where I normally ride. The monster ran perfect with no adjustments. Smoked my buddies including a worked CR500! Going to work on getting more vids when we ride. Here's a couple.

They sell a stock Banshee replacement frame. Toss it and build the outlaw 450 in its place. Sounds like a solid plan to me. I can't imagine someone buying a stock frame over a 450 based outlaw frame.

Like right now right now? Or if LSR will actually do it? And only if they make a frame that will accept any 450 parts. Not just LSR. I made the calls already. If I call LSR back next week sometime and say hey I have a group of # ready with money IF you are willing to build a outlaw frame that uses yfz suspension components, gives us more room for pipe options and has a option for a functional airbox. Bobby already told me he is willing to do 3 of the original outlaw frames, which are pretty damn bad ass.

If people want a yfz450 or a homemade hybrid go do it! If you want LSR 450 based outlaw frame and CAN swing the funding NOW.... Let me know maybe we can make it happen!

Just a frame so far Ryan Trickedcarbine Trick2stroke Plus my 3 We may have to get LSR components initially? Sand king not sure about spindles and tie rods. The swingarm shouldn't be an issue. I run pods on my outlaw.

The combo of a 10mill serval in a chasis that is hooked on rails is tough to beat. The two I have committed both called me "fuckin quad monkey" now they want one!

Hell if 2 people from here give me a solid Yes. That's close to 30k for LSR. To make a few changes to a design they currently have and send out some other yfz parts they already have on the shelf. I wonder many Banshee owners have 10k plus into this $hobby$.

Spoke with Bobby this morning again... 5700.00 for 3-4 outlaw frames with A arms, swingarm and stem. Trick2stroke is running into why this needs to be 450 based or not an option. The current outlaw uses 250R geo but the components are NOT 250R. That doesn't leave us options outside of LSR if you break parts and need quick parts they won't be an off the shelf part. It's a Trx or yfz based frame or bust for me and my two buddies. Give me a solid Yes or No on 5700.00. I would like to go back to LSR and say 10 guys are in if we can make these changes yfz or trx 450r A arms, swing arm, more room for pipes and filters/airbox. Let me know...

I searched some old emails... almost 5yrs ago LSR said 2500.00 for a try or yfz based outlaw frame. I am wishing I would have jumped on that.

What's your issue with LSR? Everything I have had from them has been top notch stuff.
