  1. Just because the plugs look to be ok doesn't mean they are firing 100% under load. Toss in a couple new ones and try it, could be that simple.
  2. The long rod Wiseco 795 series pistons are great and since the rod sits higher up in the piston it makes it stronger. You'll need to have those jugs ported for the 4mil/long rod set up too. Before you do just make sure you are going with stoker domes and not a plate because it will make a difference on the porting. I would spend the $35 on a adjustable timing plate instead of the degree key. Those keys can shear leaving you stranded somewhere. I run +5 degrees on my 4mil and it's good to have some adjustment to play around with.
  3. Did this start all of a sudden or since the rebuild? Did it run ok at one point with the current jetting? Is the gas fresh and have you tried new plugs?
  4. Keep your spirits up Jamey, hopefully you'll be good as new soon.
  5. I just installed +2 +1s on the Shee and I'd like to upgrade the shocks. I need stock length and I ride trails and some MX. I'm 210lbs. If anyone has a set in decent shape please let me know. Thanks.
  6. Looks really good so far! Are you going to keep the stock brake lines?
  7. Didn't even try the YFZ shocks. I put them up on Ebay. Don't have new ones yet but I got time since I'm off the seat due to injury.
  8. Installed my new Wicked Products A Arms today. Super easy install and perfect fit. The welds look sweet and they have some big ass heavy duty ball joints. I decided to sell the YFZ shocks and go with something else. Never was too fond of putting 4poke parts on the Shee anyway.
  9. I'll let you know how they fit up as soon as I get them but I won't be able to ride for the rest of the year due to a knee injury. If you are dead set on getting arms to specificaly fit YFZ shocks then PM SMKMUPBANSHEE either here or on E2S. He has the connections to get them from Fireball.
  10. I decided to go with Wicked Products A Arms. The price was right and I have heard some good things about them. I don't know if I'm going to keep the YFZ shocks or not. I'll see how they fit first. Thanks for all the input!
  11. Sorry to here you can't ride anymore but at least you're still here to tell the tale. Good thing you had a helmet on.
  12. Top fuel cars are well designed to do 330mph, I believe the argument is can a car NOT designed to do it run 10s. As far as a NASCAR car is concerned it takes several laps on a superspeedway to get up to speed because of the high gearing. Basically it can take over 5 miles to get up to 200mph. So do you see my point about what that would do in 1/4?
  13. I have driven a Nextel Cup car and a Craftsman Truck but never a Indy car, however I will compare as best as possible. The Cup car was set up for a 1.5 mile track whereas the Truck was set up for a superspeedway. Both had some tall ass gears and were not capable of running a decent 1/4 mile. You have to slip the shit out of the clutch just to get them rolling or dump it and spin the tires wildly. You ever notice that the pit crew pushes them out of the spot? thats just to help along so the motor doesn't stall. All due to high gearing. I would assume that any car set up to go 200+ mph on a circle track will not run a 10s 1/4, only because of gear set up. I know this is not concrete evidence but only my observations but I hope it helps you win that case of beer!
  14. 20cc domes will give you more low end but it wont help your holeshot. It's definetly a tire spin issue like everyone said. Try starting in second, if you get the hang of it you might do better. If you do go with the 20cc domes check your altitude first. At sea level 20cc wil give you 169psi compression. This is borderline for running race fuel. I run them and I'm at sea level so it works fine for me with pump gas.
  15. I was thinking about the same thing but I heard that it's not a good set up for trails. Instead I went with 20cc domes, a better intake, +4 timing, and an alum airbox for more flow. I now have handfulls of low end over before and with the 20cc domes I can still run pump gas. At sea level it's 170psi any more and you gotta run race fuel.
