Comeon people make your picks. Comentary is cool but try making a few picks. This could get intresting

  2. how much did ya have to put in?, I heard it gets kinda heavy

My front and rear studded holeshots ran fine I dident need slime for a seal the studs dident go in like that. Plus slime scares me. Yes its sticky but if you put too much in it gets heavy and could posibly throw your tires off whack. Unless you put a very tiny amount in. If you done NEED it dont use it IMO.

  3. Hey all, ive searched and didnt turn nothing up,

Will boring my bike over .030 lower my compression? I have a coolhead, dont have the domes yet, i plan on running 20's, I know there are a TON of variables to the question, so my main question is will the oversize piston lower my compression alot?

    wade

If your just boring it 30000ths over and not opening up the ports it really shouldnt affect your compression at all. As long as your rings seal properly after your break in procedure you should be pretty high with 20cc domes. I have the Noss Head with 20s and Im kicking 150psi in each cylinder at 1089 feet above sea level. Im sure if I got a brand new top end I would be a considerable amount higher. As soon as I either install my timing plate or get my Dyna FS(Havent decided yet) I will probably be in the high 150s range so I will run 1 gallon of VP110 To 3 gallons of 93. Better safe than sorry.

  4. The dyna is very sensitive to "noise" and that is why it requires a resistor plug. I can't technically explain the process but kind of like unwanted alternator wine on a car stereo. The resistor plug sort of acts like a filter.

Hmmm. Thank you for trying to explaine but I still dont uderstand completly. If you ran a regular B8ES could it actualy mess up the dyna system? If thats the case screw selling my timing plate for a Dyna FS. I like the Idea of more spark. It may piss people off when you ride by there house and screw up their TV Signals lol. The Iridium plugs probably create less spark than any of them. Sure they last longer but who cares if your not getting enough spark.

That why my mechanic + this board is cool. He anwsers all of my questions in detail but I cant call him everytime I have a question so I come here ask the questions relay the information to him so Im sure my information is dead on. This board hasent failed me yet though. The information here is usualy about dead on. Therefore I can get the best out of my bike first and foremost and relay the information to my riding buddies or my internet buddies. Kicks ass

  5. Pro Design timing Plate. Advance or retard your timing -10 all the way to +10. Brand new still in its original packaging.

    95.00 shipped

Price tag on this item is 99.95 straight from Pro Design.

Im giving this item 2 weeks. If noone wants it Ill either put it as a buy it now on ebay or I will throw it in the Banshee.

  6. I dont mind working on it one bit in the garage, its on the trail that i dont want to be working. I rebuild blaster motors as a side job so mechanical stuff isnt an issue.

    Keep them coming

Well if you work on Blasters then you should know how two strokes preform. The Banshee is as reliable as you make it to be. Fresh premix, fresh tranny/clutch oil, replace anything stock that is known to go bad IE Water pump Impeller. Keep all of the bolts tight keep it clean espically if you ride in mud. Grease the fittings when necassary. If your worried about MPG dont get a bigger port job. Do compression tests regularly make sure its jetted properly alwyas. Plug chops when the temp strats to drop/rise. They ARE more matinance than 4 strokes but if you mantain them you wont have any problems. As far as rebuilds go yes 2 stroke anything needs rebuilt twice as much as 4 strokes but 4 strokes cost twice as much to rebuild. Plain and simple.

  7. Thanks Guys for the info. I do find that I can pick the front end up rather easy. So maybe that will have to be a winter project.

If the only mods you have are the ones listed in your sig there is no need for a + swinger. If I dident do so many hillshoots I would get a -2 swingarm for better traction and corner handeling.

  8. You do have a clymers manual? rite? If not you best pick one up. Its covered in detail with pics. And yes you will need tranny oil anyway. It usualy comes in 1qt so youll need 2 bottles. Only use 1.5 1.6 quarts though. Useing 2 quarts like alot of people do is not good. It builds up to much pressure and it doesnt flow as well. The stuff Im buying comes in like 1.25 quarts so its weird but with the yamalube stuff I would buy 3 bottles and have 2 oil changes that way.
