Thanks for all of the responces guys. I called Laeger myself a while ago, and the guy I talked too said they only make the +2. I should of got Cody to look into it more for me but thats ok. I went with the Black LSR +2+1 (Incase I decide to powdercoat everything and Cody told me if I scratch them some black spraypaint is an easy way to touch them up :biggrin: ) . The main diffrence is Lonestar, nickles and dimes you for bushings. Laegers Bushings seem to hold up some better. I believe for the 16 bushings in the LSR A Arms run around 85-95 dollars. Also they do make +2+1 A Arms for alot of other quads. Buchanan runs +2 JB Racing A Arms on his beefed up 416ex. He said he dident feel the need for +1 forward. He never, ever, practices, hes too busy building other peoples bikes and he places in atleast the top 6 overall in the pro class GNCC series every year. I guess the Banshee just benifits from the +1 more than alot of other racers. Check out these JB Racing A Arms they are so beefy. They are made of the same stuff as Laeger, but they are just alot beefier and stronger. I was going to go with them definatly but They dont make them for the Banshee. they do make them for the new 450s and other sport quads

Next month I will get Buchanan to order my front and rear Elka Elites w/ the new linkage.( I will just owe him 800 or so for march and I will try to save 1200 for my scotts steering stabilizer) (Then Flexxx bars and Razr 2s all around on .190 rims mabey beadlocks for the rears) (Then IMS Foot pegs) I will have it all (Arms/Sus) on my Banshee by feb.20th in my estimation. I cant wait.
Then I will buy a frame,Gas tank,Radiator,Axle,swingarm (For under 1000) this summer so I have a complete rolling chassie for my Cheetah cub build in 08 :thumbsup:

2Gs for a 4mil big bore motor with lockup, carbs, and inframe pipes is worth it but like stated above how many hours is on the motor? Does it need any work? You can get a nice running piped Banshee with reeds a head and port work for a little over 2gs though too.

Mods and bling factor alone that duncan bike is worth the 1300 extra. You will have to put some stuff into it for a dune machine but you can take the parts off of that Duncan bike and break even or even make a profit. Just make sure to get the recipts for everything. Also see how many bores are left in the cylinders.
Your Crank is already trued and welded witch is a huge plus! You could sell that for a couple hundred and get a stroker crank and a dune port for about a grand or so. You already have the coolhead intakes and carbs. Less if your going to sell parts off of it. Frame Tires Air Box/Filter ect.
Paul Turner triple chrome plated pipes with Fat Boy 2 Silencers- New they are around 900 w/ the tripple plate showroom chrome. If they are in really good shape you can sell them and get brand new or close to new (Chrome) T5s, CPIS, Shearers, GRR, Rockets ect for duning/drag
Remove that air box if your going to be duning. Ill buy it.
Sell the old Chassie. Ill buy it
Roll Design front Gullwing extended A-arms powder coated blue- If they are +2 sell them and buy quicksand +3s and pretty much break even
Roll Design Swing arm powder coated blue -1 - Roll Design makes top notch products so you could probably sell it and get a +4-8 Ebay swingarm and break even
Plus you have the shocks already on there so that will save you alot of $$$$
You can always switch out the smaller domes in there now for 21cc or 22cc for 70 dollars and run 93 pump gas
Also includes 2 front and 2 rear ITP Hole Shot knobby tires on blue anodized rims- Ill buy them!

according to the printout in the box with the dyna, NONE of the preprogrammed are less advance than the stock baseline, for a banshee anywho.
I ran curve 3 (most advanced) and 8 degrees on my plate, giving me about 30 total degrees at the most advanced point.... Cub motors love timing..period.
Holy Jesus Dave! You werent kidding when you told me my old mans Drag car buddies would shit if they knew how much timing you were running. I talked to one of my Dads buddies. Hes like 62 and his Ford Fairlane that he built runs 9s. He told me Im crazy if I go anywhere over +4. I figured you were running like +9 at the most. WOW! Your gonna have a beast with your new setup. Please let us all know as much as you can, every little detail and specification you can.

Go for the LT250R No doubt about it. I had one for over 10 years and they handle great, Theyre light, they fly in the air better than most quads, They are fast as all hell on the tracks, and they have heaps more power than the 300ex. The frames are definatly more suitable for a conversion too. My buddie bought a brand new 300ex (I still have no clue why he did that) But we used to race in all conditions and I would smoke him in every condition. Drags were a joke. If we swaped bikes he would smoke me it would be closer but Im a much better rider than he is on quads. You cant go wrong with the LT250R and it probably already has a pipe and reeds on it. Get it ported and you will be beating piped Banshees!

Also what is the biggest benifit of your +4 axle? I can see it 2 ways 1. being more stable and taking less stress off of the front end 2. being to bulky and hurting cornering and whoops

I think most companies just make the a-arms and don't think about what the banshee really needs. I don't even know if they offer +1" forward for any other bike than the banshee and blaster.
Huh, now that you mention it I cant recall riding any racers with +2+1 it was always +2 and Ive never rode a Banshee with +1 forward. I dont think I did anyways. Someone did mention with the shorter swingarm it is a good Idea to go +1 on the front other than that you really dont need it. I really gotta do my research on this one. Cody Buchanan will be the deciding factor in my purchase due to his expirence with all of the bikes hes rode/raced and built. But Im open for suguestions.

yeah, I wouldn't evenn consider buying +2s after riding with +2+1's. you won't regret them. They make it a whole new bike. then add a -2 swinger and you have a whole new bike again
Thanks for the responces Hollister and 2005SE. Im definatly not going to overlook the +1 forward. I wonder why cirten big name A Arm fabricators only make the +2... As for shortening the swingarm I need stock. I would love to shorten it -1 or -2 but the long, long, super steep, rocky, rutted, hills I climb wouldnt like that at all :biggrin: Other than that Ide do it in a second.

Yeah Cody just told me about it. I dident get a price on it yet though but it cant be more than a couple hundred. Im definatly getting the Elka Elites all around too with that linkage but it will probably take me another month or two of saving but I might be able to swing the scotts steering stabilizer too :biggrin:. Now Im just wondering if I should get +2+1 or should I be cool with the +2 Laegers? Hmmmmm. It took me so long to save all of this money I want to be sure I have the best components avalible!

Well hes retired in NC now. Truthfully Im looking forward to having Russ Grimm as headcoach instead of Wiz. Grim is a defencive coach and thats Steelers football and we dont have to worry about a head coach sinking all the money into the offence. We have a good QB who has proven he can move the ball down the field. I have big hopes for next year :thumbsup:

You gotta read brotha read! I drank new years eve from about 9:30 till 2:30 nonstop. I was hungover to the point where I couldent move from 9am till 9pm new years day. God Im so glad its over you just dont know. Never again. Im sure I will tie one on here and there like I do a few times a month but nothing that extreme ever ever again. No more 151 either. There is absolutly no need for something that strong. Thats just stupid to put your body through something like that.
Who sings only when Im drunk? Im sure you can find it on youtube. I found like 3 artists with that title.

Yeah I hear ya. I dont even know why bars carry that shit. Its way more than what you need to get drunk. I would never buy a shot of 151. I dont care if I had 20 bucks and Im lookin for effect. Thats some miserable shit rite there. I just called my buddie who I was with, hes at work Im gonna wait to talk to him to find out what else I did. I dont remember anyones reaction to the shit I did. It cant be that bad I dident harm anyone but I was acting a little crazy :biggrin:

I used to swear by holeshots my entire life, they hook up like mad but they just dont last long at all. They are a little softer than the Razrs but no where near as meaty as the razr 2s. Those Razr2s hook up almost as well and they last 5x longer than holeshot anything.

new years day from 9am alllllll the way to 9pm I was so intencely hungover the thought of going to the hospital crossed my mind but I was imobilized. I could barley make it to the bucket no way could I stand up to go the the toilet.(sorry for the details) Ive never been so hungover in all of my life. I will never touch 151 ever again. I think all of it came from mixing so much alchoal in such a short period of time and not being able to hold down any fluids the next day. Yager, tellmore due, jack, whatever else people were feeding me (151 I know that) and yuenglings and a few guinness stoughts. Ive learned a valuble lesson. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Word! Im still working on rehydrating myself.

I though haaaa Im in, so my buddie walk up with a big glass of whiskey I figured cool some Jack I downed it it was 151!!!!!! I pretty much spit on her the drunk hit me. BOOOOOOOOOOOM I was intoxicated. Ive been loosing weight (this is embarassing but when it happend I was cool with it I went with it) I kept having to pull me pants up well me and her (dont remember her name) were playing darts Im missing the board and shit. Jesus. My pants fell around my ankles. I throw both of my hands in the air screaming YEAHHHHHHH YEAH BABY 07 ohhhhhhhh7! More shit happened that night I cant really remember too much after that! HAPPY NEW YEARS :biggrin:

the big reason i am considering a shee price size and power. around here i can get a verry nice one for under 3000. i need good power (my snowmobile is piped zr 800 145 hp 108 ft lbs of tq) my main cocearn is the power band and how hard it hits compared to my 250r.
Unless your 250r was modded out the ying yang the power will RIP Way harder than any piped/reed 250R. Plus you can make the Banshee as fast as your arms can hold in there sockets! 4 Strokes are trail terittory but you can always mod a Banshee to hang with them as far as handleing goes and its a twin 2 stroke so no worry about power. I ride in woods and Harescrambles and I wouldent trade my Banshee for any bike out there but I do have to invest some serious cash so I can hang with the YFZs and 450rs in the trails.

Sure did, I seen a sheet for myself and Ive heard a few people say how they dont understand how he never rides and places so high in races. Cody Buchanan 6th overall. I think one of his races were in Rausch Creek last season and he raced in Ohio. I know because I went to his shop and someone came out and said he was in a GNCC Run in Ohio. That was one of the last races of last season, if not the last.
