  1. No way should a 17t front sprocket "run" out too quick. Your main sounds about right. Maybe try a 158 or a 152 to see if that does anything. I'm not sure timing is your answer but run it at +6 or +7 to see what it does.
  2. What is your jetting, mains, pilots, needle type and clip position. We have almost identical motors so I can get you pretty close. Elevation?
  3. Tuning is not really that hard. Someone on here can get you in the ballpark and then help you out with it.
  4. Yes that jetting is way too high for no porting. I'm not sure what hte main should be with just pipes and no porting but I'd say a 25 pilot and somethin like 250 main?
  5. It probably needs to be tuned. With what you have, and that gearing it should pull very hard.
  6. Who cut the override and how much for it? Also how much for the pods?
  7. Try a smaller pilot jet, 27.5 or a stock 25. Since the jets are that big I'd guess it's ported, but I ran 25 pilots with my stock carbs ported.
  8. Do you have any porting done? Usually with what all you have and some porting bigger carbs will help. I've never put bigger carbs on a mostly stock bike to see what it'd do. I've always had fairly good luck with stock carbs on my stock bikes. If you do decide you want to go bigger I've got some 34pj's that ran great for me for sale.
  9. What kind of riding are you doing with it?

Let me know what ya got. Looking for oval crush-tube style. Non-pc'd would be best, no chrome either unless it's crappy and I can blast it.
  11. Well to offer some not-so-technical advice, I have ridden my 421 cub everywhere. It's been on trails, dunes, dragstrip, riverbeds, you name it. I'm running shearers and 35pwk's now but haven't had much ride time on the 35's, still trying to tune them in. I've rode it with T-5's and 34pj's with 13/42 gearing and it ripped. Was it tuned down? Yeah. Do I feel alot more power with the Shearers, yeah. It has lost a little down low but with the 13/42 gearing I gained some of that back. I recently switched to 14/41 gearing and haven't gotten to ride it hard because of some WOT bog issues but it definitely feels like it pulls higher and harder. I'm still not convinced on the gearing though because I can't launch in 2nd now which I love to do. Might go back to a 13 front and leave the 41 rear or maybe a 40 rear. I'll just have to play with it some to get exactly what I like. Hope this helps ya. If I were you. Do your clean-up ports. Put on whatever setup you have and ride the damn thing. When you can get some mid-top end pipes throw 'em on.
  12. Damn good price, location? Got any feedback anywhere else?
  13. I hate to be a stickler, but you got 4 bikes in your sig, and you're asking these questions
  14. I wasn't bashing either, he makes a pipe that runs awesome, but aesthetics-wise sometimes his product is shit.
  15. Lol no pj's are not junk. PWK's are a newer design so supposedly "better" but there are a ton of people running the PJ's on not only gas but alky.
  16. So really it's not that you didn't like them or how they performed at all, it's just the reed wasn't installed properly possibly lol. Not doggin on ya but that's hardly a comparison when one product is broke and the other is fine.......
  17. I got some 34pj's for ya that are perfect. Just the carbs. Got a few jets so could get close to what you need. Not sure on a price I paid $200 for 'em and had to put new choke valves in 'em.
  18. He went through a rough patch with his chrome I know, his show chrome look like someone pissed out some chrome spray paint and that was it. I've got a set now that is good show chrome, but has fuckin holes in some of the welds...if you got the big bucks and are a big name I'm pretty sure he takes care of you well. Granted he is just one guy doin the work as far as I know.
  19. You might wanna not list stock cylinders as a Cheetah Cub. Or put on there somewhere that it is absolutely not a Cub but stock cylinders.
  20. Yeah somethin like the last one you posted is better. The one on the top of this page the HQ part isn't big enough IMO. Or the sponsors should be made smaller, but I like the whole idea of having the sponsors.
  21. It's so obvious how young you are LOL. Take a week or so, read some books, then come back.
  22. I have ran that setup before, ran great. My jetting was a little off so I was missing out on some of the mid-range but if jetted properly it'll run great all through the RPMs.
  23. Damn i've completely rebuilt mine with everything PC'd or painted and new 4mil cub motor for less than 6,000 probably. You should start shopping cheaper mayn lol
  24. I'm not sure wtf you spent 18,000 dollars on though?
