  1. I'm still not sure if our group is going. Will update when I find out.
  2. I run 155 main, 48 pilot, CEL needle on the middle clip. This is at 1000 ft. of elevation and hot riding temps. Same motor and carbs.
  3. There is a bearing at the bottom. It is underneath the flange the steering stem goes into. Shown here: http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/showschematic/m6962sch107385
  4. Agreed. I went 4.60 on a 421 cub with stock tranny. Didn't miss a shift all weekend, but I'm going override just for ease, and they're badass to ride.
  5. Drag bike without an override is pointless IMO. If they are truly going to be drag bikes, an override is almost necessary to get smooth consistent shifts.
  6. I've seen both ran, haven't had any problems with either.
  7. What ya lookin' for? I'd be interested in NBA or Madden
  8. Some builders porting runs better on the 421 as others with the big bore, some use the small bore. I'm not really sure what the cutoff point is to go from small bore to big bore though. If you have someone porting them ask them.
  9. Well I'm a little guy, and enjoy the easy pull of having the lock-out and stock springs.
  10. As for holding 100 HP, the clutch would have such a hard pull with springs stiff enough to really hold that it would be unrideable I would think. Do you have the option of running a lock-out?
  11. You obviously don't realize how awesome nikasil is. One of my pistons looks like it ate some sand, but the nikasil is still fine in that area, except for the 3 years of run-time it has on it. So saying nikasil is something to worry about is a hugely misleading statement.
  12. Chances are you don't have the correct hone to do this too. Just fyi, nikasil is right under diamonds on a hardness scale.
  13. There is no 35mm PJ. It's either a 34PJ or 35PWK if it's Keihin, just fyi.
  14. RDZ's stock cylinders are running in the 3's? That's not fast enough?
  15. Yes but usually big bore and big stroke wants big pipes. I'm not saying it can't be done, just could have probably been done for cheaper on a stock set of cylinders. It's a cool setup nonetheless
  16. Ya I know, I guess what I was trying to say is maybe a cheetah is not what he needs for what he wants out of a motor.
  17. Possibly a cheetah is not for you then? Even with the powervalves it is still a hard-hitting top-end bike, just with alot more pull down in the mid-range. Those pipes have to be choking it back alot. Basically like leaving stock exhaust on a weekend drag car.
  18. Yeah I know that, just depends on how much more adjustment he needs.
  19. I don't remember how much I removed, but try removing more and see if that helps. Can you not adjust it some from the top of the carb to get it close then fine tune with the screw?
  20. With a .120 dump a .110 main sounds really small. I'm not up much on the alky tuning but I would think a .115 or .118 main would be closer to correct.
  21. Do you have the dyno sheets to post? What was the max RPM it hit? Only thing i see holding it back is the pipes.
