  1. I ran 13/42 for awhile b/c it was on teh bike with my old stock cylinders. I thought it was fast. Went to 14/41 and it pulls wayyy harder now. Might try a 15/42 or 15/43 combo soon, just have to see what it likes at the track to cross the trap at the top of 5th.
  2. How deep is it? About the depth of the little pin on the outer bearing race I would assume. It could probably be filled in with some epoxy, or weld it up then smooth it back out to the radius of the bearing.
  3. Yeah, I thought he had gotten the Extreme's working? I've read more and more recently it sounds like he scrapped the idea.
  4. Can you manually move the clutch actuator arm on top of the cases? I'm guessing not. Did you put the rod/ball back in properly?
  5. I got a trinity timing plate somewhere if you don't get the other one. $45 shipped to ya.
  6. Got a stock tranny. I don't know if there's something different about this transmission or I just had it set up perfect but it would shift perfectly on my 4mil cub. I went a whole weekend at the races and didn't miss 1 shift, stilll using the clutch obviously. Put up a few pics, and the only blemish on it is on the drum there is a small rough spot on one of the valleys, maybe it is why it shifted so good I'm sure it could be smoothed out easily with some sandpaper. Asking $120 shipped.
  7. I agree on something to smooth out some of the ruts, just so we don't run out of spots to race when they get all trashed.
  8. Any idea on a price? I was gonna say it'd be difficult to do since i run a totally different setup at the track. But if it's a run your dune setup type of thing it'd be fun.
  9. I would imagine it'd still turn into some kind of drama. "I beat you on the track" "I beat you on teh dunes". at the dramas
  10. For a 686 this motor runs awesome and makes a good dune bike.
  11. Well hell, I was thinking just in general. But most likely an OOF setup, 4mm DM or so.
  12. Damn. Does KP seem that big? LS used to feel big, but now that I know where everything is it's not that big. Don't get me wrong it's still a damn blast and I'm glad it's only 3 hours away.
  13. But the dyno runs have shown that the Shearers make more usable power than the T-5's. Granted not EVERY setup has been tested, but so far the so called "drag pipes" are out performing the mid-top end pipes.
  14. What's the turn-around time on a set of custom pipes?
  15. Sounds like a good setup. I'd suggest some 33pwk's or 34pj carbs. And then work on your suspension setup some.
  16. I'm actually gonna have a job this time around, but shouldn't be too hard to get off for that.
  17. Woah, don't bring your logic into this HP thread
  18. I'd trade my Cheetah for this
  19. I wasn't pointing any fingers towards anyone, sorry if it came off that way. That's just usually how this kind of thing will go. "I switched pipes to the snipers and picked up 5-tenths at my local track" Seems like all the preliminary testing and R&D numbers are showing to be positive though
  20. I'm with Dave on this one. I could give 2 shits what Joe blow can do at his local swamp track with these pipes. If you pick up 2 tenths from a pipe change, you weren't tuned properly in the first place IMO or just made a better run. I want to see builders use these, test 'em, and get some numbers out. But I'll finally be graduating and getting a job, so $700 doesn't sound so bad anymore
