I'm from Las Vegas & have raced our quad numerous times at Kingman. I'm familiar with the altitude/weather tuning. This is some good advice coming from someone who knows. I would start with JWR recommendation in the above quote. 380 is way too much main & I bet you will end up around a 300. Your Trinity head is fine for that motor & works very well on other's also. You have it, so use it. IMO I would find out what CC domes you have. We ran that head on a 7mm gas cub & it would run circles around 95% or more of the people bashing on Trinity products.

There's a few other's that do the same shit. LOL!

Our fastest times on non oxygenated race fuel for both 300' & asphalt. Using bored 39 pwks, with 47 pilots, DGH in middle position & 182 mains. That was a 443cc cub at 300' ASL and around 80 degrees. Roll the dice, they all need different carb tunes. It's what works best for you, without burning up motors.

I understand that, I'm not going to be to judgmental with his 4.0. LOL! If he's happy with his bike that's all that really matters. If he wants the real times, he will take it to the track. That will probably never happen, because the truth will bust his little bubble he's living in.

Maybe the OP could explain the time lapse program.

I went thru a few time slips & here's a few examples; 1st two are opponents bikes, last one is one of our DMXs 1st runs: 60' 1.678, ET 4.066 60' 1.718, ET 4.318 60' 1.791, ET 4.502

Depends on the motor size, the bigger motors can make it up down track.

I've stated it a few times, on this DMX. I will provide the results good or bad. Seems like most of it has been bad. Go figure, I would of thought going to a 200cc bigger motor & a 40 lb. lighter rigid chassis. Would get us better times than our old set-up, the 1st time or 2nd time out with it. Well, the broken crank did tell us something. While it was tore down, I Iooked at the bottom of the pistons. They looked new, that along with our plug readings. The motor was building no heat. I guess you can put to much Alky thru a motor & kill power. We were hoping to get all of this figured out on the dyno, but that plan changed. We hope with the new stator & ignition. Plus, leaning the motor out we get some better results next time out. We plan on leaving the clutch set-up alone, because we think that's close. I'm sure all of this will probably change, like it has so far. We are finding out this bigger motor is a set-up/tuning challenge. We were spoiled with our old set-up, but we'll get this DMX figured out.

That's what it is. Nothing more, Nothing less! Now if you all don't like it, you can ATD yourselves. I didn't bite on this thread. I started it & the AssClowns bit on it, but anyway. Them darn videos are a pain. I may or may not do another one. They have an upgraded monthly fee deal, but I'm not going to do that. I thought about it, because you can do a lot more than the basic cartoons.

The motor is not going to make it to the Dyno. K&T had to put in sound deadener in because of noise complaints. It might be done next week, but I go back to work the end of next week. So, no dyno for the motor anytime soon. The plan has changed. Dome Valley, AZ. is having a T&T June 22 we are going there to test. We have a brand new OEM stator & new OEM ignition we are putting in for the event. Then we plan on racing in Kingman AZ. July 5 & 6.
