  1. Did he, coming from a Keyboard Zero doesn't hold much stock. I'm sure that K&T Dyno motor has been faster on the track than anything Captain Zero has. That's even with this old man riding it.

  6. Thought I would try to start a positive thread here. You mentioned something about your involvement in Ice Racing this winter. Maybe you could give us brief rundown on your plan, like: what type of ice racing (drag, oval or other), what type of motor, frame, schedule & rider just to name a few. I know trickedcarbine ice races (MI. area) & I've taken an interest in his set-up. Lets here what you have to say.
  7. Wow, now I know why you are the head idiot. If he's so great, you need to switch from Redline to GRR. He certainly is not cornering the BHQ Sponsor Market. If he was, I'm sure the other sponsors would follow his lead. Seems like the majority of Sponsors help out the BHQ member's with technical advice. I haven't seen that from O.G., he's more worried about trying to line his pockets.

  11. When we 1st started running asphalt we ran 35 PWKs & they had custom needles. We switched to race gas & to 39/41 PWKs with a DGH needle. When we built the 643cc DMX we converted our 41s to Alky we use the DGH needle, dumps drilled .120, 55 pilots & power jet discharge tubes drilled. Cant's remember the size somewhere around .100. This set-up was only tested on asphalt at the airport for around 400', but has been tested at 300' sand. The bowls are the Boss ones & are the largest I know of. What size PWKs?
  12. If everything is modified right & the tune-up is sound. You don't need the pump. We started with a pump on our 1/4 mile 443cc quad & weaned our self off the pump when we had the experience. 1/4 mile & the hillshooting put the greatest demands for fuel delivery.
  13. We decided to put the 535 Cheetah in & convert it over to race gas. The plan is to get it all done & tested on the weekend of Dec. 20th. The hold up might be the trans, it has a 1-5 in it now & that will not cut it in the 1/4 mile. We have a shift fork eating, 10 run max., piece of shit WCR 1-6 we are going to convert over to a 1-4 manual 5 & 6 trans.

  16. We don't know if the trueness was a problem to start with or it happen during use. When Nick & Green brought up issues with the plate, I wanted it checked. Now it has to be corrected. This is not directed at you M. This is the last drill with the stock cases, because Angel wants it that way. He agrees with me if it doesn't work it will get Billet Cases!

  19. Seeing a couple people brought up some good points about the adapter plate. I asked Angel to check to see if it was flat. Looks like it's going to need be cut about .020 Not going to worry about the change in timing, but have to cut the new domes for the change. Looks like it will be Jan. for the trip to Shearer's. Then hopefully have it ready for BAKO sand drags in Feb.

  21. LOL! That's a sore subject & has a short story. The last time we went out to run it, must have been around 2008. We brought out 2 cars. They charged us like $100 gate fee per car. Then got to the event trailer & was charging a good amount (can't remember) class registration. I told the lady this is ridiculous. I explained the gate fee & 2 cars. She said "I'll spot you the class fees until tomorrow" LOL! I showed her I had money for the 2 classes. I said that's not the point, I'm not going to get gouged! My son stayed & ran. I took my money & grouchy ass home. Neither one of us has been back since. Why do you ask?

  23. Yes, unexpected days off brings the best out of me. I didn't totally waste my day on here. Got things ready for the wrecked frame rebuild & the 535. The race care got unloaded for off season upgrades & maintenance.
