  1. No problem just trying to save some frustration later down the road.
  2. Yep no check valve or those stuby vents that you can put on the cap. They don't flow air very good. Gut the stock cap (take the ball bearings out) and drill the air passages out. Then use a hose for a vent. I recomend using Tygon fuel tubing. I ran a long one that hangs down a little below the frame. That way fuel and oil won't drip on the exhaust pipes or down the side of the fuel tank and tank cover.
  3. You DO NOT want to run the 80W-90. It is a hypoid gear oil. It is ment to be used in differentials, not transmissions. It would be to thick and could cause your clutch to slip. Some gear oils have a friction modifire added for posi track or limited slip diffs. The stuff you want is like the stuff your uncle found. It will be just straight 75W, 80W, or 85W. It will say on the back of the bottle that it is for 2 stroke transmissions.
  4. Yea vp makes a U2 oxygenated fuel specificaly for 2 strokes. Or maybe the air port quit selling av gas to people without planes due to the fact that there is little to no tax. The air port is going to get in trouble if some one puts av gas in there car and runs it down the street. Just like running off road diesel (red) in your pickup.
  5. I dont know how well they will work since there is oil in the exhaust. I would think that it would foul the oxygen sensor pretty quickly.
  6. Cascade Heat wrap on the LH stinger tube and let it rest on it. The RH side doesnt need one. I run the 10 deg angled filters on my PWK's and Boss intake. The 20's were to much
  7. Does it still crank over? Try unpluging the voltage regulator and try starting it. If it starts the stator is going out.
  8. The same goes for the vapor. You need to run resistor plugs or you will have all kinds of problems with interfearance.
  9. A max load can be run on both sides. It looks like a standard ball bearing only it has more ball bearings. It could also be made out of a better quality steel or heat treated though.
  10. When I got my carbs I bought everything from jeff at fast. He was the cheapest. He will have everything you need. Intake, filters, jets, needles, ez pull slide springs, carb sync. What modds do you have done. 150-160 mains 45-48 pilots CEL needles
  11. For an intake get one that is billit aluminum with a built in crossover tube. They are thick and have a different angel. That way it moves the carbs up and back so the left carb bowl doesn't hit on the clutch arm. I run a boss intake with 10 deg angled pod filers with my pwk33's.
  12. Why did you install the temp sensor in the lower radiator hose. The temp of the coolant coming out of the radiator doenst really matter. You want to know the temp of the coolant coming out of the engine so you know how hot it is running.
  13. I believe they come with cgl's and most people swap them out for cel's. The cel is a shorter needle with the same taper and straight diameter. The shorter needle is a richer needle. I would try those in the middle clip.
  14. What needles are you running? I wouldn't use rtv or high temp sealer on the intake or reeds. Gasoline breaks it down. If you need to use a sealer then use yamabond, threebond, moto seal, or any other sealer designed for engine cases. My boss intake with built in crossover leaked a little between the rubber flanges and aluminum. I never had a running issue, but sealed it up when I found it doing a leak down test. I sealed it up with yamabond.
  15. Yea if you just need the clip then you should be good to go. Just make sure you have it pointing the right direction. That way as the chain is going over the guids and through the rear guid it doesnt pop it off.
  16. I think he is trying to buy some riding buddies, not sell his bike.
  17. I have them all around on my raptor. I like them as well. They are a knock off of the Maxxis I razr tire but cost half as much. Like anything the farter the lugs are spaced the less life the tire will have. The farther the lugs are the more agressive they are. Mud Tires on pickups dont last as long as street tires, but what works better off road?
  18. I think I would swap out those T5's for a pair of CPI or Shearers before I would run alky with T5's. The thing with keihins is you have to drill the dump tube / passage that the needle goes through the carb body. The passage is non replacable. So if some one drilled the tubes to big for your setup your left with some one elses junk. If I was going to run alky keihins they would be PWK's and I would have them convered buy the builder that ported the engine. ever figure out what the knocking noise was? josh
  19. Yea that is why I wouldnt get an RM stator. They look just like RS. I would consider running a Rick's Motorsport Electric's stator. They have a green expoxy covering over the coils to helpe insulate them. Kind of like how the OEM Yamaha ones have the grey coating. josh
  20. Put as much pressure on the puller as you can without stripping the threads. Then smack the small bolt (center of the puller) with a 3lb hammer. Some times the impact or shock will brake them loose.
  21. Yea when atv's and mc's are jumping the dunes there is some one sitting on the top letting them know when it is clear to jump. When was the last time you seen a rail do that. They just jump blind and who cares about whats on the other side. It is like anything. The more $$$$ you have the less common since you have, and the farther away from reality you are. :shoothead:
  22. Hot Rods Long Rod 4mill stroker crank is the only way to go. The longer conecting rod makes for less rod angle wich puts less side load on the piston skirts. The vito's crank that uses standard pistons has a sort or regular rod. I would go with a long rod for reliability reasons. Ethier way you have to run a spacer plate or stroker domes in a cool head.
  23. Yea the sand stars are a great tire for duning. When you said that your doing a 300ft drag strip then the straight blade hauler cannot be beat. They dont turn as good as the v paddles. Best V Paddle for Duning = ITP Sand Star Best Striaght Blade for Dragging = Skat Trak Hauler
  24. I am no sand paddle expert, but I would say an 8 blade hauler.
