  1. After owning a pair of a arms that have hiem joints I wont ever own another set. Ball Joints all the way.
  2. It sounds like you have it right. Maybe you fliped the aluminum pice around wrong. In kev's pic you see the end that sticks out of the pressure plate has 2 machined flat spots so you can hold it with a wrench while you thighen the nut. Is that end sticking out?
  3. Not much same old same old. The banshee is a little faster now.
  4. They are EBC RD Precision Main Jets http://www.powerpacequipment.com/eshopprod_cat_6246-27040_prodtree_370-282-286_product_882465.EBC_BRAKES_RD_PRECISION_MAIN_J.htm Here is a pic of mikuni small round main jet. It has the Box with in a box. That is mikuni's trademark. I doubt yamaha sends the banshee out of the factory with genuine Mikuni carbs and Knock off jets.
  5. The best way is to just upload them to www.photobucket.com then copy and past the Image tag.
  6. What mods do you have done now. Your probaby better off getting a cool head and bumping up the compression, and a timing plate and advancing it to +4. Reeds dont had a huge amount of power. They are more noticed as increasing throttle responce.
  7. From what I see looks to be a trail / clean up port job.
  8. Where the hell have you been? I figured your username had been given up and a newbee registered it.
  9. Oakley Crow Bar MX Pro frames with Black IRIDIUM lenses They have a nice tripple layer foam with fleece. http://www.motosport.com/atv/product/OAKLEY-CROWBAR-MX-PRO-FRAME-GOGGLES/?catalogId=105027
  10. Or you have a blown head gasket or bad o ring.
  11. never be left in the dark again. Urban Dictionary. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dick%20inches
  12. I am not for sure what ratio most people use. Most that I have seen dont go any leaner than 32:1. Some have mentioned running 20:1. You will also need to purge the engine and carbs after your done running methanol. You just run race fuel with the same oil that your running in the methanol. That way you dont have any methanol left sitting in the carbs and engine. Methanol draws moisture out of the air wich can cause rust or crosion inside the engine and carbs.
  13. Yea you have to run an oil that is compatable with methanol. Most oils are not. If you mix the wrong type it is like mixing oil and water. Klotz Supertechniplate (80% synthetic techniplate oil 20% benol caster oil) Klotz Benol Caster Oil (100% Caster oil) Maxima 927 Caster Oil
  14. It will be a pretty big jump in power. Porting is a huge hp gain. I have a fast dune ported 4 mill and it is a blast to ride.
  15. What jets sizes are they? The dealer could have also jetted the banshees that they sold. That way they were not selling new banshee's that run like crap.
  16. They are a knock off jet. Real Mikuni jets have a small square box in the corner of a square box. That is mikuni's trade mark.
  17. I think that over time they just bow. So filpping them over from time to time helps.
  18. I would go 35's on a cub and they are a desent drag port out of the box. If you building a dedicated drag bike then I would go 39's
  19. I am not trying to be mean but it is probably the person working on it. You have to buil these engines right. If you go cheap or dont know what your doing it usually just causes head aches later down the road and ruined riding trips.
  20. Why would ypu put a yfz engine in a banshee. The banshee is a turd when it comes to suspension. The engine is what makes a banshee a banshee. Plus you would have to have the yfz engine set off to the LH side since the banshee engine is a inline twin, and it also sets off to the LH side for drive chain alignment.
  21. I would hate to guess how much dirt and sand got sucked into the engine running it with no air filter, expecially with a dirty air box like that.
  22. It has antifreeze protection to -27 deg F. http://www.engineice.com/
