  1. It also depends on how the gauge is fitted to the cylinder. If it has hollow threaded on adaptors instead of individual hoses for all the different spark plug types that will affect the reading. Any volume from the schrader valve in the hose to the tip of the adaptor is added volume to the combustion chamber.
  2. Id probably cut the ends out of two of those filters so you can glue in a piece of pvc pipe. That way you can clamp another set of filters to the pvc ends.
  3. When I done my 06 finders and graphics the plastics we're around 500, and the decals were around 350. That was for OEM Yamaha Parts. The rear finder graphics were $75 bucks a side.
  4. Also coat the o rings with vasoline so you don't tear or snag an oring.
  5. Order by 8pm and it ships the same day. https://www.denniskirk.com/mikuni/carb-mounting-flange-for-30-34mm-carbs.p1867.prd/1867.sku Probably could have had it the next day with out even paying for over night.
  6. It's just a mikuni boot. Not that hard to find.
  7. Usually the air fuel ratio goes rich when you engine break. With the throttle closed and the rpm's high you get a stronger vacuum though / behind the carbs. So with the stronger vacuum it pulls more fuel through the pilot circuits.
  8. Well I decided to go with the Springfield TRP. I went with the regular non railed TRP with the standard fixed sights, and barrel bushing. Part of my decision was based off how Springfield has handled customers who had issues, or had custom work done by SA.
  9. RM Stator and Ricky Stator sell the same chineese junk, so you can look in to them as well. Here is the one and only Ricky Stators user profile. Take a look at his posts to see what he had to say about people problems. User Profile http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showuser=40480 Here is the main thread. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=163668
  10. I purchased 1 stator but went through 3 before I finally sent the last one back and told them to keep their junk. I also ran one of the High Output flywheels. Those are crap too. You can see the loose rivits by the rust coming out of them. Then one breaks and takes out the pickup coil on a Good Stator. So any way buy one and put it on before you go on a riding trip. That way you banshee can sit on the trailer while all your buddies are out having fun riding.
  11. Looks like they are moving on from junk fitting radiators to a arms if its the same ASI China company. It would be sweet if I could build a whole ASI reproduction Banshee for a grand or two. Then again could always get a trashed Yamaha Banshee for under a 1k and it would probably be just as strait as a new ASI Banchee. (spelled wrong for copy right reasons).
  12. Then I would look for a good used one. I wouldn't rely on a ProCom, but then again I don't like riding trips ruined because of cutting corners on cheap junk.
  13. Not really. The only aftermarket one I would some what trust is a Dyna Digital. All the other "Rev" boxes are just relabled ProCom junk.
  14. Just don't rev it hard for a long time in neutral or with the clutch pulled in. That isn't real good on them. Its like punching the air as hard as you can. Its kind of hard on you elbow and shoulder (connecting rod).
  15. I figured they could handle break clean since they have fuel flowing over them the whole time the engine is running. Id be more hesitant with carb clean before I would with break clean.
  16. I dont nessessarly need the light rail, but whats the pros and cons of the Bushingless barrel on your TRP vs. the other TRP that has a barrel bushing?
  17. The Springfield TRP is about the same price point as the Kimber that I was looking at. Both are around $1300. The TRP is supose to be Springfields top of the line production gun, short of their custom shops Professional model.
  18. I think a Spring Field M1A would be pretty cool. Not nearly as cheap to shoot as 5.56 though. I kind of like the old Garand style action.
  19. There is nothing wrong with a revolver. It is in fact a good defense gun because if it doesn't fire the first time you can pull the trigger again, where as a semi auto you have to re rack the slide to chamber another round. I am not looking for a carry self defense gun though. I like the look and feel of the 1911 so that is why I am considering one.
  20. Those do look pretty sweet. I dont know how a 14 rd double stack would feel though. The Elite Pro model looks pretty sweet to with the Ed Brown mag well, and silver barrel.
  21. Yea a revolver is pretty reliable gun. I just like the classic look and feel of the 1911. Some time a revolver would be on my list. Probably a .357 so you can go back and fourth between .357mag and .38 special. The thing with 1911's is you can trick them out like my kidd .22. A Wilson Combat Super Grade Tactical 1911 would be sweet but 5K is way out of my price range. Id probably be afraid to shoot it for that price.
  22. Well I was just thinking about a 1911 and those were the ones that caught my eye at the lgs. It won't be a carry gun just a fun plinker. The TRP has a super aggressive front strap checkering. It's also based off the SA TRP Pro model that the FBI contracted SA to produce.

    1911's

Anybody here shoot 1911's? I was looking at a Kimber Tactical HD or Entry. Both are steel framed and the Entry has a rail. Kimber Custome II HD http://www.kimberamerica.com/1911/tactical-ii/tactical-custom-hd-ii Kimber Custome II Entry http://www.kimberamerica.com/1911/tactical-ii/tactical-entry-ii The other one I was looking at is a Springfield Armory TRP. Probably the one with out the rail because the railed ones have more of an adjustable target sights.
