  1. I think if i was going to build one I would have taken the ez way out and bought a set of Matoon cases. That way you know it is done right.
  2. I would keep the Pro Design 20cc domes and get a Noss Machine head and throw that Mod Quad head in the trash can.
  3. It depends on how he set your porting up. If he ported your cylinders for a dune port and T6's then they would probably be best. If he didn't figure in your t6's then cpi's would probably have way better top end. josh
  4. RK GB520EXW ring chain here. That is all I have ever ran. The factory OEM Yamaha chain on my 660 raptor was a DID V series chain. It is about there bottom of the line o ring chain. You can get a new one for 30 bucks.
  5. RTV will not hold up to fuel. It will eat it and make it like a jelly. IF you use anything I would use yamabond.
  6. Yep a engine develops maximum power on the edge of detonation. Running race fuel in an egnine that is stup for pump fuel pushes you farter back from that edge. As said before next time get cash.
  7. I prefer Klotz oils because they have higer flash temps which means the oil doenst ignite and burn off. They are also a lot thicker in viscosity. I dont run an oil that is made for Injector systems because it is thined down so it will flow at low temps. Since you mix your gas and oil there is no need to run a thin watered down oil.
  8. PWK 28's. Dune port, or dune port and 4mill crank and go with PWK33's
  9. Not saying I want people do die for points. It might make them more aware of the danger that they are partaking in. If there is another race. They should have pics of the sceen from this accident posted right by the waring signs since the people do not read the waring signs. It takes a pretty hard message to get through to some people. I am just tired of rules being made, things becoming banned or outlawed to protect me because of stupid people with no commonsence. There is a lot of stuff in this world that you can die from. Get enough people dieing from it then it becomes illegeal or banned, instead of people acccepting that shit happens. You keep loosing stuff bit by bit until you have nothing.
  10. Well said. In this day in age you can do anything you want, and if something goes wrong you can blame some on else for not being there to protect your self. I wish the government was more open to "Natural Selection". Wonder how close people would stand to the race coures if they knew the drivers got bonus points for people.
  11. I don't know why yamaha would specify a resistor plug for the later years if they already have a resistor in the caps.
  12. You take a Dremel and cut part of the ground strap off. It is like making your own fancy $8 spark plug. I am not a member of this forum. It just came up when I did a search. It explains it pretty well. http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated-all-motor/16898-how-side-gap-spark-plugs.html
  13. The early banshee's specify a b8es plug. 87-2000 specify B8ES. BR8ES 2001-2006. I bet the 87-2000 banshee's just have the resistor in the spark plug wire boots / caps.
  14. It gives it some serious bite. Especially if you tap the end of the screw driver with a hammer to seat it. You might need a screw driver that has a 1/4 in nut next to the handle. That way you can use a box end wrench for more torque.
  15. Get some valve lapping compound and put it on the tip the scew driver. It is gritty and will give the scewdriver grip on the screw. It will feel like your going to twist the scew off before it will strip the head. It works great on allen heads too.
  16. If you advance it to point where it is diesling then you have gone to far. All your doing is creating excess heat wich causes the engine to keep running.
  17. What ever value you come up with -$500 for new pipes.
  18. I would have guess around a 160 main. You might check the pickup coil gap. Maybe some one who has experiance running those cylinders will chime in. Are they the sleeved stock cylinders, or the sleeper new casting cylinders.
  19. Your sig says your running a 2:1 or are you running dual 39's. What size mains have you tried?
  20. What stator are you running? OEM or aftermarket?
  21. Yea or you can use a hide a key and put it under the seat. Always leave the key on except when you park it.
  22. Mine were pro designe 19cc domes. My cylinders were also ported. That also makes a difference.
  23. That guy was a sponcer on here for 1/2 a week. Don't know what happed. I use to get a warning about a viruse when I go to his site on my pc. His ez clutch pull lever looks pretty nice for the money.
