  1. Yea but it looks cool and it is only 39 bucks
  2. But it looks cool and it is only 39 bucks.
  3. Yep then you have to figure out what off set the rims are.
  4. I dont belive you chop the threads off on an Methanol plug. I think you just read the outer metal ring and ground strap to see how the heat has colored it.
  5. So is it giong to be close to OEM port timings? Is it going to have all the ports that the cub has (worm holes, and tripple exhaust ports)
  6. VF3's You have 2x as many reeds per cage so they open half as far. Since they only open half as far they use a light tension reed. That is what makes for the crisper throttle responce. Reeds are not a HP mod they are a throttle responce mod.
  7. That is why I haven't done one. You hear guys say you can ride them just like a standard transmission. I look at a dunable over ride as a more forgiving over ride. It still shouldn't be back loaded. You cut the back side of the dogs off at an angle it is going to try to kick back out of gear.
  8. I have been running them for a couple of years. Ever since I switched from T5's to CPI's. They have held up pretty good. the rubber Isolators in between the half's isn't bolted in solid. I had one pull apart. There is a stud that sticks out of one end. The other end is threaded and it has the Phillips screw. They pulled apart because the mounting tab on one of my cpi's isn't exactly the right place. So it put an angle and eventually the stud pulled out of the rubber. I just put a bolt through the whole rubber like people do for the OEM hangers that pull apart. It makes it a little more solid though. I would defiantly buy them again.
  9. Yep they are about the best aftermarket ones you can get. They look to be TM Designworks. http://www.tmdesignworks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=149&products_id=242
  10. Yep that is the attitude to have. Yea it does give you a little more power. For most people is isn't worth the possible loss in reliability. Just like the long rod / short rod 4 mill stroker crank debate.
  11. I guess go for it and let us know how long it lasts. Most guys dont open the piston windows because they chose reliability over 0.00000000000000000000000000028 hp.
  12. Yea I would do as jeff said. Your mods are pretty similar to mine. I am currently cunning a 160 main, 48 pilot, cel needles middle clip.
  13. A dyno sheet with PWK 28's and Pro Circuit pipes would be intresting to see too. (same dyno of course) That is supose to be the hot set up for about the best bottom end and still being able to rev out on the top end. It would be cool to see the extreem opposite of what this cylinder can do. If you ever build one of these keep us up to date. josh
  14. It is a lot easer to hose some one over the internet. You gets hosed in persion there is a good chance there will be a fist coming your way so it doenst happen near as much.
  15. You can buy a complete banshee cheaper than building one. If your wanting another machine. The down side is you dont know what kind of work has been done. Just cause you pay for a good looking machine doesnt mean you actually get one. Some people have no clue on how to build an engine. You could always turn yours in to a dune machine. 4mill crank, dune ported cylinders, cpi pipes, PWK 333 carbs, +4 swing arm. It would be a fun general riding machine. If your going to build more twards a drag banshee then you should probably start out fresh with a frame and build up from there. You wont be using much from a complete banshee.
  16. Yep the chain adjuster is deffinatly worth it. Alba stock lenght swing arm is what I am running.
  17. Bump for a good tire. I run these on my 720cc raptor. Good tire, 6 ply. radial. They are a knock off version of the Maxxis I razr.
  18. dont splurge and get anything with a arms or anyting.
  19. So if the right side runs slightly cooler it will be slightly richer wich in turn will cause the exhaust to be slightly cooler. I would think the rh cylinder would be cooler due to the water pump. No it doesn't directly circulate coolant through the cylinder but it does through the clutch cover. The volume of air behind the clutch cover is also greater than the volume of air behind the stator cover.
  20. Looks rich to me but how long did you ride on those plugs. Mine are pretty much all white except for the smoke ring when I chop them. Looks like yours have been rode around for a while.
  21. Ethrie way I would have pulled the drain bolts out of the side of the cylinders so antifreeze didnt get spilled down into the crank case.
  22. Wich would likly be caused by the guy you bought it from, not Sunoco.
  23. The guy with the less seniority has to make the first move. Wether that is sending cash if he is buying, or Send the part out if he is selling. I bet if he had to send his parts out with out being paid first he would take way more detailed pic's to make sure he covered his butt. Agree on the price then when the more senior member recieves the goods he has to send the money via paypal or a money order certified mail. That way the money isnt conviently getting lost in the mail. It is a trust thing. My cash is just as valuable as the parts he is sending. So why should I have to take the risk with a fly by night newbee.
