  1. Detonation from improperly cut Trinity Domes? Who or where did you get the cylinder head domes from?
  2. You wont find a 35 dollar chain on my banshee.
  3. What you herd was correct. Low end. Drop the front sprocket size or increase the rear sprocket size. Top end. Increase the front sprocket size or decrease the rear sprocket size. Go ride a 18 speed bicycle and try out the gears. Seeing and feeling it in your legs is believing. The other part of gearing is having the HP to turn the high gearing. You can run a 18 T (verry large) front and a 38T (really small) rear but if you dont have massive power to turn the gears you will probably pickup speed by droping to a lower gearing.
  4. You could always get all new bolts. Drill and tap for what ever you want. Call cpi and see what they use.
  5. Throw the junk Trinity cylinders in the trash and build a 4 mill.
  6. What good is a phone that can techinally do "Two" things at once when it cant even keep from dropping calls? Are you guys trying to Skype and Watch porn at the same time?
  7. Yea but it only takes 1 pinched (improperly installed) o ring to cause a leak. So if pinched o rings are a problem then an OEM head is for you. A 2 piece head allows you to visually see that the domes are properly lined up before you put on the top plate.
  8. Glad they worked for you. Sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt.
  9. Good idea that way you get the total hillbilly effect. Make sure you also put bud light cans on the shock reservoirs
  10. Your going to get everybody's own opinion. That also is going to depend on who " their" builder is. You best bet is to call a few of them and see how your treated. See who can answer all your questions, and who can meet your time line. Some builders are backed up, some can probably get you right in. Keep in mind the ones that are backed up are like that because they are popular, not because they are just slow. I wouldn't bother with TZ bearing on a mild port job. Two max load bearings would probably be fine and still over kill. They are the same as the regular ball bearing only with more ball bearings. That being said give Jeff at fast a call he is a great guy to talk to and do business with.
  11. I will just keep my old altell smart phone unlimited data pack for $19.99. Sticking with one carrier and not bouncing back and fourth year to year has its advantages. I just keep extending my current old alltell contract with verizon. So far they havent made me drop it and sign up with a more expensive verizon plan.
  12. Pro Design head is fine. I run one, it was on my banshee when I bought it. If I was going to buy a new head it would be a FAST Head (noss machine).
  13. And a wide aperature. I love how shotting with the lens wide open blurs the background. Shooting with the aperature wide open (f1.4 to 3.5 depending on your lenses) allows more light in so you can use a faster shutter speed or a lower ISO. It also cause a shallow depth of field (blured back ground) Around F11 is a good who cares shot. good for genera purpose. F22 is used for taling pictures with a deep depth of field. Stuff in the foreground, and background in focus. Generally you focus 1/3 of the way in the photo. Your camera has a AV and TV mode. The AV is aperature priority. It allows you to set the aperature and the camera will automaticaly set the ISO and Shutter Speed. TV mode is shutter speed priority. You pick the shutter speed and it pics the Aperature and ISO. They are kind of like full auto mode only with a little control. I have a Canon 60D with the kit 18--135mm IS lens and a 70-300mm IS USM lens. The L lenses that have a 2.8 aperature would be sweet but I cant spend $2,500 on a lens. I would like to get the Sigma 8-17mm Ultra Wide Angle lense. It is around 800 bucks. Get "Understanding Exposure" 3rd edition. It really explains the camera settings and how to take pictures. For any given picutre there is about 4-6 combos of Aperature, Shutter Speed, and Iso to get a good picture. The different combos will affect how the picture looks. Creative Shutter Speed is also another good one. It talks about how to imply motion, freeze motion, or give a false sence of motion in your pictures.
  14. Put a set of risistor plugs in. BR8ES see what that does. I was getting a tach reading with out the lead pluged in to the vapor when I was running non resistor B8ES. Peggin when you reve it sounds like the tach setting needs to be set to 2 pulses per RPM. How do you have the tach picup wired? To the orange and black wire on the coil or did you wrap the red wire around the plug wire?
  15. I guess if you dont care if the top and bottom cases halfs are not lined up. If you could get away with one Yamaha would have only put one in there.
  16. 50 in LG Infinia Plasma 3D. 50PX950 is the model number. THX certified display. I wanted a 3D TV since I was going to be getting a new one. Our old TV was a Akai 720p 36" TV. It needed updated. With 3d your TV shows 2 separate pictures. One for each eye. They alternate back and fourth. The shutter glasses block each one eye at a time and are in sync with the TV. So if you get a LCD or LED TV that is rated at 240Hz you only have a 120Hz TV when in 3d mode. You need a bare minimum 240hz for a good 3d picture. 480hz would be best. LG's Infina LED 3d TV's are rated at 480 Hz and are fully back lit led with local dimming. They rival the plasma in dark black colors. The only bad thing is they are 4,000 bucks vs my lg infina plasma being 1399 with 2 free pair of glasses.
  17. There is a notch cut in to the dome and there is a finger in the shell. It keeps the dome from spinning when installing and removing sparkplugs. It will have one.
  18. custom 106 HP 87 ninga < 90 hp bolt on cub cylinder. The problem with doing all these engine swaps with a banshee is your starting out with 80's technology suspension. Then you have to deal with the frame not being very high because the factory engine is rather short. Yea you can chop and hack to get it to fit but it will look like crap. You should look for a 660 raptor roller if your wanting to do something custom. They have alot more room that will accomidate taller engines.
  19. Dont use any sealer. Use some vasoline or petrolium jelly, not grease. It is only there to hold the o rings in place until you have installed the head. Vasoline will melt and disperse once you have started up the engine. Wheel bearing or any other grease will stay chunked together until it breaks loose. Then you have chuncks of grease floating around in the cooling system. Here is the easiest way to install the head. Remove the rear 90 deg elbow from the head. That way your not tring to fight the rear coolant hose while trying to keep the o rings in place. Install one dome at a time. Just set them over the cylinder in the apporximate location. Then slide the shell over the studs and down on top of the domes. Make sure you line up the locating notch in the dome with the finger in the head shell. Install the top plate and torque it down. Finally reinstall the rear elbow.
  20. I quit reading where he said "if you dont have the right tools". Dremel = not the right tools.
  21. Another thing to try is to fill it from the master cylinder up. Get a sringe and a pice of hose. Put it on the master cylinder opean the bleed valve and force the fuid up in to the resivour. Air tries to go up so if you fill from the bottom up it will help it along.
  22. Crappy cell phone picture. I dont know what my wife was watching on tv when she took the pic.
  23. Always nice to see an Old Skooler checking in.
