  1. Yep pressure washing the top case half is usually how water gets in around the rubber gromet.
  2. I like the fact that they will pack multiple items in one box for convinance but the buyer still pays seperate shipping.
  3. I think I would have just paid jeff for the work and not let trinity look to see what was done to fix it. That is all they wanted to do. See how some one fixed their problem and they try to copy it.
  4. I would talk to jim if he is doing the engine work. A Flat track motor needs to have smoth power delivery so you dont spin the wheels. Especially if your running a short flat track where there isnt long straight aways.
  5. That and water gets in through where the wiring comes in. Now you have no way for water to get back out. I actually have a couple small holes drilled in the low spots. That way it can get out.
  6. find some one who builds kart engines. I bought a head off of ebay that was milled .050 for a 5 hp briggs.
  7. Hot Rods 4mill crank from Jeff at fast is $435.
  8. Probably would have been cheaper in the long run to just keep the banshee and buy a 250f outright.
  9. I run the Piaa H6M bulbs, yes they are expensive but work well especially for a drop in replacement. The Tusk or other knock off brands on ebay should work well too. What head light housings are you running? Plastic or Glass?
  10. Yea you need to find some one new for advice. The righ stuff is the wrong stuff. It works good on cars sealing oil but it wont stand up to fuel. Never use a RTV, Ultra Sealer, or Silicone for cases. Two Reasons. #1. Fuel disoves them. #2 They are a thick sealer. So you can cause improper tolorances (to large) between the cases, and bearings. Yamabond 4, Hondabond 4, Three Bond, Permatex Moto Seal are the correct products to use.
  11. Maximum Horse Power doesn't out weigh useable hp. So depending on your rididng style / terrain, engine mods, and desired power curve, one might be better than the other one.
  12. I know it is a blanket law that covers all US Forest Service land. Sand or wooded.
  13. If they ever get super anal around here I am going to put FMF Turbine Core II silencers on my CPI stinger tubes. FMF's turbine core II spark arrestor is "I Believe" a screen less spark arrestor. It has fins inside the silencer that spins the exhaust. This causes pices of carbon to be smashed and broken up on the outer walls. A spark arrestor has to ethire trap particles to a certin size, or reduce carbon particles to a certian size.
  14. Here is some info on when I did my CPI Silencers. I cant remember the OD. of the spark arrestor where it slips inside the silencer body. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114376&st=0&p=997746&hl=+cpi%20+trinity&fromsearch=1entry997746 The way some of the riding places are policed where these pipes get used, you would think that the MFG's would start to take recogniton and have some sort of spark arrestor system. It is like they expect you to go renagade and run no spark arrestor or be satisfied with clamp on sparkies that look like a$$ and scratch up the silencer.
  15. Here is my CPI silencers with Trinity Spark arrestors.
  16. Never said it was needed or rquired, just tougher and more expensive.
  17. The one we are talking about it the one from trinity for 149. It is the kit only. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250662698274&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT I believe he did buy the one from matoon machine wich is the used machined cover and the lockup ring already installed.
  18. I used a honda cr125 kill switch and it pluged right in to the banana / bullit conectors on the factory wring harness.
  19. RK GB520EWX chain. My banshee holds its adjustment pretty well. It has the mods in my signature. If you want to go to extreem then go up to a 530 chain but it wont be cheap.
  20. No surprise since it comes from Rancho Cucamonga, California.
  21. I didnt realize you were still alive. How have you been.
  22. I would pass on that. Get a direct drive new die cast cover. They are a new cast cover instead of hacking up an oem cover and glueing on a extension ring. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want glue holing on the side of my clutch cover.
  23. Noss cool head with stroker domes is what I would run. Keep an eye out for a pair of ported 4 mill cylinders that were done by a reputable shop.
