  1. The cat will burn it up so you wont get any smell. If they dont have cat's then go for it. It is actually made for running in race cars running methanol. One bottle treats up to 50 gallons of methanol, 20 gallons of gasoline, or 5-10 gallons of diesel fuel. The other side affect is it will scent the oil. I ran some through my raptor. I got oil on my hands next time I changed it. My hands smelt like grapes for a while.
  2. I put it in other peoples machines. Then they are scratching their head trying to figure out what the smell is. It really throws them for a loop since it comes from their own machine.
  3. If you wanted to get real creative you could add just enough to get some on the tip of the dip stick. Then mark your lexan. Then add enough to get it to the full line. Mark that level. Now you wouldn't even need a dipstick.
  4. Why would Keihin market design and sell an inferior carb as a replacement for the PJ?
  5. Maybe they were lined up properly but got miss aligned when installing it. It wouldnt take very much torque of a wrech tighting down the nuts to bend the finger. I doubt any one would bend the tabs putting the domes in the head, but tighting down the head with miss aligned domes could happen a lot easier.
  6. TM Designworks hangers RIS pipe clamps
  7. That is why I recommend a 2 piece head like a Noss Machine or Prodesign. You can visually check the alignment of the domes before putting on the top plate / half.
  8. I guess I havent ever seen a post where people claim that PWK's will out preform (as in make more HP) pj's. The pwk's are a newer designed carbs.
  9. You can run Royal Purple Max Cycle. It is a 4 stroke wet clutch approved motor cycle oil.
  10. I have a set of 3 (Left, Center, Right) Black Mamba II 1.5 meter RCA interconects. I believe they are made / terminated by Audio Advisor. They have silver RCA-800 termination. I though when I bought a 3 pack it was for 1.5 pairs. L,C,R. Well it turned out to be 6 cables total. So here are the other 3 up for sale. One pair is still sealed in the package. The L+R sealed package has one cable with red lettering, and the other has silver. The single cable will have red lettering. The single cable also doesn't have the 1.5" piece of Audio Advisor heat shrink lable. Since they are made by Audio Advisor they didnt come with any AudioQuest packaging. I can inclued a photo copy of the reciept if need be. They were purchased 08/22/2011 Here is the information. http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=AQBMII&variation=1.5 $125 Priority Mail / Insured. Paypal Or Money Order.
  11. Now all you need to do is paint the engraving black then repolish it.
  12. I am sure they are right. With both carbs properly tuned and both at WOT you probably wouldnt see a performance difference. The PWK's slide is thinner and with the better low end circuits (pilot and Idle) makes for better bottom end throttle responce. Yea you wouldnt see much of a change for the dollars spent going from PJ's to PWK's, but if your starting out fresh then I would go PWK's. Unless money / budget issues then you can score a good set of PJ's to save on the costs.
  13. I am going to guess because some think they leak. I just sealed mine with yamabond.
  14. I would consider PJ's as old and out dated. I had a set of 34's and ditched them for PWK33's. The only thing they do better that the PWK is that they can be bought cheaper. So if your looking to save some coin and dont mind screwing with them then go for it. There are guys on here who do run PJ's.
  15. Do you still find your self going over to bluetrax though?
  16. Well the nice thing is that it isnt your primary mode of transportation. You dont rely on it to pay the bills. So when it breaks you can just park it.
  17. And if you sell it you will be chomping at the bit to ride in the spring. Only you wont have it.
  18. That is the one I have on mine. I painted the inner screen wrinkle black. It looks good.
  19. I dont know how running another carb would lean it out. You will need to jet them. Probably a pwk 28's would be better than 35's if you have a mild port job.
  20. The proper way would be to keep a log / records. That way you know what it started out as, and how far, and fast it has gone down.
