  1. knoxvillebanshee Bought a set of cylinders from him. Good guy to deal with. Fast Shipping. josh jbooker82
  2. One more thing I might be away from a computer for a little while as I might be out of town for work. I will get back to you though. Thanks for looking josh
  3. Do you really have to change it ever weekend? There are lots of cars and trucks that run ATF in there manual transmissions. They dont change it that often. Most go at least 50,000 miles. Does the ATF come out burnt smelling like it does when atf is old?
  4. Why not get 2 uni pod clamp on filters and get rid of the air box?
  5. For sale is a pai of Keihin PJ34mm carbs. They are in great shape. I could put just about what ever size jets you want in them. They will come with ethire CEK or DEK needles you choice. I would probably run the DEK's. That is what is in there now. I ran my banshee with this jetting 155 main 58 pilot CEK Needle 3rd clip position with this set up. MX port Job FMF SST Pipes and Turbine Core 2 Silencers 19cc Cool Head V force 2 Reeds K&N proflow with no air box lid Timing set at +4 Deg If you have any quesitons feel free to ask. You can PM me or email me at jbooker82@yahoo.com I am asking $200 for the carbs and the Cable. Thanks again josh
  6. Here is what jet hot's sterling silver looks like. This is my 660 raptor header. The only bad thing is that you wont be able to scrub off burn on oil with out the chance of removing the coating. That is the advantage of chrome over any other exhaust coating. The difference in price is only $110 between the Steal and Chrome finish from toomey. You send your pipes to jet hot it is going to be way more than that. My Raptor exhaust was $140.
  7. Yea it is probably becuase you put penzoil 10w30 in it. If your going to run an engine oil in your banshee you need to make sure it is for motorcycles and atv's. Motorcycle and Atv engine oil is designed to be used with a wet clutch system. Regular penzoil is made for cars and has friction modifiers in it. That is what is causing your clutch to slip. Look on the back of your oil jug. Does it have a little symbol that is round and has all of the oil certifications on it. If it says Conserves Energy or Energy Conserving then it has friction modifiers in it. There are a few auto engine oils that will work with your banshee though. A good one is Synthitic Rotella 5w40 it is a synthetic oil made for diesel trucks. A very good oil that will work with your wet clutch and it can be bought at walmart. The non synthetic oil will work as well but it is a 15w40. A lot heavier oil. Some people on here use Automatic Transmission Fluid type F. with good sucess. I run Belray's Gear Saver 80W gear oil. It is made for 2 stroke transmissions. If you wanted to save your clutch dain that oil out now and refill it up with a different oil. Take it easy on the clutch for a while. Then drain the oil out and refill. Kind of flush it out. josh
  8. I dont know if you will find a shop that will plate your used pipes. The oil in them will contaminate there chemical tanks.
  9. It doesnt really say anything about jettting. A brass color I would think would be caused by a cooler temp. My fmf's tund a brown brass color. My new T5's tuned blue. I think if your machine ran a little leaner they would eventually turn blue.
  10. What pistons and crank are you running. You wouldnt have happend to use 795 series pistons with a non long rod stroker crank would you? That could cause a low compression reading as well.
  11. It is the last name of the owner of Noss Machine. David Noss They make all kinds of billit parts but are mostly known for there banshee head.
  12. Copper, Nickle, then Chrome. Chrome is just a clear coat that keeps the nickel from tarnishing.
  13. no it is not the same. The 80w trans oil is lighter than 80w gear oil. Try this. Get a quart of each and shake them. Feel how stiff the 80w90 is compaired to the 80w trans oil.
  14. Anybody have a set of stock non ported cylinders they want to get rid of? I would prefer a stock bore, but let me know what you have. josh
  15. I looked in to this set up. It looks better than the vitos becuse they use the same sleeve for the standard bores too. Same cylinder for 64mm to 69mm
  16. You might try a plastic scraper too. I also use 0000 steel wool on my pipes.
  17. Does anybody have any banshee cylinders that need to be resleeved? I would prefer if they didnt have any port work done. Let me know. josh
  18. The Real Hot Wires have a ground strap coming out of them. Like this.
  19. well according to noss machine's web page 19cc domes at 2000 ft is approx 165 psi. My banshee is also ported so that can lower the compression. I havent ever herd any pining sound.
  20. I run 19cc domes with 91 pump fuel at 2500 ft elevation.
  21. Like all these guys said. Check your reeds. Since you have an intake manifold that goes between both cylinders. The other side that is running is pulling air through the exhaust, then engine and over to the other cylinder. That is what is making the high reving.
  22. I run Bel Ray 80W Gear saver oil with 10% of the heavy duity oil stabilizer in my transmission.
