  1. Long Rod Cranks are more reliable. They put less side load on the piston skirts. Hot rods even sells a long rod crank with the stock stroke for people that want better reliabiality with out doing the stroker crank.
  2. If your going to get an outlaw why dont you just get a nice utility machine. The out law is just a 2wd utility with a manual clutch. Look at the stats compaird to a utility. They have as much ground clearance, weigh about the same, and seat hight. Get you a Can Am 800.
  3. Have you thought about getting a Noss Head? Those are pretty sweet but if you saving some cash a milled stock one would work to. You should advance the timing as well. You can get a adjustabe stator plate on ebay for around 30-35 bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-YFZ3...sspagenameZWD1V
  4. Here you go. http://www.dmc-on-line.com/alien.shtml I believe you need part number 25900-11 for $55.95. The other one says you need 2 so that wouldnt be for the 916 system. You might call DMC to conferm that is the right one. josh
  5. The only thread tape that I know of is Teflon Tape. It is used to seal up bolt threads and threaded pipe fittings.
  6. You wouldnt need the trail tech bar clamp like it got. I would think you could mount it like mine with just a regular clamp. You just take the mounting bracket that they come with and flatten it out. Notch the corners off so it will clear the bolts in the front of the bar clamp. Put it inbetween the upper and lower bar clamp and pintch it down.
  7. Thanks man. I know what it is like to have to many things going. Doenst seem like you ever get any where when you work on them. josh
  8. Well my raptor carbs take the mikuni small round style mikuni jets. My dynojets are the same shape and size. Only they say DJ and then 150. Dynojet 150 size. Do the dynojets have that mikuni symbole on them? You know the box in the corner of the box? josh
  9. Consider the frame sold if The Shee doesnt take it.
  10. I dont know if this is true for banshees but on my raptor 660 I couldnt use a stock mikuni needle with the dynojet jets. Dynojet jets have a specail taper that is made for there needles. I dont know if that goes for the banshee or not. josh
  11. How long ago did they do the work. I would take it back to them.
  12. Or take another one out and go to a harware store and pick one up. It is just a Metric automotive stud. Nothing special. josh
  13. Plus free reving an engine is hard on it. Try punching the air has hard as you can. That is what you do to a motor by free reving it.
  14. The boost bottle doesnt leak it causes the rubber boots to crack around where it slips in to the intakes. Ethire way I would ditch the bottle. My Boss intake has a crossover tube machined in to it. I think you can get them for stock to 28mm carbs too.
  15. I dont use any sealer on my reeds or intake. Just make sure you have a gasket betweent he cylinder and reeds, and one in between the reeds and intake.
  16. Put the rubber flanges in boiling water. Then put them on that will resize them. I wouldnt clamp them down until they cooled off orther wise you my distorth the flanges by cinching the clamps down.
  17. I would say an air leak to. A lean condition is causing the hanging idle.
  18. What oil and mixtue are you running? josh
  19. If you looking for some serious blaster hp check this guy out. He even has a water cooled cool head on his that he is selling. You can see the pic in his sig. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry655212
  20. I would say it looks good, but see what the pros on here have to say. josh
  21. If you did a plug chop and it looked a little rich then your mains should be ok. 70-80 percent of most peoples riding is in the area where the needle affects jetting. I would say that is what your spark plug represents. If your board and want to try a step richer on the needle to see how it acts. josh
  22. Well mine doesnt slip it just dont release all the way until it is warmed up.
  23. CPI's are the FMF's of the Drag Pipe world.
  24. Some people are in a big hurry to get your money then take for ever to ship the parts out. If I was going to wait a week to ship the parts out, I would wait a week to post them for sale. That way when I get paid they ship out the same day. They probably aslo got sent Economy (Surface) Parcel Post. 4-6 weeks delivery time. For a $1.65 could have been shipped regular Air Mail Parcel Post for $17.65 and had a delivery time of 4-10 days. Check it out. http://ircalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?CID=...=4&Ounces=1
  25. Perfictly normal. The clutch plates are just haning up a little do to the fact that they are dry. You should really let it warm up before riding it. That way the oil gets up to operating temp and worked in to places it needs to be. The pistons warm up and expand to the deminsions that they are supose to be. Nothing says engine carnage like 10,000 rpm with a cold engine. With my raptor 660 if I start it up in gear with the clutch pulled in it will creep forward until the oil gets flowing. josh
