  1. Get them chrome. Bare metal will rust really fast. Black powder coating is going to be a pain to keep clean. Ever have a black car? You get any kind of water on them and they will water spot and bake on there. Chrome is a tough surface. When you get a little burnt on oil on the out side, around where it conects to the engine. Get some 000, or 0000 steelwool, soak it down with some acetone and scrub away. Try doing that to any powdercoated or ceramic coated pipe. The coating will come right off. If you dont chrome them now, it will cost a lot later if you run the pipes and decide to have them chrome plated, if you can find some body that will do used pipes. They have to be cleaned out so they are spotless other wise they will contaminate there solution tanks. If price is the problem I wouldnt sugest getting them ceramic coated. My single exhaust header on my raptor cost $150 dollars to have jet hot coat it. It is a pretty safe bet that one side of the banshee takes more coaing than my raptors exhaust. It is hard enought keeping it clean from just water and a little dirt. I absolutly dont go mud bogging.
  2. I Run a nology Coil with Nology Hot Wires. The nice thing about it is you can change plug wires. The coil has 2 terminals that you snap the spark plug wires on to. It is like automobies. You dont have to run the Nology Wires. You could make you a couple of MSD SuperConductor plug wires if you wanted. Talk to jeff at FAST he has the best price on the coil and hot wires. Most places sell the hot wires at 75 bucks a pop. Plus a nother 100 for the coil. Jeffs entire package is 145. I have checked in to other places that claim to sell the same kit for a little cheaper. They dont give you Hot Wires. Just a generic plug wire. You have to ground the hot wires to the cylinder head. Just take a nut off and put the ring terminal under it and retorque it down. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=46
  3. I had one of them on my raptor and wont buy another one. Ethire the clutch wouldnt disengage or the clutch wouldnt fully engage. I Tried everything. Ended up selling it and getting a nice clutch perch and lever.
  4. So does toomey. This comes right off of Patriot Racings web page. Just click the different engine setups and they list all there recomendations. http://www.patriotracing.net/Banshee.htm Kind of gives you an Idea of what pipe they recomend for what port job you are having done.
  5. Glad that took care of it for you. Is 25's the stock pilot size in the banshee? Sorry for the dumb question but I have never had a banshee that had the stock carbs on it. It has always had Keihins.
  6. I would rather jet my Keihins. That Big plug on the bottom of the bowl. You just take it out and then swap mains. No need to pull the bowl clear off and mess with those stupid philips head screws.
  7. You get them from Cascade Innovations. The allow your V Force 3's to have a big opean Square instead of the Small round hole. I would emagine that not running the stuffers with a 2:1 would be a huge performance killer. http://webforce.nwrain.net/founder/cascade...TORE_DEPT_ID=83
  8. I bought a used set of patriot racing drag ported cylinders for $100. They needed to be resleeved. So I contacted Patriot Racing and they said they would resleeve them. They said that they could resleeve them with sleeves that started out at 66mm. I didnt want to have them resleeve them with stock bore sleeves and then punch them out to 66mm right a way. It will be a 400cc. I dont know if I would have a set of perfictly fine cylinders bored out and resleeved. Patrioit racing shot me a pretty good price on resleeving those cylinders. I will have around $400 in the cylinders by the are done being resleeved. That is about the price of a port job. Paying for a port job and resleeving you would have just as much money invested in stock cylinders that you could go buy a cub. I wouldnt have done this if i didnt get the ported 4 mill cylinders for $100.
  9. I believe most people run 68 mm blaster pistons with the 4mm long rod crank. I am going to be running 66mm blaster pistons in a set of ported stock cylinders that I got resleeved. I will also have to run custome cut domes. I dont know if you would have to do that since your running a cub. I dont know if the cylinders are made with a taller deck hight to allow for the stroker.
  10. I will pay the shipping on the lowring kit, and get you a shipping quote on the 2 cases of dr pepper.
  11. It is just called a flush mount valve stem. Any tire shop should have them, or should be able to get them for you. josh
  12. I think it would be under powered. Unless you had a really built engine. Chances are the dune buggy is going to weigh more than the banshee. Then add 2 people to the wight. You would be better off using a 1000 cc engine out of a crotch rocket. Way easier on the fuel, better power delivery.
  13. I would try turning the air screws out another .5 turns. or maybe a little more. If it starts to run good and your over 3 turns out you need to go down a size in the pilot jet and re adjust the air screws.
  14. Carbide is very hard. The only thing that is going to cut through carbide is a carbide drill bit. If you used a colbalt drill bit then your extractor wasnt made of carbide.
  15. Here is a pic right off Prodesign's web page. It is engraved just like the the numbers -10 to +10
  16. .40 is a little over 10mm's. I think you mean .040 witch is 1mm. 1mm over and a 4 mill cranks is going to be a 385cc. To get a 421cc you have to do 68mm big bore cylinders and a 4 mill crank. I got a set of drag potred cylinders by patriot racing that I had resleeved to start the bore out at 66mm. I am going to run 66mm blaster pistons with a 4 mill crank it it is going to be a 400cc.
  17. 350shee has a direct drive lock up and polished cover for sale in the for sale forum. I bought one from him. Way cheaper than directdrives price.
  18. I would get the cylinders ported. The machine is already appart, and no better time to do it if your going to be doing a top end. You can always pull the head later and have it shaved or put on a cool head. Some other mods you might consider. Modded Shift star and Shift shaft mods from jeff. They make shifting much easier.
  19. Looks like a Ricky Stator Plate. Prodesign's plate is billit aluminum not cast. You can get the RS plate on ebay new for 35.
  20. Free Bump. Money sent in the mail for the frame.
  21. Wich way did you add on to them? Behind or in front of the stock single peg? I have AC Racing nerfs that bolt up to the front of the stock peg. So if you added to the front of the stock peg they wont work for me. josh
  22. Your best bet is to sell your cylinders and get a different set of cylinders with stock porting and have them ported for your style of riding for the 4 mill crank. Like these other guys said. You cant really work with cylinders that have been ported for the stock crank. josh
  23. Last time I checked the banshee didnt have intake and exhaust valves and ports in the Head? What kind of riding do you do? That will tell you what kind of pipes to get. josh
