  1. I would replace the seals if it were me. Might save you from splitting the cases again due to an air leak. josh.

  3. I never really thought about the methanol still in the carbs Fing everyting up. R50 probably would then. With my weedwacker it makes the 1st pull really stiff. I just poured 32:1 benol in it. I didnt mix up some 50:1 like the manual sayed to run.
  4. Does it make your weed eater pull hard the first couple pulls. It did mine. Once it has been fired up it goes away. You really should switch to an oil that doesnt have caster oil in it for your purge. When you let caster oil sit it gets real gummy. Supertechinplate wouldnt be as bad since it only has 20% caster oil. That is why the bottle says do not use as a storage oil or not a storage oil. R50 would be the best. Messed with a model nitro engine after they have set a while. Same thing there because of the caster oil. josh
  5. Hell I switched because it made jetting the carbs much easier. You dont have to wrestle with that air box. I do run PWK's though
  6. I forgot to check the nuts that hold the cylinders down after a rebuild. They vibrated loose on my first ride. It reved to the moon. Blew the gaskets out.
  7. Yea if you want to try to mess around with the cylinders. You have a good set because they are on there last leg any way.
  8. Snoop yours is case #2 that I have herd of RS Flywheels doing this. I believe moneybags was the first. Did it mess anything up? and Was your flywheel lightened?
  9. What kind of oil do you run for premix? Just wondering because some times caster oil will get gummy. I noticed this on my weed wacker when I would run Klotz Supertechniplate. (It has 20% caster oil.) I couldnt imagine what it would be like if I tried Benol wich is 100% Caster oil. I never noticed it making my banshee hard to kick over. I think it is just more notice able in small engines. It never gave it a feeling of being locked up. Just felt like there was tar in the engine. You might have gotten a little water or just condensation in the engine. That would cause the cylinders to rust a little.
  10. Is there enough slack in the throttle cable to let the slides come down all the way? Try turning the idle screws out to slow down the idle. The jetting sounds good to me. most people running dual pwk's run 45-48 pilot and 148-165 mains. josh
  11. Just use the same thing as on the cases. I would just use a file to knock the high spots down on the top of the cylinder.
  12. Like NYUK said. Your carrier is oblonged shape. rotating the carrier is how you adjust the chain tension. You can see by the pic.
  13. If your a bigger guy like I am. I did a 4 mill crank and stock ported cylinders just to make sure.

  15. I run supertechniplate. It is a better oil than benol for general riding. Most people that burn benol mix it with methanol. Benol is a dirty buring oil compaired to supertechniplate. Supertechniplate has 20% benol.
  16. There are better ways of getting around the rubbing problem.
  17. Chances are if it is welded on there the threads on the shaft are alread screwed. I would try to get the sprocket off and then buy a used tranny and put it in. Then you would have some extra spare parts.
  18. Are they chrome or bare steel. I paid 590 for some cpi's from cascade. Cascade gets them from CPI in bare steel and they have there chrome plater put the chrome. Cascade's chrome is a show quality.
  19. Do it now. Once you have your cylinders ported for the stock crank they cannot be ported for a 4 mill crank. You will have to get new cylinders and have them ported for the crank. Really all it would cost to do the 4 mill would be the cost of the crank, and a new set of stroker domes for your cool head. I think jeff sells 4 mill cranks for 400-450.

  21. Yep sprocket has to come off. Then just bolt it on. TM designworks is the best case saver out there.
