  1. Banshee Cylinders LINK Selling a pair of banshe cylinders on ebay. 65mm.
  2. 73R is a PWK 28mm. 70R is a PWK 35mm. 71R is a PWK 38mm. 72R is a PWK 39mm. http://www.sudco.com/Diagrams323728/exppwk.gif
  3. Keihin PWK 28. The 28's have a flat stamped steel carb top that is held on with screws. PWK 33's and up use a screw on carb cap. http://www.keihin-us.com/am/products/pwk.php PWM's use the same style flat steel carb cap but the carb bowl is alot shorter. josh
  4. Better be a thick rubber. Look at the spacer I have between the frame and the pipe hanger. I think it is 3/8 or 1/2 inch.
  5. you might make sure that it is loosley bolted together. I had a pair of modd quad hangers. I never put them on because they are just rigid. I could see them breaking the pipe tabs pretty easly. I have a pair of TM Designworks. they have a ruber insert.
  6. What type of front hangers do you have? Bracket that mounts to the broken tab? josh
  7. If your clutch is good then you dont have to. The lockup just bolts on the out side of the pressure plate.
  8. You can get bran new bare steel kit from rocky mountain atv for 399. It will be bran new and Free shipping. Chrome really is the way to go though. It is much easier to keep clean and a way more durable finish. Chrome is 505.99 josh
  9. Flywheel Puller LINK You should be able to get one from rocky mountain avt or any other place that sells motion pro tools. It threads in to the flywheel so when you pulling the flywheel it puts the pressure on the center hub not on the out side of the flywheel. josh
  10. Keeping the stock cylinders I would go the Drag Ported 4 mill stroker. Set of Shearer, or CPI pipes, PWK 35's. crank 400-450 from jeff at fast drag port job 300-500 depending on builder carbs 350 or so from jeff Pipes 400-650 depending on where you get them from. Cascade is the high end of the scale but they have a reall nice chrome jobs that doesnt peel. Stroker domes for a cool head 100 bucks. josh
  11. I have been running ethanol in my vehicles for a long time. It has been around here in the midwest for years. Indy switched from methanol to ethanol alachol. They thought it would be a good promotion to run a fuel that was grown here in the USA. They havent had any problems with the switch. josh
  12. Sure there are several different ways to remove the flywheel. You can get the right tool and the job will be easy and you wont ruin anything. You could use a 3 jaw puller and bend the flywheel. You could try to use 2 prybars and probably end up bending the flywheel just like the 3 jaw puller. You use use a cut of wheel or angle grinder and just cut it off but you will probably end up ruinning the stator along with the crank shaft. You could use a cutting toarch wich would probably be the easiest but you will probably end up ruining the stator and crank as well.
  13. People want a good deal on good used parts. and they cant even take the time to log on add give you feed back that is nice. josh
  14. Yep. 927 would be comparable to Klotz Benol. Both of them are mostly caster oil. Supertechinplate is 80% synthetic 20% benol caster oil. It is a good oil and it is what I run. josh
  15. So the one you guys sell is a modded stock cover, instead of a new cast cover like Direct Drive sells. You have a welded or expoy extension ring for the lockup clearance. www.directdrivecnc.net josh
  16. Yea for ten bucks you cant go wrong. When you really need to have them is when you have a boss or any other intake that has a big square opeaing in the back. Helps match things up.
  17. If your experiancing piston slap with the motor warmed up to opperating temperature that is when you will start getting in trouble.
  18. The shift star helps with the shifting. I run a lockup with no override transmission and I have no problem. I would recomend an Ez Pull lever though. The nice thing about the lockup is you can tune it a little. I run 6 stock OEM springs with my lockup. It lets the clutch slip out of the hole. That keeps the RPM up and helps keep the front wheels down. I like to drag race for fun, and I also have to be able to trail ride it. I built my banshee, 4mill stroker, patriot racing drag ported stock cylinders, cpi pipes on a stock length arm. The front end still comes up but the stock clutch springs with the lockup help. Who ever you get the cover from make sure it is a direct drive diecast cover. It is a bran new casting. Much better way than milling off the top of a stock cover and welding or exoxying on the extension ring. josh
  19. Piston Slap in a 2 stoke is a good way to get a broken skirt. I bet your firebird doesnt turn 10,000 RPM. This is why you should check the compression a couple times a year. Write it down in a book some where. That way you have all your compression readings starting from when it was a new top end. You can compair your current readings and tell when it is time for a new top end. josh
  20. Yep. Reeds dont actually increase power much. They do make it more responsive though.
  21. I think the shift pro kit and jeffs shift shaft mod are about the same thing. The shift pro kit comes with the new pice that rides on the shift star. It has a roller berring so it roles over the star easier. It also comes with a lighter tension spring. It shifts easy enough that I can down shift with out using the clutch. It just pops down a gear. Kindof like you over ride guys going up through the gears under power. josh
  22. You just need a +2 swinger for yours. Then you can play too. You just have to learn throttle control. Yea you wont be able to beat the full blown drag banshee's but you could woop up on the 450's all day long.
  23. Couldnt you just take both yellow wires off of the stator and hook both of them up to the 1 yellow wire on the banshees wiring harness. josh
  24. I have one on my banshee with the modded shift star. It shifts real smooth. I would deffinatly do it again. josh
