  1. You could put a little bit of jb weld on the sprocket hub splines. Then put it on and torque it down. The jb weld will take up the slop and make for a nice tight fit.
  2. My patriot drag ported 4mill.stopped making power at 9100 to 9200 with cpi pipes and pwk carbs.
  3. I would go with a Prodesign Impeller and Radiator. I have both and work great. Should run you around 600. And a 600 dollar banshee is a steal withere it is in pices or not. josh
  4. Any radiadiator repair shop should be able to do that.
  5. why not just bolt it up to where it is supose to go.
  6. Another tip. Dont use locktight on them. It will cause the lexan to crack. I went through 3 of them trying to figure out what the heck was going on. It looked like some one smashed it with a hammer around the bolts. I only put locktight on the first one, and didnt completly clean it on the other 2. Finally direct drive told me to send my ring to them so they can check to see if it was warped. They cleaned it up real good, and I havent had a problem yet. josh
  7. I run a Dune Ported 4mill with CPI's. It works good for the trails that I ride. From the sounds of it they are tighter trails than what you run. I wouldnt go with a full drag port. I had a 4 mill drag ported with cpi's and the same modds in my sig. It pulled like hell on the extreem topend. It just wasnt fun riding on the trials. If you got the cash while you have your engine appart there isnt a better time to do a 4 mill.
  8. Put a finger in each carb touching the slide. Then lightly tap the throttle and fell if they both move at the same time, or if one starts sooner than the other.
  9. #1. Boring is when they make the cylinders larger. They go the minimum amount to make the cylinder true (same diameter at the top and at the bottom) This will require a new set of pistons because the hole is larger in diameter, so you need a larger piston. Most shops prefer to do a bore job after they port a pair of cylinders. That way the bore is 100% fresh and true. #2. Porting is when they smooth the ports in the cylinders. It allows air to flow better. They also opean up the ports in the sleeves. That changes when the fresh fuel and air come in and when the exhaust goes out. It is like putting a performance camshaft in a 4 stroke engine. It is highly recomended that if you dont know what your doing to have some one do it for you. You can ruin a good set of cylinders pretty fast. #3 Port matching the top case half to the cylinders is when they opean up the side of the case a little bit so it is an even flow of fuel and air from the crank case up in to the transfer ports. (ports on the sides of the cylinders) #4 You can get a pair of cylinders already ported and they will go on your banshee's engine fine. I would highly recomend sending them to some one and have them checked out first. That way if they need bored they can do it. Other wise you risk having a bad running engine due to low compression, or worse yet destroying the cylinders, and crank because the piston skirt broke. When the cylinders get worn they become to large for the pistons. They pistons can rock back and fourth in the cylinder and that is what brakes the bottom of the pistons off. #5 You could also buy a pair of non ported cylinders and send them to a builder. That way you dont have to tear your banshee down and wait. Brandon at Wild Card probably has a pretty quick trun around time. So it wouldnt be any big deal to send him the whole engine. That way all the engine assembly would be done. Other places my take longer to do the work. The more popular the builder the longer the wait. josh
  10. I think the main reson why you hear dirt bike guys talk about rering is due to the fact that most dirt bikes have a Nikasil or Chrome bore, where the banshee has a iron cylinder bore.
  11. I would use them if your intakes have big square opeaings. If they are just round then your best bet its to port match the stock v force stuffer to your intake.
  12. Looks good. Are you going to do only preorders on these? Let me know. I like the black one with they yellow letering.
  13. You cannot tell nothing by looking at those plugs. How can you determine if you have the correct main jet by looking at plugs that have been rode for 2hrs. You could have a rich needle and a lean main jet. That is why you need to warm it up on old plugs and clear it out. Put new ones in and fire it up go through all the gears at WOT. Then kill it pull the clutch in and stop. Then put the old plugs back in. That way the only time that the new plugs have been run is at WOT. Then you will be able to tell if the main is the right size or not.
  14. When you port for a 4 mill they usually start by lowering the ports since the piston will fall 2mm farther down in to they cylinder. Then raise them a little to get the durations that they want. When you port for a stock crank they just opean the tops of the ports. So when you take a pair of cylinders that have already been ported for a stock stroke crank, then lower the ports down to match the extra stroke your left with ports that are way to big and not optimal for performance. That is why most of the time you cannot report a pair of cylinders for a 4 mill once they have been ported for a stock stroke crank. Good luck with the refund. Get another pair of cylinders and have them ported for a 4 mill by a reputable banshee builder. Then swap your cylinders out for the new ones. josh
  15. that is how the 2 stroke gas golf karts work, but they are designed to be run in reverse.
  16. Yep fast sells lighter springs, taller carb top adjusters, and metal Idle scews.
  17. I would replace them completly then you would have some spairs.
  18. Sorry for the confusion. It just has the 1 square connector and the 2 bullit conectors for the lighting circuit. I was thinking of the cdi when I wrote that post.
  19. Changing the silencers wont do much for you. I dont know if they will even match up to the stock expansion chambers. You need to buy it as a set. Look for some used FMF's Pro Circuits, DMC's, or Toomey's.
  20. I would say it is from the premix or the color of the fuel. Mine turn a rusty red when running race fuel to.
  21. I was just digging that post up now that I am on my PC and not a Black Berry.
  22. If you want to get it dead on and do it right measure the squish and send the old domes and solder to noss. That way he can custom cut you a pair. There are to many varables to be able to say xxcc = xxxpsi.
