  1. I did my sons a few years ago. I dont remember changing the main. I'm pretty sure I left the jetting the same. It has a Toomey pipe and 310 main.
  2. I know Toomey gives you 280's and 270's with their "perfect jet kit". But keep in mind the 280's were meant to be run with the lid on and the box and lid having the small vents installed. With no lid your gonna need bigger mains. Trust me. 30 pilot sound about right.
  3. When our 99 had the air box with no lid If I remember right we ran 310-330 mains, 27.5, maybe 30 pilots with the Toomey (dynojet) needles on the middle clip. If its bogging low you need to look at your pilot and needle settings.
  4. Well thanks for all the replies. Guess I'll order it off of fleabay this weekend.
  5. I figured I'd give it a week to see how it feels. Still having some trouble taking a deep breath. If its the same Monday I'll get it checked out.
  6. It got bent last weekend. I figure if I buy another stocker off fleabay for say 50 bucks and get new seals and bearings for another 30 bux or so this would be a good set up for just a bit more. This comes with seals as well.
  7. Yeah, I'm done with that poolaris. Ive only fallen off my Banshee 2X, once on my sons blaster and got friggin abused 3X by this slow ass trailblazer. Each time I got launched. Now that I'm an oldhead I just dont bounce back like I used to. Still cant take a full breath. This SUCKS.
  8. I just rebuilt my wifes trail blazer and had it out in the pit yesterday with my two sons. My youngest sons 99 needs the top end redone so I let him ride the bike in my sig. Anyway we're cruising around to the back of the pit and I hit the gas and hit a huge puddle. The trail blazer veers to the right in the puddle and noses down big time and launches me off the to the left. My oldest son is following me on his Banshee and says I was about 6 feet off the ground and flew about 15 feet and landed in the puddle on my side. Must have pulled some muscles in my back because I still cant friggin breath. Anyway we putt around for a bit more and my little guy on my Banshee somehow bends the axle carrier and throws the chain so I have to tow him back with the trail blazer. So now I'm hurting big time and have a weekend of wrenching ahead of me. Not a happy camper.
  9. You should try it sometime as well. "There" in your sentence should be "Their". Don't be a douche. The kid is just trying to get something done on his own. Saving his money and trying to fix the bike on his own. Pretty good if you ask me. My suggestion is dont worry about the rod if it's not messed up. If you can afford Weisco pistons and a bore that would be your best bet.
  10. I did what you want to do on our 99. Just hack the front off and use the rear.
  11. Nice bike bud, but I'm thinking about swinging by your place and swiping the vigaro lawn fertilizer.
  12. Pull the carbs, clean them real good. Remove the main and pilots and clean them good as well. Tell us what sizes they are. Check the reeds and make sure they're fully closing on the cages. Make sure they're not cracked and there is no gap when they're sitting on the cages. Clean and flip em over. What clip is the needle on? Is it bent? Add fresh fuel mixed at 32-1 along with fresh plugs. Tell us what pipes are on the bike. Do a compression test. Unplug the TORS and parking brake. Synch the carbs. This is about a 4 beer job. Good luck
  13. Unless you have a pretty aggressive port 35's will most likely hurt your performance somewhat. Kinda like an aggressive port with 33's. I have that problem with our 2002. Aggressive port with 33's. Really hard to dial in. If it is a good deal buy them and sell or trade them here.
  14. 33's with pods. You'll notice a decent power increase with pods over the box. Why race fuel? Whats your compression?
  15. 290's sound way small. I ran 300's with the stock air box and no lid. At sea level I run 340 mains and 27.5 pilots with pods on our stock 99 with just T-5S, cool head, and v-force.
  16. TTT, I'll throw in some chrome pipe clamps I have laying around as well. These are FMFs top of the line pipes in great conditon with some chrome pipe clamps for 250 shipped. Somebody is gonna get a great deal. Lower 48 states please. No Pay pal. Cashiers check or money orders. I'll take personal checks if need be but you're gonna have to wait until it clears before I ship out the pipes/clamps. 250 SHIPPED
  17. I like how the black and purple came out a few years ago. My next bikes gonna be black frame, yellow fenders, black gas tank shroud, (lower portion of the tank) and a yellow tank cover. Black rims, black extended swinger, yellow hubs. My two favorite bikes on here though are Jasons Banshee (blue) and Rippens'.
  18. Buy another 33, intake and get the Toomeys.
  19. Great night of fighting. I agree with Dave in regards to Lesnar. POS. Lesnar was a NCAA D1 wrestling champ from Minnisota. My oldest son was recruited by Minn for wrestling and we met the entire coaching staff there, Great bunch of people and all said Brock was an outstanding kid. Didnt show it tonight. I went absolutely bonkers when Hendo knocked Bisbing the fuck out. Fuck that dickbag. All in all a good night of fights.
  20. X2 here as well Dave. I run Jeffs clutches on my 2 ported bikes with the e-z pull clutch lever and a new cable. Works great. Its been several seasons as well, no slipping yet.
  21. For reference I run 320 mains, 27.5 pilots on a stock 99 with T-5's at sea level. Keep your TORS unplugged and unplug your parking brake. That will f-up next.
