  1. I DONT BELIEVE IT!!!!! I would if I had positive proof. Perhaps a pic of your girl holding said paper towel. J/K I do really crazy stupid shit too. When I figure out what I did i am usually truly amazed I have lived as long as I have, being that I am a moron and all.
  2. Hot dang ! Nice bike and an awesome price! You found THE site for a lotta things Banshee owners are involved in. Not only Banshees but just about anything in between. Awesome group of dudes here, Welcome.
  3. You found yourself a badass bike. Oh, and cut your fingernails.
  4. Thanks so far. Have the reed gaskets, forgot about the base gaskets. Good thought with the impellar, def. gonna add that. Gotta get a flywheel puller as well. As far as the TORS goes its been disconnected for years I actually like the thumb screws to help sync the carbs. Looking into porting my boost bottle unless someone has one available here thats been ported.
  5. Doing my youngest sons '99 top end and some updates. Stock stroke with T-5's, cool head with 20's and VF2's. Parts list to date-pistons (weiscos), bore cylinders, new V-force 2 reed pedals, magnetic drain plug, advanced timing plate, lightend flywheel, case saver, e-z pull clutch and perch (already have a FAST clutch setup), e-brake block off, new O-ring kit for cool head, moded shift star, packing for the T-5's. Thats what I have for now. Its not gonna get ported, has stock carbs with pods and I'm not eliminating the TORS. Anything I'm missing?
  6. how many screen names do you have? WTF?
  7. My oldest son was recruited by Minnesota for wrestling after his senior year in HS in 2007 (Lesnar won the NCAA Div. I title at Minnesota). At the time Minny was ranked first in the nation for rasslin. They flew us in, picked us up, whined and dined us and they were a really a great bunch of dudes. In speaking with Marty Morgan (assistant coach), who was the heir apparent to J. Rob (head coach and legend in the sport of College wrestling) at Minnesota Morgan and all of the coaches for that matter spoke very highly of Mr. Lesnar This was when he was still in the WWE. Marty Morgan wound up leaving Minnestoa to train Lesnar for his debut in the UFC. That speaks volumes of the dude Lesnar is. I cant help but think that all the hype bulshit just flowed out of Lesnar when he won that match with Mir. Dont get me wrong, I thought Lesnar looked liked a complete douche after that win, but that kinda shit just kinda flows sometimes. On a side note when we were waiting at Newark airport we ran into Tito Ortiz who too as flying to Minnesota. Mr. Ortiz spotted Luke (my kid) with a wrestling sweatshirt on and asked him about it. When Luke told him he was being recruited by Minny, ranked first at the time they had a half hour conversation. Tito was a really cool dude. And friggin HUGE.
  8. I have some 21cc domes and some ssts with power core II's. Whatchya got?
  9. I run Bel Ray 80w in my shee and run ATF in the boys' 2 shees. The owners manual actually calls for I think 10W30, maybe 10w40. Gonna switch over next season and see how it goes.
  10. If you need a matching case get ahold of NYUK. John has everything you need, X2.
  11. I'll be watching. Didnt know the card was as good as it is. Interested to see Mayhem fight. That dude cracks me the fu** up on bully beat down. Watching the replay of the Lidell vs. Silva fight now.
  12. This was when we had the pro design plate and a single foam filter. Stock bore. The bike was jetted spot on then. Ran hard as hell. I agree with Dajogejr about the electrical issue though. When I first put the Toomeys on it acted very similar to what you're describing and it was the TORS. Acted up again a short time after that, again acting similar, we unplugged the parking brake and it was fixed.
  13. Ummmmm What? Yeah, powerbands and boost bottles. Riiiight. 6 G's? Bet this kid isn't even remotely spoiled. Since the Bike is in Ny maybe Skip can let the "Banshee dude" mod it out for him before its shipped to Cali.
  14. I've been wanting to try some Shearers. I have 2 bikes with CPI's. If you wanna swap CPI for Shearer straight up let me know.
  15. With the box with no lid on our 99 and T-5's we ran 330 mains, 30 pilots, dont remember clip postion. Check and make sure the parking brake is disconnected. Also check that the tube connecting the 2 carbs is connected, free of blockage and no holes.
  16. Of the three shees that I have 2 are ported with CPIs and 1 is not ported with T-5's. The T-5's sound the best, pull like a freight train all the way through and will respond well to porting. If I were building a bike I would buy the T-5's, get decent carbon fiber reeds, advance the timing, get a cool head and up the compresson with smaller domes. HUGE differfence. When you can afford porting get that done and probably some bigger carbs to suit your porting and most likely your T-5s will work well. If not and you keep the T-5's in good shape sell them and get CPI's or Shearers. Just my .02.
  17. X2 on the T-5's. Great pipe on stock thru ported machines.
  18. They're reed SPACERS. Put em before the reeds. I have a set on the 01 to clear the 33's.
  19. I personally have no problems with any of my shees, other than the fact that none of them are fast enough or shiny enough. I doubt they ever will be. Good luck.
  20. Real nice looking bike. You've come to the right place. Best site on the net.
  21. Go to http://www.bansheedude.com and enjoy ultimate meathead mania. From spelling and gramatical errors to the awesome "riding pics". Beyond description. Have at it.
  22. The easiest way to determine if you need to run race fuel is to check your compression. On our red 99 which is stock except for your common bolt ons, i.e. cool head with 20's, t-5's, and v-force the compression is right about 180lbs. We've run super from the pump for the last 4 seasons with absolutely 0 problems. I'm just gonna do the top end this fall and advance the timing and a few other little things wheras next season we're probably gonna run 3 gallons of race and 2 gallons of super @ 40:1 with yama-lube.
