  1. stock is 14 front and 41 back. If you want a quicker start but sacrifice some top end go down 1 tooth on the front, if you want more top end and sacrirfice some off of the start go wup one tooth in the front.
  2. Post the link, lets get together for a few.
  3. Yup, Clymers is key. Its still a pain in the ass Led, u gotta admit. I dont know what it is, it doesn't take long it just sux.
  4. I dont think the V-force is worth the 200 bucks I shelled out. Now dont get me wrong, they made a difference, but not a 200 dollar difference, IMHO. I would get the engine ported and port your current reed cages and get some TDR reeds.
  5. Both nipples on both slides have to hit both windows at the same time. You do this by adjusting the LEFT carb until the slide hits the window the same time as the right carb slide. Lincster was right, you adjust the slides by the two nuts on top of the carbs. The outer nut is a lock nut and the inner is the actual adjustment. The TORS thumb screws just adjust the slide height. I adjust the height by sight with the TORS screws and fine tune it with the aforementioned method with the sight windows. Its not really hard just a pain in the ass sometimes.
  6. I dont think the V-Frorce is worth the money. Port your cages and throw a good reed in. Just as good.
  7. I have heard, although I may be wrong that the thunder pipes are alot like the T-5's. If I had the money and the choice I would go with the CPI's.
  8. Hey NYUK, clean underwear? If you (or me for that matter) get in a "prediciment" (sp?) dont you think you're gonna shit yourself anyway?
  9. Welcome to "our" hell Aaron. It'll never be shiny enough or fast enouth. Trust me.
  10. e-bay. Type in banshee carbs. Quite a few on there as we speak.
  11. All right, I think I have narrowed it down to the two. I have read the Trinity pistons are actually Wisecos that are modified by Trinity (like the Vitos) and last longer and perform better than Vitos. Anyone have any experience with the Trinity pistons? Thanx.
  12. Alright, let me see if I have this right. Vitos super stock are for a stock to mildly ported motor. Vitos power pistons are for a ported motor. Weisco makes Vitos' pistons and their pro lite series are a very big seller. Namura seems like a good buy and give you almost as much of a power increase as the vitos but at a considerably lower price. 149 bucks compared to 220 bucks to be exact. My next question is cast vs. forged. Cast is somewhat cheaper but forged seem to last longer. Forged need to be warmed up longer than cast. Now that I have it all straight, I am leaning towards the Vitos forged super stock kit on my stock bike this winter. Sound about right? Thanx.
  13. Sounds more like a shit storm to me.
  14. which is the best for a stock motor? Doing a re-build this winter.
  15. I'm gonna jump in here Cool, if you dont mind. Which is better, cast or forged?
  16. man, I feel your pain, been there done that. The absolute worst thing to do on a boat is to sit inside of the cabin while its bouncing around in the waves. The only way to get your equilibrium (sp?) back to to jump in the drink and float around for a bit. It helps.
  17. 21, I didnt get my shee until I was 34. It just keeps getting better. If you sell it you'll be sorry come next summer, I gurantee it.
  18. Bud, thats quite a shee your getting. Sounds like an outstanding trade, if its in good shape. Why is he so willing to trade that animal for the Honda? What mods are on the Honda? If they are both in good shape, you made a very wise decision, you will not regret it. As far as maitenance goes its a piece of cake for the Shee. Change the oil, plugs and antifreeze when you get it and clean and sync the carbs and you should be good to go. I am still on my stock topend on my 99 that I bought new and it still runs really strong. Only issue I had was the axle bearings and that took me a few hours. Not a big deal. Good luck.
  19. unplug your parking brake as well. Just follow the wire from the bars to under the tank and unplug it.
  20. dont plug them up. Go to Napa or an auto store and just get longer tubes.
  21. Scott, nice site. Well done. I like charts and comparasions like your pipe page with the different mods and their estimated HP improvement.
