  1. Yup, as usual a great time in there last night. Sat back, had a few brews, a cigar and shot the shit for an hour or so. Great job FixitRod, thanx for the link. Just goes to show why this site is so freaking outstanding, a great group of people. Hopefully talk to you all soon. Bob
  2. Advise the buyer. If no response contact e-bay. Did you use pay pal? If so contact them as well. I had a similar experience but with a much less expensive item and contacted these two and my money was credited back to my account.
  3. Will do Willy. Thanks for the compliments on the boy. He works hard at it. Let me know how the Passion port work is, sounds like its gonna be an awesome quad. We'll be up and running in the spring and give you a call. Talk to you soon. Tell the family I said hi.
  4. I think the season is over for me now Reas. Lotsa stuff on my plate in the winters. You get your bike up and running? I see you want to get rid of your Toomeys. What you gonna get, some CPI's for your port work? Quadrslife, dont worry 'bout my shee, worry about makin weight. Good luck kid. Let me know when those CPI's come in.
  5. Jack asses that drive in the left lane on the parkway/turnpike at a leisurely 40 miles per hour with their left blinker on while yapping on the cell phone.
  6. I just got home from picking up another Banshee! Its a 94, black plastic, purple frame. Shaved front fenders. Drag port, cases matched. Bored 40 over. Wiseco modified pro lites, 33 carbs. Cool head with 17cc domes. Crank trued and welded. Durablue +3 rear axle, Extended front A-arms, works shocks, CPI inframes. Motor just rebuilt over the summer. Real nice machine. Gave the one listed in my signitaure to my son. Lucky kid.
  7. Yup, I would say Blaster as well. I just gave my oldest son my Banshee and bought another Banshee for myself. His Blaster is up for sale if interested. Its a 2001, black and white, Toomey pipe, v-force reed and oil injector block off kit. Great little quad.
  8. I would guess each size you go up on the domes will bring your compression down by about 15 lbs. I wouldnt run much over 170 and with this I would run straight race gas just to be on the safe side. For comparasions sake I have a stock bore/port motor and with 20cc domes I have 169 lbs of compression. I run 3 gallons of race a 2 gallons of super and no problems.
  9. I had them, took them off, rode and put em back on. I can honestly say it did hit harder without them. Not a huge hit but a somewhat noticable difference. I have kept them off, same with my boost bottle. I didnt notice ANY difference with or without the bottle and opted to take it off because it kept working its way out of the boots for the intake and I was concerened the motor would some some sand/dirt.
  10. This is the order I would do it if and when I do it all over again; 1.Better air filter set up, Toomey 2 into 1 or pro design plate with K & N or foam filter 2. Pipes, this choice is completely up to you and your style of riding. Toomey or CPI for dunes and dragging, FMF fattys or Pro CIrcuit for good all around performance. FMF gnarlies for for woods/trails. This debate is in here a million times. ANY pipe you get will be a major improvement. Remember with new pipes and air filters you need to jet way up. 3. Better rear tires. Now that you have tons of more power the stockers just will spin. 4. Cool head of some type with 20-21 domes to up your compression. Try to stick with a head where you dont have to change out the studs. Of course these are just a few suggestions and all of these can be done in the garage by you, except mounting the tires, and shouldnt add up to over $1200.00-$1500.00. Also be advised if you wanted to go all out you can just have it ported/polished, crank welded with new pipes and an air filter with the cool head and just be done with it. If you go this route tack on another $400.00-$800.00 depending on who you use to port your motor and weld your crank.
  11. 1. Check the compression 2.Check the rear bearings, (shake the rear axle) there should be very miminal play 3. Check the front tie rods, (shake the front tires) see above 4. Check the sprockets for worn or missing teeth 5. Check the chain for excesive abuse/use 6. Check the brake lining thickness and the condition of the rotors. Looks like a great bike. If these things check out jump on it!
  12. Well, I am selling these quads to get, you guessed it, another Banshee. The Blaster is a 2001, black and white with a Toomey pipe, V-force reeds and oil injection block off plate. Better than new. The Trail Blazer is a 1998, all stock. I just dumped a grand into the Tranny so that is brand new and the engine has 140 pounds of compression, which is like brand new as well. I am looking to get $2200.00 for the Blaster and $2000.00 for the Trail Blazer. Thanx.
  13. Try tightening (sp?) the axle nuts first. If this dosent work you have to throw in new axle bearings. Not a real big job, just a little time consuming.
  14. Alright I'm bumping this. Anyone have any experience with this kit yet?
  15. My current shee is not ported or polished but the few mods that I do have make it very fast. I beat most of the other shees in the area in play drags and whatnot. My friend has his ported and polished with modified wiescos, 33 carbs, trued and welded crank, 16 tooth front sprocket and he walks by me every time, gets me by about 3 or 4 bikes, sometimes more by the time we are done dragging. Now the good news, I just bought that shee. So to answer your question, do you remember the performance gain you noticed when you first rode your shee with the pipes? Thats the same increase you will notice with your bike ported and polished. I would recommend that while you are getting it ported and polished get the crank welded as well.
  16. Hey Banshee/Blaster, have you unpluged your TORS and your parking brake? If not than that is, without a doubt your problem.
  17. Keep the rear the same. If you gear up in the front and down in the back you just defeated the purpose of it all.
  18. Hmmm, when is the last time that fella washed his balls?
  19. Whats your elevation and compression? Anything above 170 lbs. or so you have to run race gas. I was at 169 and ran 3 gallons of race and 2 gallons of super.
  20. Great buy. They are 5999 new before tax.
  21. What can I get for each? THe 2001 Blaster has the Toomey B-1 pipe and jet kit, V-force and oil injector block off kit, its white and black and looks almost new. The Trail Blazer is all stock, not ridden much and looks real good. Tires on both machines are at about 90% tread as well. Just wanna see some numbers. Thanx.
  22. Ever see the movie "The shining" The one with Jack Nicholson, not the new remake. Buy the thing with the tank treads that they wanted to take away from that lodge they were in. That should do pretty good in the snow, I'm thinkin. Man your questions just keep gettin better.
  23. Anyone? Anyone? Buhler? Buhler? lets get a few in here tonite.
  24. I've got 22's brand spankin new if your interested.
