  1. Look to lower your needle a notch, raise the clip. I have a ported shee as well and threw on some V-Force, sputtered in the middle, raised the clip 1 notch and the thing friggin flys!! Good improvement for a ported motor.
  2. I tried the boost bottle on and off my sons 99, runs better with it off. Someone in here actually did a compairasion and found the stock tube performed better than the boost bottle. Not sure who it was, maybe Banchetta. Do a search.
  3. What loco said. I use 32:1 as well, and use motuls in my 94 and yamalube in the 99. Remember, some shees are just faster than other ones, from the factory. It's just the way it is. I have a friend we ride with, he has a 2000 or 2001 I think, bought the one you see at the dealer already done up. Has pro circuits, milled head and V-Force, always ran real fast. He does absolutely 0 maitenance it, never changes crank oil, doesnt grease it up, mixes the oil and fuel IN THE TANK, BY EYE!! never a problem, not one. . The thing is it still runs, and runs great. I know if I poured some oil in the tank, then fuel just once my shee would friggin explode, with me on it! AND FURTHER MORE, IT .................., ok, ok, whew, better now.
  4. bought mine new in 99, gave it to my oldest son. Bought the 94 from a good friend. I would buy used if you know what you are looking for and have some extra cheddar to spend on stuff that breaks and updrades.
  5. Maybe. I gave my son my original shee with the Toomeys and bought the one with the CPI's. Both good pipes, CPI better for ported motors.
  6. Hey Will, you got that Passion motor in anything yet? Luke and my shees are up and running, maybe we can hook up this weekend.
  7. CPI's are outstanding. I have em and wouldnt trade em. Nice pipe. SOund great too.
  8. sync your carbs. That sounds like the problem.
  9. We run a stock rear on my sons 99 and up one to a 15 on the front for more top end speed. On my 94 I run stock rear and a 17 on the front. Go down a tooth to a 13 for trail/woods/MX riding.
  10. This is what I did to my 99 and in what order. I dont think I would change it. 1. Air Filter 2. Pipes 3. rear tires 4. increase compression, cool head w/smaller domes 5. Better reeds, i.e. V-Force. or port your own cages and run some carbon fiber reeds. 6. Give it to your son and buy a shee thats done. i.e. ported/polished, the works. Alot of people in here would add suspension upgrades at about the #3 or #4 mark of my list. I have wider a-arms in the front and a wider axle in the rear of my current shee as well as werks shocks up front, they make a hell of a difference, but I went with speed on the 99 first.
  11. Sounds like an electrical problem Willy. If it starts and dies out and you can restart it, that would be a pilot jet issue. It starts when cold and then when it gets hot it dies out and then you cant restart it? Sounds electrical.
  12. Actually it was the last plate that rests in the basket. It broke in a million pieces. As far as up and running, I dont know as of yet, I just got the motor, carbs, etc. in, while enjoying the champagne of beers , took a shower and came in here. Gonna try to fire her up tomorrow. As far as fastest, its gonna be me, if not I'll just take some shit off of his.
  13. I blew the crank seal on the throttle side because the freaking clutch on the 99 shattered and sent shrapnel throughout and tore the seal. Pisses me off because I JUST got a clutch the day before the seal went and was planing on installing it last week. Oh well, got it bored, new pistons, of course did the seal and did some odds and ends for my sons 99. It should last a few more now.
  14. I ran yamalube in my 99 since I bought her new. No problems what so ever. Ran 32-1 and am JUST rebuilding the top end now, 5 years of riding later.
  15. I'm in the process of putting my sons shee back together, just replaced the crank seal and had the top end done and threw new pro lites in. I took the carbs off and cleaned them up real good. Before the rebuild the choke would not stay out, just slid right back in after you pulled it out. Same problem, I took the choke out of the carb, sprayed the crap out of it, still isnt working. Any suggestions?
  16. Thanx. To lean out the needles, clip closer to the blunt end or closer to the pointy end. Thanx.
  17. Now its missing in the middle and not ideling without bliping the throttle. Needle adjustment after the V-Force? Different pilot? I have 160 mains in them now and its 80-90 degrees at sea level. When I put the V-Force in my 99, I didnt have to mess with the needle at all.
  18. If I'm not mistaken Trinity pipes and T-5's are basically the same pipe. I would recommend, based on your type of riding, go with T-5's, Rockets or CPI's. CPI's and T-5's perform well on a stock motor but CPI outshines T-5's on a ported motor. Minkia can tell you more about the Rockets. They certainly look great, and everyone in here that has them love em. You cant go wrong with any of the three.
  19. Is there a certain height they have to be when at bottom?
  20. I'm pretty sure Wiseco makes em both. They mod them to their specs.
  21. Ok, I posted last week of my problem with my 99 shee. I started it up and crank oil was coming from the exhaust clamp on the throttle side and dripping on the engine. Then I pulled the carbs and there is crank oil in both carbs. I went ahead and pulled the jugs, they were both in great shape as were the pistons, I was surprised as this is the stock top end. I then pulled the motor and its sitting on my workbench. I'm gonna split the case today and order up the seals and gaskets I need tomorrow. Is there anything else this MAY be before I split the case in a few hours? Anything I can double check before I split this thing? Thanx.
  22. Good bye to a thug. Mugging old ladies, punching them in the face, knocking thier teeth out for their social security checks when he was a teen and mugging people after he became the heavyweight champion just for kicks. If it wasnt for boxing he would be in jail for life or dead. He had the world by the balls, such a huge natural talent and it looked like Cus D'amato had squared him away. He threw alot away. Good riddents.
  23. Hey thanks Will. What with the Banshee graveyard behind your house I'm sure we can find enough parts to build a half dozen shees. Just kidding. Thanx for the offer and I'll take you up on it. I'm gonna rip it down this weekend and take the jugs to get them bored. I'll give you a holler if and when I run into trouble. MGD's? Nah, you gotta step up to the High Life my friend. Miller High Life, old but still outstanding.
