  1. If it was a crank seal it would smoke all the time. Being that you have 1 carb and it smokes more out of one pipe than the other that eliminates synching the carbs. Did it always do this? Some bikes just typically smoke more out of one pipe than the other. Also, its normal for the smoke to clear when its warmed up.
  2. I would guess, if you are on the stock top end, and you still have good compression, with the cool head and the smaller domes and increase in compression your top end will last a season. I would just do the top end now and get it over with.
  3. Sredish, you make perfect sense with performance aspect of the 1 carb set up and I thought like you, the guy with the 1 carb and 1 pipe was set up for the woods. I run 17/41 and I'm pretty sure he had the stock gearing. I was right with him off of the line, which I fully expected to be in the dust with my gearing and his set up/gearing. As soon as I hit 4th, (I started in second) I was gone, everytime. I'm thinking he should have smoked me off the line, which he didnt. Was his bike performing well? He said it was, new a port and pistons. Was he a good rider? I have no idea. Just giving my experience.
  4. I'm with you loco. I have dual 33's and raced a shee with a single 35. We were both ported and polished, he had a dynoport 2 into 1 pipe and I have the CPI's. Wasnt even close. 5-6 bikes everytime, I smoked him. My sons 99, with the stuff listed below, basic bolt ons, is much closer to me than he was, probably 2-3 bikes. We couldnt run the 99 that day though, clutch cable problems. I'm confident he would have smoked him though. 2 is better than 1.
  5. I dragged a guy a few weeks ago that was running a Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe, ported and polished with a single carb set up . He was telling my son Luke his bike was wicked fast and wanted to know if any fast shees were around. So Luke comes back and tells me and we had at it. Now, his bike sounded sweet, like a nascar. Problem was I smoked him by at least 6 bikes everytime. , but it sure sounded sweet.
  6. I have the CPI's and they look, sound and perform awesome. They come with their own silencers and the fit and finish is great. If your bike is ported these are the pipes for you. If not they still run real great.
  7. Ok, so tell me, what did you type in to find a monkey suit with a cock and balls? J/K, pretty funny.
  8. If its slipping it could just need to be adjusted too. But if it is shot, replace it asap. I didnt replace the clutch on the 99 when it started slipping. Eventually one of the clutch plates shattered and ripped the crank seal. It started puking crank oil out of the throttle side pipe. Had to split the cases, the works.
  9. Like Sredish said. Coolhead w/20 domes, timing advance, lightened flywheel, then I would think about some new rear tires and if you have anything left over some V-Force. You'll be happy with the performance after that.
  10. Umm, what language is this and what exactly are you trying to say? My guess is low grade mongolian with a touch of dickisinya. What a J/O.
  11. Wallet? What wallet? Welcome, the best website out there for just about anything. Banshees, lawn mower repair, washer/dryer repair, anything. Have fun and have at the search function.
  12. Get the dune port/ CPI's and larger carbs. Dont skimp on the air filter either, twins are good so is the Toomey 2 into 1, makes it easier to jet.
  13. Man, 19. 20 years ago for me. I'm STILL paying for some of the crazy shit I did then, my body sounds like a bag of bones when I stumble around. Have a great day, you're almost not a teenager anymore.
  14. I gotta say, and I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I really like the red 99 colors. I know, I know, my buds used to ask if I got a discount with it when I bought it with those colors , but I think they look awesome, except for the fugly gold rims. And that freaking shee was always just plain fast. Came that way. So they REALLY liked it when I smoked their shit with just some bolt ons. Other than that year the 2004 LE looks THE best of all years, I think. Add some chrome, polish some stuff and that is one outstanding looking bike. Nice avatar Slayer, KISS is, was and always will be great.
  15. Damn thats some funny shit. Well done Holy. My dog comes in here to see WTF I'm laughing at. Pretty funny.
  16. I just did the crank seals on the 99 about a month ago. If the pipe smells like burnt oil (shit) then you have a blown crank seal. How is you clutch? Is it slipping? Not grabbing? If it is my guess is one of the plates shattered and ripped the seal.
  17. Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. Check the boots around your carbs for any small holes or rips. Spray some carb cleaner on the base of your motor, head, carbs etc. If it revs, you have an air leak.
  18. If you're not gonna have it ported I would just stick with the stock carbs. I agree with Nater on the cool head, timing advance and lightned flywheel. You may want to get some new rear tires, then some V-Force and you should be good to go for awhile.
  19. If it was your crank seals you would be blowing crank oil out of one of your pipes.
  20. Forget the carbs for now. If you get her ported chances are youre gonna want bigger carbs than 28's. As far as V-Force, I have them on my two shees and a Blaster, work great. If I were you though I would put the V-Force on hold for now, unless you have the cash, and get 20cc domes, timing plate to advance your timing, lighten your flywheel and some good rear tires. All these should roughly add up to a set of V-Force.
  21. You are worth exactly $2,367,390.00. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, so how exactly do I cash in?
