  5. I have a shee with each, air box and one with dual K & N pods. The one with the air box I run the foam filter with the pro design plate. Its harder to jet because of the air box but I feel safe around the water. I think the ideal set up, although I dont have it, is the Toomey 2 into 1. You can remove the filter assembly easily for jetting and it sits so as water probably wont bother it. Also it depends on what carbs you're running, stock carbs stick with the air box or Toomey, bigger carbs I think you almost have to go with pods.
  6. On my 94 if it has been sitting for a bit the brakes are really spongy. I'm thinking I have to bleed the system. Is it basically the same as a car? Basically the front res. is for the front brakes and the rear for the rear brake. I must have an air leak somewhere, I dont see fluid anywhere under the shee but the brakes do get fucked up after a sitting period.
  7. If you're already complaining about your Z-400, that leads me to believe that you will be back. Maybe not now or tomorrow, maybe even not next month, but the first time you ride a friends shee and really start to miss it, you'll be back. In the meantime welcome back to the boards.
  8. I typically let her warm up five minutes or so anyway, regardless of the temp. Better 5 minutes now than a weekend of torture by not riding AND doing your top end, because you didnt let her warm up properly. Whats 5 minutes anyway?
  9. Why polish yours? They look great. J/K. Polish em up, port em up and have at it.
  10. CPI's, T-5's or Rockets. You dont plan on any engine work, YET. Believe me, when you bore it you'll port it and the aforementioned pipes will hold up well.
  11. you'll win. Those 650's are pretty quick though. Get a good rev going and smoke his ass on the line.
  12. I know I'm probably in the minority here but I would just keep the Tors and unplug em. It makes it easier to get your idle squared away and adjusting your slides' height is easier as well.
  13. Our dog "Sammy" died on our kitchen floor last December, a week before Christmas, in front of my kids. She was only 4 and was an awesome girl. I know what you are going through. You just have to go through it. This is her about 2 weeks before she died. My advise is after a brief time get another. Helps alot. My new male Lab. He is dumber than a box of DUMB hammers but a great dog. Not a mean bone in his body.
  14. Silencers look great. How do you repack them? Did I see allen head bolts or rivets?
  15. I run Razrs on both my shees and like them. They hook up well in everything. Also I really like the look of your shee. Are those stock plastics that are cut and painted? Looks real nice.
  16. 3 or 4 years ago I used to roll around with/work out with Jenzo Gracie. Pretty sure they're brothers. He is a world champ as well, really bad dude, but the nicest guy you wanna meet. Could kill you as fast as look at you. Taught me alot of great technique but I got too old and shit on me started to break and hurt a real lot Gave it up, now just fall off the shee.
  17. Many many variables, whats your compression? Mods? Carbs in Sync? This has been done over and over again. Use the search button. If you cant find it there someone will give you a hand, no doubt.
  18. If its ported and you are looking for a top end pipe go with CPI's. T-5's are good, no doubt, CPI's are better though, IMHO. Fattys are a good pipe too, I rode a ported shee with Fattys and they were no doubt smooth, however I personally like the "hit" of the CPI's and Toomeys. Nothing like it, make you KNOW you're going fast, fatties kinda lull you there because the power is so smooth.
  19. Going to a UFC contest Friday night in A.C. Pretty stoked. Should be a fun time. Just wondering if anybody watches it. I have since it began, as a matter of fact I wrestled in college with a dude that was in one of the first 10 UFC's.
  20. Sounds great. Guess I have to go out and get some street tires for next season. Better yet have em throw down a strip of dirt, guranteed big crowd.
  21. CPI's. They work great on a stock bike and awesome on a ported machine.
  22. Barnett makes a good clutch. Just put one in the 99, grabs nice. Used 3 Barnett springs and 3 stock springs.
  23. Porting is you next best bang for the buck, after that bigger carbs and V-Force.
