  1. "Pinko" Thats an oldie but a goodie. Brings me back to Archie Bunker, callin meathead a pinko commie. Pretty funny Brooke.
  2. I'm trying to get my sons' friends' YZ 85 running. Starting to drive me crazy. Pulled the carb off, cleaned it really good, took out the reed cage and cleaned and flipped the pedals, cleaned and re-oiled the filter. It has spark and is getting fuel. My guess at this point is the top end needs to be rebuilt. Anybody know what the stock compression on one of these bikes is? Thanks.
  3. With the manifolds? Sounds good. Lemme know about shipping. We have "flatbillers" lurking around here as well, I just cant figure out how they can actually get tats on their skinny ass 9" upper arms without the needle going clean through their pasty skin.
  4. Its an unbelievable situation over there I would imagine. Whats worse is the shit-ums seem to be thriving. Free handouts for many years at its best. Let it rot.
  5. I dont know, but I think a purple frame with shiny black plastics would fit the bill just about right.
  6. what to you want for the stock cross over tube and manifolds? Shipping to 08050? Oh, and WTF is a "flatbiller"?
  7. Yup, used to play all the time a few years ago as well. I was pretty much middle of the road, won some, lost some. Great game though.
  8. 3.15 for regular here by the Joisey shore.
  9. See, now thats funny. You just got cock blocked on YOUR post.
  10. Where did you purchase these cubs? Website? Price? DO they bolt right on? Pistons? Carbs? Yada yada yada. I just need some info, gettin worked up. Thanx.
  11. You really cant go wrong with T-5's. A friend I used to ride with had pro circuits and they were really great pipes, T-5's just a tad bit better in my opinion. Also T-5's respond very well to porting, unknown as far as pro circuits go. A great and easy package you can square away yourself is T-5's, up a tooth on the front sprocket to a 15, lighten your flywheel ,advance your timing, cool head with 20cc domes and your good to go, until you start to get spanked by ported bikes, thats when the big bucks start flying outta your wallet.
  12. sputtering in the middle, idles great, 310 mains, T-5's,stock air box with the pro design intake plate, no lid with foam filter, just picked up another shee and trying to get it dialed in. Up or down on the needle? Thanks.
  13. Keep going up on the mains till it bogs at WOT (wide open throttle) then come down a size. For example if its good with 280's, 290's and bogs at WOT with 300's then go back down to the 290's.
  14. Did you clean your carbs when you had them off? I would just tap the carbs lightly with a hammer, that outta unstick any glop that may have accumulated in there.
  15. I'm running 320's, Toomey needles 4 down (I think, its been awhile since I messed with them), stock pilots, V-Force, air box with no lid and pro design foam filter at sea level. Runs perfect.
  16. try not to rip that shitty paper gasket before the reed blocks.
  17. Frontal crashes are only one aspect of crash safety. Most crashes are rear end collisions. The crown Vic is notorious for exploding into a fireball upon this type impact, due to the placement of the fuel tank. Quite often the collsion will pin the doors shut and you can only imagine the carnage. Get the best car you can for your money and stop worrying about things that are out of your control. Lets face it, when your numbers up, its up, thats it, nothing you can do about it. cheers
  18. You should be fine. Whats your compression? Its gonna feel like a completly different machine than it does now.
  19. dont bother getting new carbs until you figure out what kind of porting you are gonna get. Your stock carbs are perfect for your stock engine. Drop to 19 or 20cc domes, if needed run race fuel. Go up a tooth on your front sprocket, lighten your flywheel, mod your shift star, advance your timing and get some decent rear tires for the terrain your riding in. Thats about it till you get her ported, then when you do save enough money to get carbs to go along with it and you'll be good to go.
  20. check for any air leaks while your at it.
