  1. I have a good set of chrome FMF SST's, looking for some CPI's or Shearers. I'll throw in a few bucks as well. THey are in good shape, normal bluing around the head pipe,VERY light rust at the top of the pipes, will buff right off and it looks like something melted on the left side pipe, either a boot or some pants. Heres a recent pic.
  2. Well it all comes down to how you ride. If you drag your buds alot, or drag at a track alot, and do alot of duning I think the order would be CPI, Shearer and then T-5's. All around my CPI's perform very good on my ported shee. On the stock shee I have the T-5's and they are outstanding. T-5's sound the best though, IMHO.
  3. check the compression. COuld just be your carbs are out of sync.
  4. I just used white lithium grease, threw the o-rings in and greased em in place.
  5. 87-white/red 88-torquise/white? 93-purple/yellow 94-purple/yellow 95- 96- 97-red/yellow 98-grey/yellow 99-red/black 00- white/red 01-white/black (I think the front fenders were white, backs were black?) 02-white/black
  6. Hey, thanks for the help. I understand how and why to get the compression up, and the methods, I was just wondering if that compression was ok for a ported bike is all. Yup, kinda flew off the handle there, it happens. Apoligies. Oh, "big red", dont group me in with blow traxx, thanx.
  7. Nope I'm not a "pro" even though the boards deem me as such. Just a guy trying to get through, with alot of questions. Dont have the dough to have someone work on my shees. Tried to find the answer, couldnt. As for your smart-ass remark, GO FUCK YOURSELF!! But as it is, this will no doubt turn into you saying the same to me, so if you have no usefull answer, again I say FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!
  8. You could probably get away with 20's as well. 21's for sure.
  9. follow the parking brake wire from the bars and disconnnect that as well.
  10. Like I said, I have a ported motor with a stock head and have 135 pounds of compression in each cylinder. I know on a stock port this is perfect, I'm just not sure on a ported motor. Thanks.
  11. T-5's respond well to porting, if you are set on getting rid of em, I would suggest either Shearers or CPIs.
  12. THe Toomeys on the 99 are pretty blue at the base, the Cpis on the 94 dont have a touch of blue.
  13. Is this is a joke? If not I would imagine your cylinders are toast and you are needin a rebuild.
  14. Yup your right, you have no idea. Its all good though. My suggestion to you is oversleep alot now, and remember what it feels like to be well rested. When your baby arrives you wont be gettin alot of shut eye. Trust me. I have 3 kids, all 2 years apart, I'm just starting to catch up now and my youngest is 12. Anyway congrats.
  15. Well its on and it does work. I cant help but think its robbing me of some power. When I installed it the width of the actual disc was significantly(sp?) much less than that of the Barnett dirt digger that was on there. I would suggest just go with a upper end brand or even FAST on here. From what I hear his is the shit. Thats my next move, in a month or so.
  16. I've had the pleasure to acquire 2 Banshees from John in about 2 weeks or so. The trading was fast and furious, a couple little quads for a beat up quad that ran good, bought new plastics and Chrome Toomeys to put on the bike and traded all that back for the shee I just picked up tonight. John answered all calls, was straight forward and best of all is just a good guy. Thanks again John. You be da mang.
  17. Hey, thanks again John. I showed it to my son, its just plain bad-ass. Now my little guy moves up to the red shee and my oldest to this bike.. Cant wait to run it in 2 weekends to see how she performs.
  18. Yup, more noticible power with the head.
  19. I use it in all three of my shees. I use 4 caps per quart, so its about 8 caps full. I just buy ready mixed coolant from the stealership (usually made by POOlaris) and just add the water wetter. Works pretty good. I heard engine ice is good too, but it was 21 bux a gallon a few weeks ago when I drained the "new" 94 I picked up. Didnt have the dineros.
  20. Yup, I kinda figured it was the top end. Thanks for the heads up.
