  1. Well I put mine on yesterday..Had a bit of a problem though, which was completely my fault. Broke a friggin clutch spring bolt off in the clutch backing plate. I bought all new components from Jeff, clutch backing plate, pressure plate and e-z pull lever. I put my old backing plate back in and found a bolt and a washer to put in for now. Took it out last night for about half an hour. WOW! Its back to life. I didnt realize how much slipping I had. The bike sceams again. Gonna go out again today and see how she does.
  2. Hmmm, interesting. Show is staged? That sucks.
  3. 260's are way small. I run 320's at sea level with air box, lid removed. Jet up.
  4. OUTSTANDING! Thanks. Gonna try to find one tomorrow. I already have a lock washer, just no socket to fit that nut.
  5. Yup, its one of the big ones. I bought impact sockets up to 27mm and its bigger than that. SO I did spend some money, didnt get the socket I wanted and I'm not gonna get it done tonight. Oh well, at least I have new impact sockets for my new compressor. Not all bad. Thanks anyway. Gonna enjoy a few frosties.
  6. What size is the nut thats behind the pressure plate and that holds the clutch backing plate on? The one that is held on by the lock washer you bend around it. DOnt feel like buyin a bazillion friggin sockets.
  7. I would imagine with the price of the template, proper tools and the like, for a few bux more you can just have someone port it for you. Although I like the idea of porting my own shiat.
  8. I would suggest a really fast quad with no brakes.
  9. I'm in the majority here but I ran 24-1 with yami-lube for the first couple of tanks (3-4) and then 32-1 with yami-lube from then on. THe top end lasted me from when I got it new in 99 until last summer. I beat the shit out of it too.
  10. I agree with you on several points loco. They should race heads up, if one wants to spray then they both should. But they should have similar cars to race, i.e. stock, slightly moded, heavily moded and so forth. As far as the wussy type bickering, that to me is friggin hilarious. Gotta love bad blood. And for the fat ass to start shit and then get his car taken was just about as good as it gets. I'd have taken it and ran it into his car trailer and truck at about 80.
  11. WTF did I just watch, and why?!! Man I dont feel so good.
  12. Pretty good one last night. I liked how the little fat-ass was calling the other guys car "junk", took a look at it and asked for a 13 friggin car length head start. They had one on last month where they raced those racing type go carts, pretty good one too. Recently they had a Vega, covered in carpet smoke a Chevelle. Outstanding show. On Speedvision.
  13. Dont look ghetto at all. Look pretty good. How long did that take you to do? Wouldnt mind trying that myself on a set of cylinders I have laying around. You say its a top end type port? Perfect.
  14. You guys watch this show? Quite possibly the best show on the tube right now. You race for the other guys ride. Pretty simple. I just dont like when the guy that keeps loosin keeps asking for lengths (head start). Gotta check it out if you havent. 830/p on Wed nites.
  15. Call the State Police auto unit. Give them the vin you're looking at and they'll square you away.
  16. Pro Circuit makes a very good pipe for what you're looking for.
  17. Yeah, but I did like the one where you called someone a "commie pinko".
  18. Picked up a ported bike from NYUK. Real nice machine. When I got it the guy that had it before had 340 mains, 30 pilots, dyno-jet needles on the first clip-towards the blunt end. It has stock carbs, K & N pods and fmf ssts. It ran like dick. Over the past 3 weekends and countless hours I have come down to this -290 mains, 27.5 pilots and needle 2 down from the blunt end. It sounds way way small to me, 290's, but the plugs look pretty good, a nice tan color. Anything else I should look for? On my 99 with air-box, no lid stock port and carbs, pro-design foam I'm running 320's, stock pilots dynojet needle 3 down from blunt. I would think K & N's would require larger jets? I just dont wanna blow up the new bike. Any suggestions?
  19. I've got T-5's on the 99. Dont really wanna part with them. Shoot me a PM with a price for the Shearers.
  20. I ordered mine yesterday. Cant wait to get it and put it in. Oh yeah, I ordered the e-z pull lever too.
  21. I started with a stock 99 Banshee that I swore that I wouldnt dump ANY money into. Now I have 3 to drop boat loads of money into.
