Picked up a ported bike from NYUK. Real nice machine. When I got it the guy that had it before had 340 mains, 30 pilots, dyno-jet needles on the first clip-towards the blunt end. It has stock carbs, K & N pods and fmf ssts. It ran like dick. Over the past 3 weekends and countless hours I have come down to this -290 mains, 27.5 pilots and needle 2 down from the blunt end. It sounds way way small to me, 290's, but the plugs look pretty good, a nice tan color. Anything else I should look for? On my 99 with air-box, no lid stock port and carbs, pro-design foam I'm running 320's, stock pilots dynojet needle 3 down from blunt. I would think K & N's would require larger jets? I just dont wanna blow up the new bike. Any suggestions?
