I have 2 of Jeffs clutches. One in my shee and one in my oldest sons. Both ported machines. As a friggin matter of fact, my kids shee is now is beating me. Its all good though. Jeff is a good guy. Gotta have him freshen up my top end. Cant lose to your son, its never good.
Having a chandelear (sp?) hung. Going in my foyer which is a 2 story entry. Getting the winch installed so I an lower the thing and replace the bulbs and clean it. Its about 5 feet tall and the same around. Whats a reasonable price for installation?
Man I friggin hate spending money on this crap when I need a new trailer!!!
On my 99 I run T-5's, twin K & N's, outerwares, 340 mains, 27.5 pilots with the air screw 1 and a half turns out. I'm at sea level, 60-80 degrees. This should get you pretty close.
Just a little advise. Go with the clamp on k & N's. Pretty good power increase over the box. I've tried both, clamp ons are the way to go. Much easier to work on the carbs too. Just keep the box and hack the back off to hold your coolant bottle.
BenBB's jetting FAQ is outstanding. Search his name and read his FAQ. When your done read it again. Your mains and need clip position are off, this will tell you how to square it away.
A little help here. My sons 89 Toy 4X4s' gas gauge isnt working. I'm getting a little tired of running the gas can to him when he runs out of gas . Anybody put a new sending unit in one of these? Big job? Do I have to drop the gas tank? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx
Are all the new CPI pipes stamped now? I'm not really to sure I like the look. Mine arent stamped and they still look brand new. I want to get a set of CPI's or Shearers for my 02, just gotta decide which.
Put the Toomeys on first, then I assume you have the Toomey 2 into 1 air cleaner system. Put your needle in the middle, 320 mains, 1and a 1/2 turns out on your air screw. Look at your carb slides from the rear of the bike and use the thumb screws on the top of your carbs and get both slides the same height from the bottom. Put new plugs in and start tuning from there.
Agreed, 340 to big. When I had the box on my 99 with the T-5's I ran 310's with no lid. I'm just running 340's now with K & N's. May wanna at least pick up a set of 27.5 pilots and try both the 25's and 27.5's and see which is better for you at the bottom of the rev.
Damn that motor look nice. You must have a protein stained garage floor by now with that motor, swingarm and a few other things laying around, waiting to be installled. NICE!!!
Thinking about coming down Saturday with the boys and Jack. Dont know how many more trips my piece of crap trailer can take. I'll call you tomorrow night and give you a definite. Gotta put a clutch in the grey Shee tomorrow too. Guess you found the air leak in the 4 mil. Outstanding.
