Your lookin at your shit, all bent up and what not. Remembering hitting your noggin on the ground. Pretty pissed off. Then after a week, 2 or maybe 3 you start thinkin about the dudes 4 strokes you smoked, how much fun you had. Then you'll formulate a plan to rebuild whats fucked up. You'll make it better handling, shit, haul more ass too. Lets face it, its not over. Rip them plastics off, take some pics and let us give you a hand.

Turn off your choke and hold the throttle wide open and kick the piss out of it. If its flooded it'll start.

F.A.S.T. Website...coming soon
Toomey Banshee replied to dajogejr's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Looking forward to the site as well Jeff. I would suggest prices on all of the items, from pegs to pipes to port work to Cheetahs, cubs and cranks. This way I, ahem, I mean we, can formulate some type of shopping plan. -
Well, was out Sunday with the boys at the local pit. Real good area to drag. Good spot to ride, some nice trails, pits and some jumps. Anyway, my oldest son starts draggin some guys on worked 450 Hondas and a YFZ. Hangin with them, winning some, losing some. Not bad, these guys have some real loot tied up in their engines, not to mention pipes etc. His bike is just play ported with 33's and SST's, stock head, pump gas. I see no need to race anyone, I smoke his quad and have not lost in there yet. BY FAR. So I'm cookin some dogs on the grill on the tail gate of my truck when the boy comes and asks to use my quad. No problem. Gonna show em a real good ass kicking I'm thinking at this point. (Man I'm an idiot) I keep cooking and watch. HE FRIGGIN LOSES! ON MY QUAD!!!! About 3 in a row. He parks it and says its not running right, takes his quad and goes on a trail ride with my youngest on their Banshees. Well I start stewing. I take my quad out in the drag area and rip about 10 runs off. Running pretty good I thought. My kid and the Hondas and YFZ come back, see me ripping around and we line up. I LOST EVERY DRAG!! Not bad but about a half of bike to a bike. I promptly take my POS over and fire my goggles on the ground, in private (I thought) and start packing up. My sons bud said he witnessed the melt down and and I told them both we shall never speak of it again. Just kidding. Well its over Johnny. Cub city. Been reading for a solid 2 straight days on Cheetahs, Cubs, stokers. The lot. I'm still pissed. And still reading. :ninja: *Quick note* I'm not an alky burining, slammed shee nor do I race them. I'm your typical ported, well maintained, properly set up shee with a decent rider. In 4 years I can count how many times I lost on this shee with 3 fingers, all to my brother in law.

Played some texas Hold em' last night
Toomey Banshee replied to Joshtruction's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I play cards with my buds a few times a year. Used to play alot more a few years ago. Always played quarter-fifty, meaning you open with a quarter and you can never bet more than fifty cents. That way you dont lose that much, if you lose, so it's not that big of a deal. Hell, I've lost almost every hand over four or five hours and still walked away only fifty bucks down. I usually do good till I start pounding the millers, shootin the shit, bustin balls, than I just screw up royally. Anyway that dude had the ass whoppin coming. No biggie, he'll get over it. -
Bike Is Driving Me Crazy With Problems
Toomey Banshee replied to Infamous039's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Check your throttle cable. With the bars turned to the right the cable is pushing into the carbs. I would make sure the cable is secured properly at the top of the carbs. Do you still have the TORS hooked up? You beat me to it Red. I would lay money down the throttle cable is loose on top of the carbs. -
Fix it for now, then down the road get a new Cylinder or cylinders off of flea bay, that way you'll tell the old lady you HAVE to get em ported when you get em bored. :baseball_whistle:

Parting out MX Shee lots of aftermarket
Toomey Banshee replied to lsr axis shee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I didnt see it listed, but do you have the seat for sale? -
On my three shees I have CPI's on a ported 94, T-5's on a stock 99 and SST's on a ported 02. THe SST's are my least favorite of the three. Not a bad pipe, I just like the way the T-5's and CPI's perform and sound better.

In looking at your mods I see you have reed spacers with stock carbs on the stock air filter. I would look at your carb boots real close to see if they have any holes/cracks. There is a lot of pressure on the boots with the stock carbs and reed spacers on the stock air box. I would take the spacers out and remove the boost bottle. Neither do anything performance wise. I had both and didnt notice any difference with both being on or off. I know the boost bottles will develop holes on the top caused by the cables rubbing on top over time. Is the boost bottle seated far enough into the top of the rubber manifolds? How do they look where the boost bottle is connected? My guess is you have an air leak somewhere. What about the rubber hose connecting the carbs? Did you check that out yet? Maybe a slight hole/crack. Is it secured properly on the carbs? As far as the hush kit is concerned I have no knowledge with that. Did you take it off and see if anything changes? I would take the spacers, boost bottle and hush kit off. Clean your carbs real good and then clean them again, then sync them, keep your 300 mains, 27.5 pilots, air screws at 1 and a half turns and needle in the middle. Go from there.

I bought 2 from Jeff. Good guy, good product.

2000 stock banshee, attempted rejet, need help
Toomey Banshee replied to Eddie's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Mods? Pipes, jets, mains and pilots? Why did you mess with it? How was it running? Temp where you live? Elevation? Buy a clymers repair manual, read the the jetting FAQ's in here and answer the questions I asked. We'll get you up and running. -
280-310 mains with pro flow adapter and no lid. If you dont run in much water go to the K & N dual clamp on's with about 340 mains, I did this on my youngest sons 99 that runs T-5s and noticed a pretty good power increase. Pilots should be 27.5's with air screw some where about 1 and half turns out, give or take a half turn. Did you disconnect your parking break circuit yet? If not then square that away asap. This should put you in the ball park. Did you do a compression test yet? Plug chop? Clean and sync your carbs? Needle sounds about right. Its all trial and error, good luck.

for sale or trade 404 shee
Toomey Banshee replied to flint's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
You're welcome. -
No puddles/mud go with: T-5's clamp on K & N's 340 main jets 27.5 pilot jets air screw 2 turns out Toomey needles (dynojet) third clip (middle) Puddles/mud go with: T-5s pro design filter plate for your air box foam filter no lid 310 mains 25-27.5 pilots air screw 1 1/2 turns out needle setting the same. 15/41 gearing. I ride mostly sand and drags with my buds, some trails. I currently run the top set up on my 99 but ran the below from about 2000 until this summer. Both work out real well. The gearing mentioned above should be good for you as well. Check out Magic racing or Rocky mountain atv for the pipes.

Outstanding job! This should be a sticky. Thanks.

Welcome to the addiction of owning multiple Banshees. You found the best site on the net for virtually anything. Hell, I've seen guys in here walk others through fixing their washing machines, dryers, pond installations, you name it. As far as the Shees, rip them carbs off, clean them real good, get a Clymer manual and write down everything in there when your bikes start running strong, i.e. needle clip postion, mains, pilots. As for dual carbs, once you get them dialed in and synced they're a snap to keep running good. If all your'e going to run is the dunes then get some porting, a few members here do outstanding work, F.A.S.T. and Passion racing come to mind. After the port go to 33-35 carbs with pod filters. After that skys the limit. Get a second job or work some overtime, Shees love you to dump money into them. Good luck. -
Kinda crowded there the last few weekends. My sons and I go there just about every weekend. Not a bad spot, gonna get shut down soon so they can build another office park and some houses though. Just what we need. :yankyank:
