  2. [Rant] Ahhhh, The People's Republikkk of New Jerksy strikes again. You probably wont find a state with more bleeding heart douche bags in the nation. Anything that might possibly be dangerous is or will be outlawed. And then people wonder why this state is slowly sliding down the shithole. [/Rant]
  3. I use a Mossberg 500 for my Banshee security. Best $250 Ive ever spent.
  4. Exactly, that stuff (as well as outboard oil, etc) is so cheap because it isnt refined as much. Ive never used it and dont know anyone that has, but for a few dollars I wouldnt take my chances with it. I know what oil works for my bike and Im sticking to it.
  5. Shore does sound like a jetting issue to me. Are your unning stock carbs? If so, what is your jetting in them, also a complete list of mods, as well as your airbox setup would help a lot in determining what jetting to run. As far as the clips on the needles, on stock carbs you want the needle on the middle clip, believe it is the thrid.
  6. Id say maybe 1500 if you fixed her up, maybe a G as it sits. There really arent any mods done. I can pick up running mostly stock bikes for 1200-1400 with a little looking out here in NJ. Out west, Cali, Arizona, etc is where these bikes see higher values.
  7. How did you manage to do a compression test while one cylinder was running?!?!?!?!?! You should take the plug out of the cylinder you testing, turn the bike off, and the gas off, screw in the compression tester, and kick it until the gauge stops going up. Depending on your elevation check out http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm and the chart about half way down tells you about what compression you should be at. 155 seems low for 19cc domes, but you can check on that page and make sure. Also, do your compression check again, the right way. Usually with 19cc domes your going to be on pump gas though.
  8. Lookin' good bro!!! I have been meaning to get out to Rousch Creek for a while now, but havent got a chance.
  9. Is it a K&N pod or is the K&N in a an air box? If it is in an air box, are you running a lid? This will make a huge difference when jetting. Post this info up and someone should be able to help you.
  10. Hmm, I cant beleive no one took a stab at this. I know its a little late, but what are you running for an intake? Pods, air box? That will make a huge difference in the jetting specs.
  11. You shouldnt have to change the jetting at all for a timing increase. It will make the bike run a tad hotter, and Ive heard people saying you might have to go up 1 size on the mains. But I never had any issues with keeping the same jetting and Ive done the plate on 3 bikes now.
  12. What kind of track are you talking about? An MX track is going to be really tough, probably not going to happen on a tiht budget.
  13. Congrats!! A Banshee is a hole different animal with the +2+1s. Next time I might put this in the product reviews section. A mod might be able to move it for you.
  14. Hey, what's up? Nice bike!! As far as the size, a smaller dome will raise your compression, a larger size will lower it. I think stock size is 22cc. You can find a chart of what your compression will be vs. altitude and dome size at nossmachine.com under Banshee Heads. A stocker is about 130 psi when on a fresh bore. This will drop over time. You can let it go down to about 105 before you should start thinking about a rebuild. My last one was at 100psi, but I wouldnt let it get that far. Octane Boost generally doesnt work. Your going to start having to use race gas if you decide you want to bump up the compression too much. Depending on your elevation 21cc is usually the limit for pump gas. After that your going to have to search some threads and see what octane people are running. Good luck, and keep that bike clean!! I like the yellow bikes.
  15. I believe the word your looking for is "bump" Bring Up My Post
  16. Dont want to lowball you, but if you get desperate to sell shoot me a PM.
  17. Thats a DAMN good deal, good luck on your sale!!!
  18. bansh e mans right, use the search, this question comes up about once a month. The verdict is that they are junk!! Spend a few extra $$ and get the wisecos.
  19. Bandits are heavy tires, I ran 22 inchers for a while, but never had issues. I would check the slime, and lug nots as posted. It's probably the lug nuts, but I never put slime in a tire so I wouldnt know how that affects it. Good luck...
  20. I run mod quad aluminum ones on both my bikes. I think the aluminum ones are stronger then the plastic ones. Cheap insuarnce either way, what you really want to do though is keep an eye on the chain and hope you never need the case saver.
  21. Whoa shit, then who woke up this thread? At least you got another Banshee, it's not as bad then.
  22. Who built the engine for you? Port jobs can be a little tricky to jet depending on who did the work. I would say your probably around a 320-340 main on stock carbs with either 27.5 pilots or 30 pilots. I know its not much help, but maybe someone else will chime in. Your builder would be able to give you the most accurate info though.
  23. 7 hp huh? I got 2 sitting in my shop Ill give you a good deal on my man.
