  1. You probably wont notice a huge difference with the reeds. But for dunes the VF3s will be a little better. You might notice a small amount of extra power, really it just makes the bike a little more peppy, it will accelerate a little easier, rev a little quicker up top. For trails, I would reccomend the Boyesen Rad valves, I've had them on all my dirt bikes, and just recently put a set on my Banshee. It seems like th ebike will rev a little quicker earlier on. But, like I said before, the difference is really minimal. Unless your all modded out there are better ways to spend the $200. I see you don't have the timing advance, for the $40 that costs youll notice a bigger difference then reeds. 200 pesos will also buy a good set of trail tires on aluminum rims too.
  2. If your racing professionally, the yfz will be the better choice. While a Banshee is way way more fun to ride, it will be a lot cheaper in the long run to make the yfz be a more competitive bike.
  3. True. I'd call up CPW, Carb Parts Warehouse, and ask them. The dude I talked to there and ordered them off of was very knowledgable. Im sure theyd be more then willing to help you out.
  4. I might grab some electrical tape or something too. On my leakdown tester I can never get the plugs to stay in the bike, even with 6 lbs, it always blows them out unless I rig them up somehow.
  5. Welcome brah!! Get some pics of that beast up, and start posting!!!!
  6. Hey, what's up dude? I got those needles from CPW, when I originally bought the carbs they had no needles. The dude at CPW told me they were the right needles for a Banshee (I'm not sure if he's right or not, but the bike ran fine with them). He also set me up on the jets and pilots, which I got close to being setup for my MXport motor with full airbox, and pipes. But I got tired of playing around with them. If you have any questions shoot me a PM.
  7. Bump for ya bro, hope you guys have a really good trip, I wouldnt be able to make it because of work and all, but have a good time!!! Maybe next year.
  8. Thanks bro!!! Great guy to deal with, would definately do business with him again.
  9. Don't know if we're still using this system or not, but here is some feedback for some carbs I sold http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99973
  10. I have been running Holeshot HDs, they are pricey but they are a good all around knobby trail tire. Very durable too. I am going to try the Razr2s on my next set though, never used 'em. The only gripe I ever had with my Holeshot HDs was they are not a great mud tire. (Not like a Banshee is going to be a mud bike anyway). But on some of the deeper muck they dont self clean very well, and get really slick.
  11. Im not big on lowriders, but that is some awesome fab work!!!! The Banshee looks killer too!
  12. As far as the advantages/disadvantages, that has been covered a ton of times, you can search around, and you will find a lot of reading on that subject. As far as getting one, It's a special kit that you need with the intake parts to convert the Banshee over to a single carb. I'm not sure who is making them now, as I don't plan on running one anytime soon, but I'm sure someone will chime in. Other good mods I have found are +4 timing which will give you some more low end, and a -1 tooth sprocket up front, gives you a little more low end too. Other then that, port work! But thats going to be a little more pricey. It will definately wake up that motor though.
  13. If you guys have or ride or anything like that post it up. I'm down to take a ride out there one weekend. Hell, Ill even bring the beer.
  14. Ohh, ok, well, I cant say that I dont go for the occasional spin on the street. But yea, guess Im pretty clean on ATVs. It just really bothers me here because when you break a law I dont think that it always warrants a ticket. I think sometimes a simple error on your part only warrants a verbal or written warning to drive the point home. But there are cops that will try their best to pound you with tickets, and I see this becoming more and more frequent. MDHC, I read your post, and I agree with you there, I would have done the exact same thing if a renegade cop tried to bust me for riding an ATV on my own propoerty. Actually sounds like cops in NJ. I didnt read all the posts because the thread is so damn long, but I can see where your comin from though.
  15. Ohh I agree 100% I just cant tell if the guy that started this thread was one of those idiots, or if the cop was being a real dick. Ive seen it go both ways.
  16. Hey man, I'm not tryin to put you down, but I gotta know. You don't ever do over the speed limit? You always come to a complete stop at a sto sign for 3 seconds? Ive never met anyone (not to say they're not out there) that doesnt ever break any laws. And when you get caught which you will. I don't beleive it always warrants a ticket or damn near being ruined financially. I know in my case instead of being hammered with tickets, a simple warning would have been far far more effective.
  17. Ehh, had to edit my post there, wanted to throw in a few more things. But I know law enforecement is a sensitive issue. (just like everything else) For a long long time I would stand up for my local police departments any day of the week. I was a PBA supporter, had uncles/cousins in the local PD, many cop friends. Now Ive become so disallusioned with the cops around here, Ive not donated to the PBA since 2002, and I refuse to deal with the police unless I simply have to. Like I said, I dont know if the thread starter is right/wrong or how he approached the cop. But I could definately see this situation going either way.
  18. Damn, this thread is still going?!?!?! I dont know the specifics on whether this dude is right or wrong or whatever, but I will say. I think since a lot of you guys are from different states you don't realize how different cops are in different areas. I have run into some cops that would be happy to help you with anything. Very nice, very courteous, will cut you a break, and even bullshit with you. That being said, it seems like more and more cops are taking this drill sargeant, step on your toes approach. It comes and goes in cycles though, more oppressive to less opressive, and then back again. I think since it was so lax for a while, and now its swinging the other way you start to see more and more people making posts and complaining. Ive noticed this with A LOT of the New Jersey forums I visit. Many many more posts about cops and tickets then there used to be. I also hear A LOT more people compalining about cops then I ever used to. Ive even had trouble myself with local law enforcement, and the outcome was very dissapointing to say the least.
  19. Hey!!! I was in Liberty last weekend. My family owns a lot of property in Walton, near Roscoe. Very nice area.
  20. Damn, sorry to hear about your back, that blows. Bump for ya, that is one SICK R. If your going to be out in Jersey anytime soon give me a ring.
  21. I think "chode" is the word your looking for there!
  22. I dont know anything about the badlands, but TurfTamers are mad old school. They are hard to get traction on because the knobs are too close together, but a lot of guys will cut knobs out here and there and Ive heard then they work decent.
  23. Know any cops in NJ? I got a whole glovebox full of tickets I need taken care of. :yelrotflmao: Good luck to ya bro, with all the spots to ride in Indiana, why hit the roads? I only do that in NJ because we have 0 places to ride.
