  1. Yes it does!!! The lightened flywheel will rev quicker, but the revs will also drop quicker. I didnt like it for the woods, because as soon as I let off the throttle the revs would come way down. Not good in the tighter spots. If I ran dunes or drag though Id definately do one again.
  2. I have an MX port on mine from FAST, and it is all around better then a stocker. Even the top end pulls a tiny bit better. I kept the stock stroke, but don't regret it. The bike is still plenty fun, and will run with 450s with twice as much $$ into them all day long. Id definately reccomend it if your just playing around in the fields and trails. Pipes are going to make a huge difference too depending on what your running. Keep in mind that if you are going to do the port work it's best to do the port work and stroker at the same time, otheriwse youll have to go back and port the jugs again to match a stroker later on. Did you do the +4 timing yet? Cheap easy mod that will give you some extra low end. Reeds wont make a big difference, and unless you get port work you dont really need carbs.
  3. Honestly you probably won't even notice a difference with reeds. The throttle is a little snappier, but thats about it. If you are going to do reeds, and you want to notice a difference your going to have to replace the whole cage with either a Boysen, V-Froce, Duncan, bored stocker, etc... If you just replace the petals you for sure wont notice any difference unless your petals are worn out. It seems like draggers/duners prefer VForce and guys that ride the trails prefer Boyesens, but its mostly just a prefernce.
  4. Depends on where theyre going to, UPS charged me 60 to ship a front plastic to Kansas, so it would probably be a few extra $$ for the whole set.
  5. Ehhh, tough to say. You know you have a good running bike with 0 problems that looks awesome. Who knows what your going to get into with the new bike. Is it worth the risk? Also, what are you doing with the bike? Trail riding, mudding? If so, you definately dont want a cub for it anyway. If your dragging or duning, the cub will be a lot better for ya. Also, how well is the bike tuned/cared for? For all you know he could have had the thing running lean and its on its wya out now? Its really tough to say without looking at and hearing the bike. But he sounds like he has a good bit of money into the bike, which makes me wonder why he would get rid of it for a near stock banshee? Going on what little info I have, I would tend to keep my bike, and do mods to it over time. Half the fun for me is actually speding some loot putting the stuff on, and noticing the difference anyway. And you know you have a solid playform now to do that with. You might be getting somebody elses headache if you trade.
  6. This thread is almost 2 years old! Did you ever wind up picking up a Jeep Meat?
  7. My man, your sig pic is HUGE!!!! Id resize that a little. Damn dude, the front end of your bike looks like it sits really high. Are you using that for trails? And how is it? I wanna adjust my Elkas out a little, and Id like to go just as high.
  8. Also, here's a running j-arm bike in southern NJ for 1600 http://southjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/825585063.html
  9. Seen this on craigslist, it's not mine, but looks like it is at least worth the $$$ in parts if someone wanted to part it out. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/820356344.html
  10. :yelrotflmao: I stopped drinking that stuff anyway. Tastes great and makes you feel good, but I used to feel 100% awful the next morning. I tried to hit you back on AIM a few times, but I didnt get you. Hit me up, Im usually on on the week nights. Also, where in PA are you at, I might head out to coal hill towards the end of the month. My build is done, and Ive been itchin to ride.

:yelrotflmao: Good one, never heard it before either.
  12. Yes it is. But I still wouldnt use it. There is a filter in the petcock in the tank that will work fine. I have also heard of the carbs starving for gas when additional fuel filters are added.
  13. Why buy a whole new flywheel, just pull yours, send it out, and then put it back on when it comes back? The RS ones are a little pricey, and to be honest. I run one on my new bike, and I don't think the magnets are any stronger as they claim, and the wheel seems to be a tad heavier then stock. If your trying to avoid down time on the bike just buy a good used stock flywheel. As far as lightening, a number of shops do them. I got mine done by "boonman" a member on here. I'm not sure if he still does them or is even still around, but he did a damn good job on it.
  14. Stress reliever.... I just used to drink after I finished working on my shit.
  15. Haha, a few people, but mostly in Harmony, good times out there. Ohhh, and I tried to shoot into the hills when I was there.
  16. Wow, sounds cool guys!! I'm trying to shoot for mid to late September, I have a buddy that might be interested. If not, I'll just ride out and see what's up. If anyone has a good date lemme know, if your on the way Id be more then happy to give ya a ride too. I have a big enclosed trailer so I have room for a few bikes. If your interested just shoot me a PM with a good date, and Ill work around that.
  17. Bump for ya bro, these things are stout. I run one on my 2002, and would definately reccomend.
  18. Honestly, a buddy of mine had an old j-arm Banshee that he used to thrash in the trails, and it never got fucked up. I even thought about building a j-arm bike for my new play bike because j-arm frames are way way cheaper, but the extended j-arms are outta site on price. Just wondering why you guys are wanting to switch? Are you having issues with the j-arms?
  19. I could never decide, so I cut one, and left one.
  20. Good to know about the ride, maybe a weekend out there is the way to go. If anybodys gonna be out there on a Saturday or Sunday soon hit me up, Ill definately go out for a weekend and scope it out, otherwise I dont have anyone to ride with, and I dont like riding alone. Also, any place to shoot out there? Or leave the firearms at home? I dont have anything crazy, and Im not a psycho, but I have a .223 thats the same story as the Banshee, lots of loot into it, and only gets used a few hours a year. Ohhh, MJ, your not from around P-Burg are ya? I have friends out in Harmony.
  21. I gotta keep an eye on this thread then, I have been itching to ride. I really only get to go to NY state for a week out of the year and then my bikes just sit. Its tough to justify this new build to my old lady when I dont even ride it. Anyone know a town that this is close to? Ill plug it into my GPS and see what the ebst route is. Even if it takes 2 hours, Id still be down to make a day trip out of it and leave early. Never been on a ride with any HQ members either.
  22. Where exactly in PA is this? Hit me up if you guys go out again, I'm down as long as its not more then 2 hours away from me. I even have a trailer and truck, so if anyone else in NJ wants to go just throw me a fe $$ for gas.
  23. Id say you answered your own question. The jetting sounds about right to me. When You install the idle screws I would also reccomend doing a carb synch too, that will help a little.
  24. Nope, the Banshee didnt really change much. There is a thread with some of the differences, but they are all minor like style of rear carrier, bolt pattern on rear hubs, axle nuts. But even most of the old Banshees Ive seen for sale have been updated with newer style parts.
