  1. That's what most people do, or else if you really wanted to you could put a helia coil in.
  2. Probably wouldnt buy one unless it was really cheap. Carbs are simple, and easy to work on. Not too intersted in the small gains that might be made, I can definately get more bang for my buck elsewhere.
  3. There are a bunch of carbs that will work on that bike. If you can get some pics of the carbs that are on there now and find out the complete steup of the bike (air box setup, pipes, basically all of the mods that are done to it). Post that up in the jetting section along with your riding altitude and outside air temps, and somebody should be able to get you close on what jets you should be running. If you just put on trail ported cylinders and didn't re-jet then thats at least part of your problem. I would NOT ride the bike until you are sure the jetting is very close, or you might be buying another set of cylinders.
  4. I vote for the stockers too. It's the only heel guard Ive found that I liked, even if they don't look so good. I bought a pair of ACs and I hated them. I wear a size 10, and it was a bitch to shift with the nets, even at their loosest. I'd really like to find a pair of IMS heel guards, but they havent been made in a while. They are pretty sick looking.
  5. Bump for ya bro, I run the same swinger and it is awesome. I paid a helluva lot more for it too. Great deal for someone here!
  6. Tought to say, probably someonewhere around $300 if they still have good compression and with the pistons.
  7. What makes it activate? A large pair of testicles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerband This has been covered hundreds of time on this board and others, as well as just about every site that has anything to do with 2 strokes. A quick google or search here will tell you the answer
  8. It's when you stop riding the shee and it starts riding you.
  9. It's the Terry Cable Dual Gasser. It's a lot bigger then the stock throttle, but it is easier on the thumb, and it also turns into a twist throttle if you pop the pin undreneath it. I like it a lot, but it does take up a lot of space on the handlebars.
  10. Any chance you have a bigger pic? Is that the Clarke OS tank? I like the look of them, and you dont see very many.
  11. Thanks for the replies. The pics actually make the truck look better then it is and I'm just really anal with my bikes and cars. The truck is totally fun though, and I get a lot of good comments. I also love the 66-77 Broncos, and I want to pick one up but theyre soooo damn expensive, and I'm about out of garage space. Thanks again guys!!!
  12. Do you mean 28PWKs? If so, any chance you have a pic? Thanks!!
  13. I know I posted pictures of my truck a while back, but I just cleaned it and dialed in the carb for the summer today. Not too much too it, 6" lift, 33" tires, just a summer/beach cruiser. I usually take her out on a few nice days in the summer and on the 4th to the fireworks. It's not the cleanest or meanest, but I have a lot of fun. In the process of getting historic plates and insurnace, and cleaning up the engine compartment. (looks terrible, I didnt even take any pics)
  14. I agree, mine went on super easy, the foot peg had to be adjusted just a tad. I do have trouble with my rear brake lever hitting the cover when it is in the normal position. As soon as you apply the brake, and let it go, you can hear it hit the bottom of the clutch cover. I think my rear brake might just be out of adjustment though.
  15. This probably should have been in the jetting forum. I'm not sure if this will help you, but I ran 28s on a similar setup except I ran an airbox, which will change the jetting quite a bit. I got mine dialed in with 48 pilots and 140 mains. So your going to be at least fatter on the main. Maybe somebody will chime in, but I don't see too many people running them.
  16. That..... was fuckin funny. BTW the site looks to be work safe to me, I didnt see any pictures at all, and no foul language.
  17. I like it!! As an added bonus you could always get a part time job as a mailman.
  18. That's bad ass, I wish I had a black bike.
  19. What are you talking aboot. Sorry, had to do it. Im not from Canada, but I did go up to Saint Donat a coupke years ago, and it was awesome. Id love to go up again, is anyone near there? How are the trails now?
  20. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=115808 Was just covered a few posts down. I think most people are running the FAST clutch.
  21. Looks good!! Hope yall don't see too much mud out there! The elctronics are a must do, especially if youve done away with TORS, there is alot of shit you DONT need in the harness. I took a day on each of my bikes, and just cleaned up the electronics on them. Makes diagnosing problems much much easier!!
  22. Any chance you could do better on the GYTR skid?
  23. Awesome bro, appreciate the offer. How are the cops out there? Do you guys have a good spot? Yeah, both the bikes Ive had impounded were registered. I still havent got my 01 registered but I do have the p-work for it.
  24. Shameless self promotion. They are great pipes!! I got them from a member on here who hardly ever used them. I got them for $200, but they looked really rough. I had them PCed with high temp, and now they look brand new now. Ive tried almost every trail pipe out there, FMF Gnarlies, Fatties, SSTs, T5s, Pro Circuits, Bills, DG, LRDs. And I like the PTs the best, hands down. They pull from the bottom on up through the middle, I'm running a very very mild motor, and the thing is a freakin stump puller. I thought about doing a 4 mil on my build, but I threw these pipes on, and I was surpised at how much extra low end they have. I'm still going to do a 4 mil one day, but the pipes helped out a lot. They are def not top end pipes though. The shee has a little more up top, more so then stock, but these arent going to add top end like CPIs or Shearers. The pipes I would reccomend second are the old style LRD adjustable pipes which I run on my 2002, they are nice because you can play with the adjustment to get just the right hit that you want. I think I have a pic of them somewhere. I do use this strictly as a play bike. I don't race it, so my opinion might be a little biased.
  25. Yeah... Ive had to deal with 3 impunds already so I'm really not down to ride illegally unless its either a really good place or there arent any cops around. Good to know though, is it actually in Staten Island? Cuase cops are dicks out there.
