  1. Somebody mixed them, bot petals should match. Stockers with aftermarket petals are your best bet. Ive ran Boyesens and noticed a tiny difference, but I wouldnt spend $100+ for them again, I have stockers with Boyesen petals on my 2002, and I like it just fine. SOmebody will chime in the the best petals to go on the stockers I'm sure.
  2. I dont think it is the pin that holds the clutch cover to the crankcase, I have all of those, and they are a bit bigger in diameter.
  3. Yeah, normal, had it happen a million times. I always wondered how that vent works because when you split the cases it look like it is a seperate sealed compartment from where the oil is held.
  4. Hey, what's up? I was taking apart a spare bottom end I had laying around my shop today, and I noticed the small metal dowel pin laying on the workbench after I was done. Ive never seen this part before, and I was wondering where its from, I looked through Clymers and couldnt find it in the pics.
  5. Thats what you get when you ride a Honda! :yelrotflmao:
  6. I'm selling off some of the Banshee Engine Parts Ive accumulated around my shop, I'll give free shipping to any HQ member that wins. I also have a tranny and a spare set of cases, stator and flywheel(in rough shape), and some other odds and ends. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/merchant/goodz417
  7. Awww, leave the young chap alone. Where are you from dude? You remind me a lot of a cousin I have in Missouri. I like the avatar by the way!!! I am partaking in activites of the sort as we speak (type).
  8. took the words right outta my mouth Try a dirt bike, always fun to beat around too.
  9. It would make the left side rev a little higher, but there would be noticeably less smoke on the left, and/or noticeably more on the right. My guess would be it is not crank seals. I would think you have an issue with the carbs. Maybe you have swapped the carb bowls (they are unique), you have forgotton the balance tube, didnt synch the carb, the floats are adjusted incorrectly, there is a bad fuel valve, mains/pilots don't match etc etc. Also, have you checked compression?
  10. I'm guessing North by his location in the info on the left. Ive used Action Yamaha in Metuchen for my 4x4s, and they are really decent there, but not cheap. If you have all of the stuff it's really not an easy job to do yourself, but its not really difficult either. Banshees are really easy to work on, if you grab a Clymers and you have done any kind of engine work a bottom end is very doable.
  11. It will either lean if the left seal is gone or you will burn tranny oil if the right seal is bad. The exhaust smoke will look very different on both sides.
  12. Hmm, how now is the direct drive cover? Ive had a knocking type noise ever since I put mine on last year, but I know for sure its not the engine, I may have to pull the cover and take a look.
  13. Thanks for the replies, I know that its hard to say how many times they have been bored, but I was wondering, assuming that the bore is just worn out, not blown up how much it has to be bored for the next piston size. I thought it was 0.5 mm, but wasnt sure. I just wanted to make sure that a 65mm that just has regular wear, no gauges and made 100psi didnt have to be sleeved.
  14. Hey, I was wondering if you guys know what sizes correspon to which # bore the cylinders are one. Fior example stock bore is 64mm I believe so if thats correct 64 mm would be your first bore. I have a set of cylinders that are 65mm, so I was wodnering what bore that corresponds to assuming the bores were done in even increments, and how many bores are left? Thanks guys!!!
  15. Ahhhh, so your technically a drunk that wants to take over the world?
  16. That would be the aluminum frame FI bike. I thought he would be going to that, good bike from what I hear. Its just too bad its a 4stroker otherwise Id consider picking one up.
  17. Do it yourself, save a couple bucks, times are tough. Taken from the Banshee electrical FAQ First of all, you need to make a mark on the stator plate to use as a reference for advancing the timing. Once the stator cover and flywheel are removed (see Q#47), etch a mark on the stator plate on the right side (or towards the rear of the bike) of the stator plate where the upper and lower case halves meet. This mark will be your
  18. One of the mods should be able to move it for you. It may or may not be worth it to put back together depending on what it all needs/what's wrong with it. But you can definately part it out and make a couple c-notes if worst comes to worst.
  19. The pipes pull really hard from low to mid, and wills till give you a little more top end then stock. Defiantely THE best trail pipe Ive tried.
  20. There is a reserve. It sure does look like it, do you think he is getting rid of it to ride the new aluminum framed fuel injected YFZ?
  21. Post up some pics, but it should be ok to go easy with some steel wool to take off the rust.
  22. They don't call it FLEA-BAY for no reason.
  23. Hows about keilbas and perogis? My grandmother used to make some good shit. Holupki?
