How old is the pipe, because eventually it will do that, but Ive seen FMFs, T3s, and DGs that are pretty old and beat that havent.

The spring does just sit in the top of the cap, its a spring so nothing really hold it there. But there should be a rubber type washer that sits in there too(that will be the only thing there), but if you dont have it its not super important.

A little rich is better then a little too lean. I always have oil on my silencers. Occasionally a drip, just the nature of the beast.

Blasters are fun little bikes! My brother has one, and I still get a kick out of riding it. I don't think I would MX one, there are much much faster and better handling quads out there. If your bent on it, try the "Project Blaster" forums, they are pretty good and a ton of info there.

Tires have a lot to do with rider style and preference. Arguing about tires is like arguing about pipes. It really depends on how/where you ride though I havent ran the Razr2s yet, Ive had a couple sets of Razrs, and for the price they get the job done pretty good. If I can ever wear out my HD fronts Id like to throw a set of Razr2s on my Hipers.

Heavy yes, but Ive had mine for a year and a half, with about 20 hours on them and they still look pretty darn good, have at least 80% tread, and thats all trail riding, not on the easiest stuff either. As far as overpriced, i don't think so either, they are on my hipers, and I havent had to plug a tire, or had leaks yet. BTW, what are you running again for a trail tire?
