Good to hear man.If that asshat tried to shit in my forsale thread, I'd message everyone of his bidders for his ebay auction and tell them that his shit isn't worth the money. I normally don't poke my nose into these arguments, but you are correct, and Guy is a cock smoker and a half anyway, I PMed this guy making him an offer for some of the shit he was selling, and he PMed me back with a dick up his ass about it. Glad to hear you got what you wanted for it, though, and your definately right about guy being jealous he doesn't have a bike, mommy probably won't let him.

one last bump before e-bay, finally got a pic. I'll take 280 shipped*very very firm) or trade for YFZ450 shocks. Thanks, they hit e-bay tonight. -
Welcome dude! The Tecates are pretty damn rare, 2 strokes don't seem to be commanding the price hat they once were though. I saw that for sale thread, looks nice! Where in New England are you? I know there is a ton of Jersey riders on this board.

The Crocodile Hunter is no more
LiftdT4R replied to chase@miamiatv.com's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Marry me instead baby! Just got around to hearing about this today, I've been in a daze for the last 3 or 4 days I guess. That is sad, I rmember watching him on TV when I was younger, I'll always remmber the "crickey", and the Australian accent. -
Hell yeah, saved my ass with jetting problems a bunch of times. My only question, I know how to adjust my idle, but when you say idle screws, what are you referring to. I've had my TORS removed for quite some time.

Surprise!!! Everything on message boards always turns into a political or religous debate. I'm suprised no one saw the obvious Bush comspiracy to kill Steve Irwin because he was jeopardizing the moral fabric of America. For real though, can't we just let the man rest in peace? EDIT: Came to me after I posted, see it all the time "Arguing on the internet is like competing in the special olympics, even if you win, your still retarded" Hahahaha, no offense, just in good jest, that's all.

yeah, the Polarises are slow, that auto tranny really kills 'em too. Your running a 280 main, with an open filter and rocket pipes? What altitude are you at? Sounds really lean. When I had my Toomey on, with FMFs, at sea level, I ran a 330 main, and it was on spot, plug chop was perfect.
-
sent you a PM bro, just a though, wish you were damn closer though
-
does it have the skid plate mounting tabs?
-
Wow dude. Your riding way too lean if you havent re-jetted since the pipes, and that's not really good. Are you still running the air box? With the lid? If so, I would bump up to a 260 main(you probably have like a 220 now). You shouldnt have to re-jet for the milled head because your just changing the compression. It will run a little hotter, so bumping up 1 main jet size may or may not help with that. I would re-jet for those pipes right away though, you'll also notice a better power gain. Good luck!
-
Damn dude, can't believe you would part with it. Must have a project in the works huh? ANyways, if you do go through with it, I need: +2+1 Arms Kickstarter Bumper And I'll take those sand tires off your hands. I wouldnt part it if I were you, that's a nice setup you got, but hey if you do, let me know, I can even meet up one weekend, and give you cash for the stuff. Dont do it....... but if you do, hit me up! EDIT: So if you do, I'm calling dibs on the above stuff.

F/S- 1999 Banshee / with pic / trades?
LiftdT4R replied to gottago2stroke's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Damn dude! That is one sick 250r! I'd give you my '02 for it if you were closer! Nice! -
shit.... hell yeah I'm interested, I've been looking through the classefieds like every day. +2+1 right? If you could send pics to JHupp@optonline.net Thanks man!

wow, with all the times I've had to ask for jetting help on here you'd think I'd get the hang of it. :shoothead: , yes, I still have the airbox on, with the lid. I also run at sea level, at around 60-70 degrees. It's running fine now, with a 260 main and a 27.5 pilot, I was able to adjust the air screw to lean out the micture. I was wondering though, how many times can I turn the air screw out before I should change my pilots? And when the air screw comes out far enough should I be going down or up a size on the pilots? Thanks again!

bump, ttt -
hmmm, maybe, I PMed him and offer, and he got all bent out of shape about it, so I'm just gonna bid on the auction instead. These arms just didnt look like the ones on Lonestars site, that's why I was wondering.
-
Shit, forgot that, I wound up getting it though, just leaned out the air screws, and it seems to be fine. Runnin' good again.
-
Ok, I can't figure this one out, thought I had my jetting all down, it was runnin' so good, but today I went out to tool around in some trails behind my house, and I noticed 2 things 1: The engine bogs and does if I rev it too quickly in neutral. 2: It idles much better with the choke out. It runs perfect when in gears, and doesnt bog off the line, so I'm guessing it must be the slides or the fuel/air mixture screw. Can anyone give me some insight? It is the 2002 Banshee with the mods as lsited in my sig. My main is a 260, and my pilot is a 27.5, clip is on the middle needle position. Thanks again for the info!
-
Damn dude nice, that's the route I wanna go with my '01, I like those AC pegs too, the blackline ones look cooler, but that's a sick setup you got! Must be quick down the trails!
-
yeah, I heard those special edition stickers add like what? 10 horse?
-
Check out this e-bay auction, they look a little rusty, but if they are Lonestars I was gonna pick them up, and have them PCed with my frame, and throw'em on. They don't look like the arms that lonestar has on their site though, and I was wondering wether they were or not. Any insight would be helpful. And please don't bid on them if they are, save them for me. :yelrotflmao: Thanks,

I can give you a few tips that work for me. 1- It helps to know what going on inside your carb, read the FAQ, or the how a carb works in Clymers. Until you understand how it works, it's gonna be hard to set up. 2- Loosen all the intake tract clamps, remove the airbox first if you still have it, then the carbs and boots. Unscrew the caps, and pull out the carb. Once it's out, take off the bowl, and voila, you should now be able to see the main and pilot jets. 3- If I'm just compensating for things such as airbox, pipes, and climate changes, I usually just chnage the main, and reset the slides. I have never had to mess with air screws, needle positions and stuff like that, and it seems(although I could be wrong), that you don't unless your doing major changes. Ohh, and read the FAQS up top, alot of this has been covered alot of times, so a good search can help you too, just thought I'd give you a quick run down because I'm super bored here.

Do you have the lid for the airbox too? Does it have the pro-flow adapter? By any chance do yo have the stock filter?

Known problems with the Banshee when stock
LiftdT4R replied to Turbobanshee_kid's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
You post whore, you... First the thread with the posing motorcycle pictures now this..... :yelrotflmao: just kidding dude! Ok, I think the stock stator cover isn't the best. Every plastic one I've ever had leaks water, even when the gasket is on, and they break really easily if you happen to overighten one of the bolts a little bit. What's even worse is the cheap phillips head bolts they put in there, I have stripped a ton. Fix, billet stator cover cover and allen head stator cover bolts from modquad(or your choice). I have the allen head screws, but $300 seems like a lot for a stator cover(could better be used on other mods right now). But I'll get one eventually. -
Good deal, I usually don't take out the springs when I do mine, and I never mess with the needles. I run a really mild setup, and I've only done jetting for airboxes and pipe changes. I might be wrong, but lately I have been finding, that just changing the main, and slides works really well, I havent had to change pilots from the 27.5s, but I don't have any porting or reeds. I would just screw with the slides and mains, it makes it much much easier.
