  1. I had a 2001 banshee with a -2" swingarm, 2 into 1 carb, dmc 916 exhaust, and +2+1 with elka suspension. I sold it here in Ca anyone seen it Now a days I have been riding street but I do miss getting sideways and hearing that motor scream
  2. -2" for sure, you will have no regrets.....I have a stock chopped one but I would like a roundhouse
  3. The wider the better! You are really going to want to get an extended axle with the -2 swingarm. It will make the bike more stable. The -2 swingarm makes the bike less stable at high speeds and the wider axle will help that out. Also a wider axle will help the bike corner by not letting the back tires lift up in the turn. I also noticed that the bike seems to track better in the corners with a wider axle (you won't spin out as much). The back end seems to follow or track the front end rather then try to spin around it (spin out). Have you rode your -2 swingarm yet? Your gonna love it! I also recommend getting 18" tires in the back and 20" in the front with some good skid plates. I use that combo on the trails cause there aren't a lot of rocks here
  4. I have been riding with a stock -2" swing arm for over a year now and it is awesome! It really makes a huge difference on the bike. It gets alot more traction and the front end feels really light. I ride in the dirt 95% of the time so I really needed the extra traction. The bike doesn't push in the corners as much so it makes it easier to ride. It corners awesome. If you combine it with +2+1 a-arms and some good shock it will blow your mind how much of a different bike it is. The only draw back is the bike is less stable at high speeds but you get used to it. My bike just is filtered, piped, and 35mm single carbed in the power department so it doesn't have crazy power. Keeping the front end down isn't a problem at all I think it could even handle some porting. My advice to anyone who rides dirt is to get a shortened swingarm you will love it
  5. well I put fresh gas in out and it still ran like shit. Then I took the spark arrestor off to see if both cylinders were firing ( I have the dmc 916 exhaust). Exhaust was coming out of both so I rode it and it ran awesome!. I guess I need to clean my spark arrestor. IT is the disc type so I guess it got clogged and was choking the motor. Thanks for the ideas!
  6. Yeah Yeah I'm gonna do that first thanks! It was in a cold garage. The gas tank is about 1/2 full. I will check for water thanks! I never thought about that or knew it could happen It looked pretty good yesterday I have a clear gas hose but I will double check
  7. I thought about that cause I have done it before. I think when it runs on one cylinder though there is still a slight powerband. Thanks though
  8. I took my banshee out yesterday and it ran bad. It wouldn't get into the powerband. The last time I really rode my banshee was in early January. I think the gas in it is from December maybe November. I took the carb apart and cleaned it, it wasn't gunked or any thing. The spark plugs were awful so I put brand new ones in but no change. It started on the 3rd kick, idled fine but there is no top end. It kinda cuts out right where the powerband should be. I haven't touched the jetting, changed location, and there hasn't been a temp change really. I have had the same jetting in since October 2006 and it ran great all seasons. If the gas is stale would it cause this problem? What else should I check? Both pipes get hot so I am pretty sure it is running on both cylinders right? I have no time to look at it until Thursday. I am first going to buy some fresh gas and then take it from there...maybe I will check the spark on both sides and the compression
  9. I ran bel ray mc-1 in my banshee for 3 years at 50:1. When I took it apart to redo the top end it looked awesome, that is some good oil
  10. yeah I flagged it and notified craigslist. I guess the sad thing is that some people really are dumb enough to fall for this kinda stuff or else there wouldn't be scammers
  11. So I found this yfz450 for my GF (bronco gurl) and I email the buy about it. He says he is in the U.K but the bike is here in San Fransisco at a warehouse. He says the price includes shipping... I tell him can't you just have your wife go show me the bike? He tells me that he doesn't have a wife when his add clearly says he built this pink yfz for his WIFE but she decided she wanted a rhino. So he says he has an account through moneybookers which is like paypal. He says I give him my name and contact info and he will "pass it on to moneybookers so he can pose as an agent for money bookers to get my payment and they will deliver th bike... What a douch! http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mcy/586104939.html I am gonna contact craigslist but I hope no one is dumb enough to fall for this...
