  1. as long as the parts come back from chrome and chassis is coated. So I guess you could say, "chassis depending" lol... and if I can find a campground.. lol If my chassis isn't done.. I wont make it out.
  2. i'm trying to get into silver creek RV
  3. I missed that memo... Guess I'll have to trade mine in.
  4. ^^^ x2 No reason to go out and spend 100 on a clutch setup. Drive line and Tusk kits both hold HP. I'd just throw some HD springs in if the plates look good. I like the Toomey springs.
  5. C'mon guys!! Lets all sing along! This one goes out to all our fellow trinity fans. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=CWsJcg-g1pg
  6. dont know if i'm going now.. turns out my resv didn't go through.. called them up and they're booked.
  7. it depends on what options you want and how much you want to spend. I dont want to throw out numbers for sponsors.. I would say call them and find out what they're offering for their price. Ask questions and try to get informed on what your getting. Keep this thread in mind.
  8. in defense to the OP.. its not like he said give me a cheap crank.. He bought a package from a builder.. Not everyone in this scene is a pro builder and can tell what brand a part it is simply from looking at it.. We've been around this for 20+yrs.. if you were to ask me how to jet at carb on year one.. I would have told you "whats a jet?" People are here to learn.. I think some people need to learn to try and be helpful rather then degrading...
  9. dont suppose you coulld do something with the sig pics.
  10. can't speak for everyone.. but I havn't and I havn't been around anyone else who has. I have seen many other crank failures.. but.. not due to the rods.
  11. you must be forgetting that 90% of the big banshee engines out there are running hot rods.. which are made in taiwan. I've had about 4 engines using taiwan rods making 100+hp
  12. I'm using hot rods on a motor making over 10x the HP of what a stock banshee does. no problems in 4yrs... Just look at how many OEM cranks are on ebay with bad rods.. they all fail. And last I checked.. OEM dont make 115mm rods.. soooo.. what ya gonna do? Pick the best you can and hope for the best.. as for the sled reference.. that guy added 30% more power.. if you add the same % increase to a banshee you get 40 HP. People are adding well over 200% HP to these motors. Thats like asking that sleds stock crank to handle over 450HP with no modifications.. dont see that happening. The cranks from the sleds use larger bearings.. bigger rods.. all around beefier. Again.. sled comparison is not a good reference... Compare a MXZ800 crank next to a banshee crank.. Its HUGE! gotta compare apples to apples.. I've seen stock motors go 15yrs.. No way is a 80hp bike lasting that long (unless you never ride it). You want reliable.. keep it stock.. You want more power, Start rolling the dice.. the more you add.. the greater the odds of a failure. I'm done.
  13. RZ350. Most people shift their banshees's at redline. and HOLD peak RPM.. My R6 tached out at 15.5. I did most of my shifts around 8-10k cruised around 4k majority of my time was spent between 4-8k Thats half of the peak RPM. So that means a banshee would have to operate around 5-6k to be similar.. your talking 4cyl 4 strokes on a road or a sled with a cvt trans vs. a twin cylinder 2 stroke in a race enviroment. gotta compare apples to apples.
  14. They rebuild them because the motors are stressed from the race. and they dont want a part failure the following race.. And they still blow up all the time.. its a FACT.. Race engines are time bombs.. end of story.
  15. the clutch adjusts.. and then the belt will slip momentarily. a CVT trans is easier on cranks.. end of story
  16. Nick, You can't even compare.. Street bikes operate at a maintained engine RPM typically MUCH lower then peak RPM.. ATV's opperate at near peak RPM their entire life. also.. you said rider.. So the engine reliability is up to the RIDER!
  17. 60hp is either at the crank or one wheel (motorcycle).. RZ350's use a different trans ratio also.. Streetbikes tend to operate at a lower RPM range then off road applications. gotta compare apples to apples here...
