  1. yah, i use a worked over Hillshooter on the rear. Not a off the shelf comp like most use. Took me a while to get it setup the way I like but it works well. I'm looking into other shock setups for the rear. Which will include a linkage and a coil shock. I watched Tyler bring mine down from 12 o'clock and probably used 10" of wheel travel! lol
  2. Get a clue newb.. No one wants to scroll 3 pages while looking at your jalopy. Your SIG is BIGGER then the PICTURE Rjdgriff posted!
  3. Sooo.. a person with great riding skills on a 4-stroke = game over banshee
  4. How about a resize on your sig pic.. Its far beyond excessively huge.
  5. Tried 3 different types of "industrial" velco with 3M adhesive.. Would always fall off and end up on my throttle cables. Maybe a groomed track bike it would work.. but, no go for me. I ended up welding a mounting plate to the tank... Done...
  6. tried velco. They shake off on the bigger motors... no worky for me.. I offered my 14dm as a test motor.
  7. As requested.. thats information I'm not at liberty to discuss. but I will say.. compression and timing were not unusual or radical. Dont really care why.. he explained to me why.. but it went in one ear and out the other.. I operate a Pro Shop. Customers come in and tell me what they are looking for. I make my personal educated suggestion (similar to what builders do) 9 times out of 10.. the customer does not even care about WHY it does what it does.. or WHY it performs differently then something they currently have. They just care about the end result. The 1 customer out of the 10 that does ask why.. I explain the technical specs and explain why it does what it does.. but.. he dont understand it.. but he'll go and repeat it to people as if he does understand. If he did truly understand it.. then why is he paying me? Long story short.. I leave the super technical stuff to the pro's to understand why.. thats what I pay them for. I just care about the end result which was actually was about .1 faster on average over the SB's and had my fastest ET.
  8. i've ran both on my 421. Dyno showed better front side curve with the BB's with same peak HP as the SB's. On my brothers 10 cub we're using BB inframes.( as suggested by the builder) He has used sb oof's in the past.. No dyno data but it does run better with the BB inframes.
  9. how did I know this novel was coming as soon as I saw the thread.
  10. thats my guess.. fuel is pooling in the cases. fires once then drowns the spark. Clean the carbs out good. make sure nothing is stuck in the needle and seat.
  11. Yep, OP is looking for a shaw.
  12. I've learned over many moons... if you own a banshee.. you can't have your cake and eat it too. So i bought that back in 03' for trails and dunes.
  13. Really wasn't that bad. have you had a set? If you havn't... Its ok to hate on stuff you've never used.. everyone is doing it. shaws are a compromise shock.. the OP has a +10 swingarm.. so it would be fairly safe to assume he's not a pure dune rider and doesn't go to the dunes just for "that thing everyone else goes to the dunes for" I dunno.. maybe I'm still new to this "duning" thing... are +10's pure awesomeness for "duning" and air time? guess I'll stick to the dune riding I know.. YEEHAWW!!
  14. Back when I tried to have a dune and drag bike I used shaws.. caught air and hammered whoops.. Took my bike to LS and was jumping it out there with a +12 I dunno.. guess thats not duning. my bad. But I dont use Comps with 800-1500psi either... I missed the part where the OP asked if they were the best for duning.. No there is better options.. but they are not the stiff riding pogo sticks everyone makes them out to be. Are they anywhere near my TCS and Axis shocks?.. Not hardley.. but.. shaws dont cost $2,000.00 either. You get what you pay for. To each their own. Wonder if I can get these for the ziggy?
