  1. What type of bike? get me some details and I'll let you know what I can do. I'm driving right past there.
  2. Its not hard at all. I've been in this game a long time.. Out of it for a long time too.. lol But.. One thing I've learned.. Is its 80% install 20% equipment. Pick your budget and find the best hardware within that budget. I've done a complete install with over 5k worth of product.. and I've done a few full installs under 1k.. All of them sounded great. As I got older... I spent less... lol Electrical is important also, depending on vehicle. I wasn't seeing and voltage drops with my stock electrical.. but I did add a Hi-amp Alt since I was over 3k watts.. Big 3 was actually only a big 1. Some simple math will tell you what is needed from your electrical.
  3. I spent 89.00 for my 5.25's and 80.00 on my 6.5 mid bass. New... The term you get what you pay for is not always true.. Do your research and you can find the sleepers.
  4. secret is clean power.. Rather then push hard with a small amp.. push a little with a big amp. Non-linear clipping is the #1 cause to speaker failure. Smallest amp I've used so far for my front stage is my Diamond 300.2's @ 2 ohms. On my Eclipse component source separates I used a Orion XTR400.2 (100x2) Probably the best sounding amp I've hear besides some of the old high end Diamond and Phoenix gold ZX stuff. The speakers only sound as good as the amp running them.
  5. i dont agree with plug chops.. But.. I do agree with leak testing. more then once I've found leaks that could have been costly
  6. JL components are nice.. I'm old school, So all the shit that used to be good.. has sold out and isn't anymore. I've used Eclipse, Orion, Directed, Diamond, MB Quart and Boston Acoustics back in the days (along with a ton of others).. I think the only one thats still reputable is Boston. I put MB Quart (new stuff) in my truck this year. They're now owned by MaxxSonics so I wasn't sure what type of quality I'd be getting.. But I'm fairly impressed and the price is right. Not on the same level as they used to be IMO.. but.. still nice. Let me know if your looking for some amplifiers. I have 2 Diamond audio D5 300.2 amps that I'm selling. I used them on the front sound stage in my camaro and they were amazing. I couldn't use them in my truck since I didn't have room for 4 amplifiers. I had to go to a 4 channel setup for my for my front. If you choose the MB Quart route.. I have a set of reference 6.5 mid bass drivers and x-over I'd sell cheap also if your interested.
  7. if it were me... I'd do 5.25's in the kick panels and use the 6.5's for mid bass. As far as what brand.. thats entirely up to what you think sounds good.. what sounds good to one could sound like junk to the next.. Some like the bright highs, some like smoother highs. I typically prefer the sound of silk tweeters.
  8. Sounds about like the time the ranger came up when Me and Tyler threw all the firewood out of wes's truck in the road... He pulls up.. and everyone leaves wes and his firewood. Wes says.. "c'mon guys!! WTF!" lmao
  9. PD = Pro Design They'll all work. Just make sure you get one with a steel shaft. and dbl dbl check your bearing and seal. Chariot is my choice.
  10. damn... way to go and screw up a good thing.. lol! Me and Jeff were just talking about Ionia and how we tried to give his old beater 3 wheeler a pull start with the argo. Ended up flipping the 3 wheeler and pulling it about 200ft with jeff running behind it before we noticed it was on its side... GREAT TIMES! lol
  11. Is Jr. Bringing the Argo?? lmao! that thing was nothing but drunken stupidity. It was great!
