  1. if you call duncan racing they can tell you what jets to use and if you dont feel like doing it your self. just tell who ever does the bike what jets you want installed. Its really not that hard to do and you'll save alot of money if you do it your self. just take your time.
  2. I had this problem once, I put a brand new clutch in from duncan racing and the clutch started hanging up on me. So I went through the clutch again and readjusted everything again and It still did it. I took out the new duncan clutch and put in my old dirt digger and it still did it.. by this Time I was gettin pissed. I made some calls and it turns out it was my new clutch perch and lever.. I bought a magnum EZ pull lever and perch and I guess the universal design dosn't have the correct pull. I put my stock perch back on and it worked perfect again... dont know if you changed the perch recently but this was my problem Anyone try the ASV perch and lever sets?
  3. I've had both pipes PT Mid and PT Hi-Rev The mid is a good pipe for trails and mx and the Hi-rev gives a litte up on bottom for a realy strong mid hit with great top end. So its kinda a trail/drag pipe but its still not as good on top end as a drag pipe like CPI or shearer, but is a good comprimise if your looking to do some fast trail riding and some drag racing. I like them cuz I never burn my leg. went through alot of pants with my toomey's
  4. I use the Vortex on my YFZ 450 and love it. it comes with a handlebar mounted switch to go from a enhanced stock curve with +1000 rev limit, to one of the preprogramed curves. I really like the plugs for the tether.. just ran the tether wires right to the CDI
  5. my cousin put in a set on his stock motor.. He said it made a difference for him. It was puttin up pretty good times at the track too.
  6. I dont know what he charges I thought he said like $300, but I dont know if that was for a triple or twin. He claims that it generates a turbine affect that throws more fuel up the transfer ports.
  7. I had wiseco in my banshee for 6 months and when I put my national kit in I swithced to PRO-X . The wiseco piston was in pretty ruff shape with a couple of cold seize spots on the pistons. I was always pretty adamant about warm ups and stuff like that. I just took out my PRO-X pistons 3 years later and the pistons are in perfect shape, and I didn't do anything different that I didn't do with the wiseco's. So from my experience the PRO-X pistons by far exceeds the reliablity of the wiseco. I've known a few people that used wiseco's and didn't have any luck with them either. So from what I've seen I prefer the cast piston over the forged.
  8. what jets are you using now and what problems are you having?
  9. I used the super stock pistons, and they did seem to add some power. Never dyno'ed or anything. As far as a standard wiseco adding power, I dont think it will be noticable at all. I actaully prefer the cast pistons myself. I've used wiseco and they didn't hold up well for me. I really like my PRO-X pistons but I donlt think they make a big bore long rod piston so I think I'll try wiseco again.
  10. The sled had about 9% increase in HP on the dyno. On my banshee thats like 6-7 hp if the banshee yeilds the same gains as the Polaris sled. Depending on price, and if gains are similar.... Might be worth looking into...
  11. Has anyone seen or heard of a turbo mod done to the crank webs? here's a link http://www.snowtechmagazine.com/articles/2002/turbocrank.php I talked to the guy and he said it makes pretty good hp gains on the banshee. just wondering if anyone tried it and if it was worth it?
  12. Usually banshee's are fine with aftermarket pipes, just make sure you bring some packing with you just in case. I got stoped once at the gate with my fatboy2's and I db'ed at 102. Went and repacked got it down to 97 and they let me through. Most of the time you can sneek through. My first trip will be weekend of june 17 i think? Staying at the state park and then again weekend of july 20th or so then I'll be at yogi bear. I'm in the middle of getting a new drag motor built along with a bunch of other stuff (complete overhaul). Hopefully I can get it back together by then. If not I guess I'll be on my YFZ450....
  13. ok here's another question why do people prefer the 21x12x8 skat's over the 20x10x10's for drag racing anyways what makes this tire size better for drag racing then the other? The reason I ask is that I have 20x10x10 10 paddle haulers now, and I'm getting a new motor built for drags and everyone is telling me to get the 21x12x8 10 paddle haulers. So I guess the question is what difference will I notice with the 21x12x8's..
  14. most of the quads listed are purpuse built for one market....either trail, Moto, or sand. They all have thier strong points and weak points... Thats why I use 2 quads Got my shee for duning and my YFZ450 for trails and moto. Also have a Predator but thats the wife's for trails, a extra shee, and a dead 250r (hit a grizzly 660 head on while riding trails. Grizzly got a bent bumper... I had to drag mine out 2 miles with a raptor) Like a big SUV hiting a chevette head on. Not a good outcome.
  15. The sand devil's are made by GBC I had a set on my raptor and they worked very well for the price. In my opinion skat-trak's are the best tire but if your on a budget and need somthing cheap the sand devil would be my next choice. I think there around 110 on rims from rockymountain atv
  16. what exactly is roll out? and whats it good for? pro's and con's?
  17. Loco said it best, your motor builder will (should) be able to tell you the pro's and con's of each set-up. I had a bad experience with Trinity... I'm not going into details but I wont give them my business.
  18. If you looking for a cheap paddle I like the GBC sand devils, Staight blade design gives decent hook up and it has good turning ability. Givin its no where near the quality or as good as the skat-trac its also no where near the price. I think there like 110.00 on rims. Compared to 170+ on rims for the skat-trac's
  19. Same with me... I use 19cc domes and I'm running 183 and I cant use pump gas If you want to use pump gas 21 or 22cc domes will work fine even with 22cc domes you will see a increase in compression should be around 145psi with 22cc at sea lvl according to the chart (with a fresh top end) could be lower with top end wear 21cc 157psi 20cc 169psi got my numbers from Pro-designs website
  20. My vote definetly goes to sidewinder I use the ti series non O-ring I use 15/42 or 14/40 for duning.. Depends on your motor mods Stock motor I would use between 14/42 to 13/42
  21. American Star Racing.. Never had a set but heard good things about them. See them for sale alot in dirt wheel's adds
  22. I believe the earlier models didn't work with larger carbs. I had the 36a i think and I they didn't run very well with my 35 pwk. If I remember right the intake neck on the rad fits perfect into the stock manifold and since I had a bigger manifold for the 35 pwk it must have caused some type of turbulance from the dead space around that intake neck. I'm not a scientist or anything just my take on that whole problem. Put stock cages back in it ran great. ran better once I put the V-Force in.
  23. I had GYT-R for awhile and it worked well. I switched to Duncan Fatboy4 and it seemed to have more low-end with about the same mid but pulled a little harder on top. Heard good things about Dr.D, Sparks and CT's Sonic also
