  1. Yeah Duncan's Triple Plate Chrome is VERY nice.. By far the best that I've owned. Glad to see your happy with the PT's
  2. My bad... I guess you can say all drag ports are not created equal
  3. I would say its going to be pretty easy, I think 04 was the first year for the 450.
  4. thats almost identical to my set-up. Jim told me CGK 4th or 5th clip 50-55 pilot and 152-160 on the main. My porting might be a little different but it should get you in the ball park. and run rich for breakin. Nevermind my sig, the only thing I have left is the head and carbs. My 12-port is sitting next to me right now waiting for the lock-up from direct drive....(I fixed my sig)
  5. I'd say T-5's and If you want a little more Top-end I go with CPI. just my .02
  6. My cousin and I will probably run out there and check it out. My shee will definetly not be ready. Still waiting on my lock-up from direct drive. and the rest of my motor is sittin next to me right now... My cousin will have his shee though. Dont really have much excuse not to go.. its like 4 miles from my house.
  7. My sister's raptor 660 has a K&N proflow with a Yosh slip on and went up 1 tooth on the counter and I beat my buddies banshee with T-5's, K&N, V-force and vito's superstock pistons (not sure if they add much) many times in a 300ft drag. Both bikes are tuned in. I dont think there slow by any means. I think they have gobbs or torque and bottom end power. It pulled the bigger counter like it was nothing. You just have to know how to tune them in cuz they can be pretty tricky. I also own a YFZ450 and a Predator. I think the Predator belongs on the bottom of that list. My next quad for my wife will be a Raptor 700 hands down.
  8. I really liked my PT mids. Smooth power and very strong bottom and mid. Not quite the Top end power of a T-5 though.
  9. I prefer the PT mids over T5's for trails and MX. I like the T5's for faster trails and duning. PT's have a very smooth power deliver with a very strong midrange. I like the top-end power of the T5's
  10. I'll second that. I'll be going in a few times in june
  11. PTR Hi-Rev average bottom with very strong mid range and pulls hard through top. For tighter trails I would go PTR Mid's
  12. I've used both pt's The Mid is more sutied for trails. The Hi-rev is a good all around pipe, a little less on bottom but pulls harder and longer then the mid. Its actually more of a mid-top pipe.
  13. I bought a banshee for 300.00 because the guy coudn't get it to run right. It would start and then just take off and rev out. I knew it was a air leak, anyways I got the cases sealed and I need a good starting point for this thing. I dont know if this guy switched the jetting all around to compensate for the air leak or not. It has T-5's, K&N pro-flow with lid off, V-force, with Vito's superstock pistons. Carbs are Kehin 28 PWK's. Just need a starting point I can fine tune from there. Thanks for any help.
  14. Just wondering if there was a difference between different brand Lock-outs. Are some better then others or are they pretty much all the same??
  15. Steve Miller at Advanced Performance in saginaw
  16. I use 4 old 10" Eclipse 8800 Aluminum subs hooked to 2 old DEI 1100d's. SQ is great with really low extension. I'd like to get some new subs but I got other hobbies now. Cant afford 4 new subs @ $400 bucks each, plus the amps to power them. I'm through that phase. If I get anything new for my car it would be a 3-way componet set. I fell in love with the Boston Pro-series 3-way about 6yrs ago. I dont think they make it anymore and from what I hear Boston went down hill.. If your tight on space I dont know if they still make them or not but Illusion audio had some subs out that mounted the magnet structure on the front side of the woofer to save on displacement in the box. pretty trick lookin sub built for SQ. This was around 8 yrs ago. I quit installing and I'm not up to date on alot of the new equipment.
  17. I agree with bigboybanshee. People think the gain control is a volume knob. So people crank them up. Underpowered subs is the number one reason people blow subwoofers. Ported boxes can have great SQ. You just have to know how to tune the ports to the right frequency for that sub. You just can't pop a hole in the box and throw a port in and call it good. I've been out of the car audio world for a while now so I'm not up to date with the new equipment but I prefer the sound of multiple smaller drivers compared to 2 or three larger subs. I had 8 8's in My Z28 and was killer for SQ and could still play deep and loud. I like Eclipse TI pro subs my self. But the Kicker L7's kick some ass. I heard two 10's running off two Diamond D7's and WOW.... very nice... I'm not a bass head but I like it loud every now and then...
  18. skat-trak extreme 21x12x8 or 22x11x8 ? my new motor makes around 85-90 hp.
  19. I painted my stock nuts also and it turned out well. I have seen chrome Acorn nuts on ebay. forgot how much they were goin for.
  20. I'm from standish too, I didn't know dusty was trying to go commercial. I had three people sign
  21. I have Pyramid valves and I took my banshee apart to get some new motor work and noticed that my reeds are bad.. Would this cause a lean or rich condition in my jetting?
  22. thinking about running oxygenated race fuel and just wanted to hear some pro's and con's about it. What's good and bad....
  23. I'll be there the weekend of the 17th in june and then july 14-23rd
