I searched and couldn't find anything but some reviews on WSM's most people say they havn't had problems. I think "spotty luck" goes for ANY piston. Since my builder recommended them, thats good enuf for me to give them a try. I presonally dont care for wiseco pistons. I'm not saying there a bad piston, I just havn't had good luck with them over that last few years.
But to answer his question, I would think if it was the stock piston on the stock bore and he just honed it. Then I think he should use the stock piston. If he uses a wiseco I believe his piston gap will need to be corrected as the wiseco's need more clearance then the stock casted pistons. JMO I could be wrong..
